A few of my success stories and testimonies:
I first applied for a study visa to Canada in April 2018 and was refused June same year with Purpose of Visit. Second Application was in Feb 2019 and was refused the same month with Purpose of visit and travel history.
In both cases, I used the services of an agent and I applied with the M.eng (One year course based) admission letter Shortly before my second application, I contacted Frankrobbn to assist proofread my SOP. Despite his kind assistance then with every effort put in place, I was still delayed. Then after my second refusal, I contacted Bracha who encouraged me not to give up and assisted with part of my SOP correction.
Sometimes in Jan this year, I had thought of switching from the Meng to Msc but getting supervisor was the issue. After a series of emails with usual "no funding, no space" responses, God finally came through for me and that marks the turning point in my Canada journey. I got a Prof willing to supervise me and provided the Stipend that fully covers my study around April and then I decided to reapply for the 3rd time in May 2019.
This time around,Qudkom came to my rescue. We talk extensively, exchange emails and I had to even travel to a neighboring city to meet this wonderful and kind guy that I didn't know from anywhere just to ensure I get it right this time. Anyway, no more agent as I am prepared to take all the advice of the gurus to do it by myself.
Few days to my submission date, I had to literally go through all of Franks past post to ensure all my T's have been crossed and I's dotted.
My special appreciation thus goes to Frankrobbn, Bracha and Qudkom who positively influenced my application in a way or the other Every other guru: Makano, Justmellow and so many Monikers I may not mention. God bless your selfless efforts on this thread.
I need to also mention that I am advanced in age and I have never traveled outside Nigeria before and I also graduated university in 2006 with about 11 years working experience. Married with 2 kids but I decided to apply alone first. This is to encourage someone not to really give up.
Nevertheless all human efforts, IT IS NOT OF HIM THAT WILLS, NOR OF HIM WHO RUNS, BUT OF GOD WHO SHOWS MERCY....
More Success stories to every applicant awaiting feedback from Schools or the Embassy!!! |

Bobbyunitedfc: . Bros no vex...u no say na manual labor/factory job we dey do here and am contended big time.....I Sha know security job is hot cake here too my brother...
All theses fields u mentioned above is already saturated with Indians and Filipinos.... Let's not decieve ourselves bikonu I feel by the Indians and Filipinos get the hot jobs here is because of there patient and good stranded of there educational system and background, we Nigerians are too quick to make money.... Good things don't come easy, we spent alot of money to acquire Canadians and US educations so we can fit in their society, why not do same here and see if you won't get that oil and gas or IT jobs, i encourage others who is taking UAE as a second option like me have expectations, get a degree with that small job be positive, put in your best with prayers and see what God have for us all, am not a guru but i feel this is my opinion. |

Thanks alot bro.... I have tried to relocate to Canada severial times on my own without the help of family members but yet no way reason of funds so i take UAE as an option no vision in Nigeria currently so trying out other places, with faith and expectations knowing fully well what you want to do as soon as you get here matters.... Keep a positive attitude please and let God take his course. mavinjay1: You guys that kept saying "Go back home & hustle" But Naija is nothing to write home about neither... even those in Naija are willing to leave. The more people think of going back home, the more the people at home are willing to leave the country also. Everyday about 80-100 Nigerians enter UAE everyday... So which way? May God just help person...
Just be very patient & follow the advice of people like NonnyG. Attend like 3-5 interviews every week (walk in or no walk-ins). Never downgrade any job, Start with something but make your research about the firm very well before u enter... Its very important to know the type of Al Bab dat will employ you.
I know people that ive done visa chance 2 times - 3 times... still no job.
Once again:Just Start with something.. any job you see to get your Pali After 6 months you then escape. Even better jobs need at least 2 years UAE experience before u get am.
Nigeria system is not that when u go back home... there is guaranty of success. The chance of being succesful at home is very low. People that went back home are now in ghost mode on this thread because i can imagine the type of life they will be living now... Nothing is promising in Naija... People at home will tell you the way things are right now.
Take care of yourself, Pray & always be patient!! |

charlesELIKIBA: this is a painful experience. i feel so bad anyone will go through this considering how you raised money for your trip and to now go back to square one is the saddest sight for any individual or parents sef. i think its very important for us here to be transparent. this thread isn't transparent. i do not want a dime from anyone here BUT WHOEVER IS READING THIS:
PLEASE 3 MONTHS VISAS ARE FROM N170,000 TO N200,000 (anything more than that, tell the person to go to hell and find another trusted person).
FLIGHTS GRACEFULLY AIRPEACE NOW COMES TO THE UAE FOR N180,000 TO N190,000 for a two-way trip. anything more than this tell the agent or person to go to hell. you can even get cheaper prices on other airlines but maybe longer flight hours but airpeace is a direct flight (8hrs).
BEDspaces are from N50,000 to N65,000 maximum.
i know this will be taken down because i mentioned prices but i also want to say i am not an agent neither do i know any agent. i just am fed up of hearing stories of people coming to the UAE FOR 1MILLION, 900,000 for 3 months stay. its is selfish and sad.
my friend i wish you goodluck in Nigeria. God will not abandon you. Thanks allot bro for being transparent ....pls i will like the gurus in this thread to be truthful and honest so we the aspirant can benefit thanks. |

Holla3110: I'm sorry about your situation but that's the reality here, if someone had advised you not to come then, apparently you would have seen a prospective enemy of progress, the truth is bitter but we must say it, UAE is a beautiful country with fantastic infrastructures but we Africans especially Nigerians will find it difficult to strive here unless for few lucky people. I came in UAE as a cleaner earning 36k monthly, I did a management course and it was very expensive while doing a cleaning job. God smiled on me and I got promoted to a Procurement Administrator in my company where I was once a cleaner and I was earning 5,000 drms... only few Nigerians will have this luck or opportunity. I worked for 6 more years, obtained diploma in Photography and that was how I became a CEO, I went back to Nigeria and I have no regret since I came back, I do travel to UAE for visit and other countries for events photography. Most of the guys in UAE are spending naija money I. E visa procurements for their fellow brothers, most of them earn 1,200drms as salary but they make averagely 400k monthly in procurement of visas and accommodations for same Nigerians, you see them come back home with cars and you are intimidated and wanna follow their footsteps. There is no harm in trying, who wanna come should come and see. Bro i sent you a message |
