Billfootprints: Those pioneer people are liars and thieves. I bought their seed for 50K a hectare with the agreement that they will supervise the planting by teaching us their procedure and monitor till harvest. The moment I payed, I didn't even get my seeds till well after 2 weeks. Another 2 weeks was wasted before planting because they didn't show up. They even stopped picking my calls.
The moment I planted the way I knew how, they came to the farm and said I will not get the yield of 10 tonnes/ hectare because I didn't follow their procedure.
In short, I farmed 10 hectares and got 105 bags of 100kg. That's just above 1 tonne/ hectare.
I then told them to do their demo so I'll take my lessons learned, do you know that they made me pay for the clearance, labour , fertilizer etc. They only came with their seed and they planted on 1/4 of an acre as against the 1 acre they promised " free of charge".
I've been so dissapointed in them and it's in an effort to farm better next season that I stumbled upon this site. Imagine then my shock realising that they are here advertising their fake product.
For your own good, don't fall for their trick. They are fraudsters glowdot4: We have two maize hybrids, white and yellow. Former has a potential of 10 tons per ha and the latter has a potential of 12 tons per ha.The white is better in the savannas and the yellow has adaptation for the forest and savanna.Maturity period is100 days dry down but 75-80 days to eat fresh. We do training and after sales service from Pre-planting to harvesting. We will guide you through and these are free. contact for more details -+2348170012069 Can glowdot4 comment on these allegations? |

All our feeds are balanced in energy, amino acid profile of Lysine, Methionine, and Cystine. (These amino acids are needed to support the growth of structural bones, ligaments, and muscles), Vitamins, major and trace minerals. OUR BROILER FEEDS-Broilers have special requirements different from other poultry in terms feed components such as energy, protein and minerals during different stages of their growth cycle. Therefore we have formulated our Broilers rations with high protein requirement for the development of muscles and feathers. After 4 weeks of age broilers needs higher energy for the deposit of fat. This explains the higher energy content in our Grower and Finisher ration. OUR CHICKS FEEDS-Our chicks mash are formulated to be fed as the sole ration to growing birds no other grains or supplements are required. At 8 weeks, chicks can be started on Grower Mash. oshonola: please ur. advice is needed This is a commendable step in the new year. I will suggest you take time to go through previous posts on poultry and layers management on Nairaland. Lots of invaluable nuggets for people like you to gain from. I am a farmer, and I still go through all the posts on agriculture to increase my knowledge. You must search for knowledge, nobody will drop information on your laps. With your perceived hunger for success, you will make it. Cheers |

lanre2009: So how can this Methionine be added to their feed organically? Synthetic Methionine is available in the market as vitamin premix, but because synthetic amino acids are not allowed in organic livestock production, and cannot be used in organic feed, nutrition can present challenges in organic poultry production. Providing the amino acid methionine (MET) without oversupplying protein is generally the most difficult. Feed rations that are high in plant proteins, such as soybean meal, can be used instead of synthetic MET, but high-protein diets are not healthy for poultry or the environment. Diets containing non-conventional sources of protein, such as earthworms or insects, can help provide MET, but these ingredients are, in most cases, not available in sufficient quantity in organic form. Other practicing poultry farmers in organic feeding should please contribute, for every one of us to learn. PS: We are not practicing wholly organic feeding yet, but conventional poultry practice, though we are very much interested in these. Kudos to the torch bearers |

Your project is commendable. I hope my contribution is not belated - if the birds had been sold for christmas, but for knowledge base, the most common reason that feathers do not develop is a deficiency of a critical protein constituent (amino acid) from the diet of the birds. The feathers of birds contain high levels of a subunit of proteins called "methionine." Methionine is one of only a few amino acids that contain sulfur, and sulfur is a major constituent of feathers. If bird diets are deficient in any single amino acid, it will most likely be methionine. An adequate level of methionine is required in the diet and a deficiency results in reduced growth and feather development |

I remember some of the words of my grandpa:
There will always be distractions in a market place, but a focused trader minds his business without bothering about the noise distractions.
Buy if you can afford, walk away if you cannot afford. No insults, no name calling.
Only those that values gold will see the intrinsic value in a gem.
@ charlesbenin [s]"your price is fraudulent .why no farmer so far testify your pig is super and you say no visitor can come to your farm.
you are a sweet mouth marketer not real farmer. pig is not expensive like you project and misled.
I advice beginner to go out and findout facts not from internet scam behaving as farmer[/s]" |

Thanks all |
