Christianity Etc › Re: My Parents Are Treating Me Bad Because I'm An Atheist- Anonym0us by Greenbullet(m): 3:03pm On Jul 17, 2016
aaronson:
Op I suggest you pretend and blend in with them, you will not be with them forever. My parents never liked my idea of Atheism initially but the day I HUMILIATED their pastor during service, they start to respect my idea about Atheism and my dad even stopped church.

My advice is pretend to do every religious participation you told to do just for camouflage, You know yourself outside their roof.

Christianity Etc › Re: My Parents Are Treating Me Bad Because I'm An Atheist- Anonym0us by Greenbullet(m): 1:57pm On Jul 17, 2016
You're an atheist and
your batshit insane parents don't seem willing
to accept your beliefs. In general, there can be
a lot of tension between kids and their
parents, and I know for sure it doesn't help
when you disagree on something with as much
gravity as religion. But parents are important
people in your life whether you agree with
them or not, and I hate to say it, but they still
control pretty much everything you do. Right
there, I know, you want to rebel and do
something to prove me wrong. My first piece
of advice is don't do anything stupid out of
anger. Don't go getting drunk or high just
because your parents are ignorant, you'll only
hurt yourself. Do you really want to give them
the ability to sway your emotions like that?
It's really more rebellious to just brush it off.
Don't let them affect you in negative ways.
Now, at some point, you're going to have to
approach your parents if you want to be
accepted by them. So, let's talk about that
inevitable meeting. STAY CALM. No, really, no
matter what they say or do or whatever shit
they spout, stay calm. Do not lose your
temper. This is very important for many
reasons--mainly, it will make you seem less
childlike. Also, if you can truly avoid anger,
you'll be able to speak more rationally and
your points will be clear and accessible. Anger
clouds your judgement and you'll likely say
something you regret or something that'll
screw up your relationship with your parents.
That's the last thing you want. No matter how
your parents treat you, it's important to keep
at least a decent relationship. After all, they're
still important. You see them every day,
probably. You're forced to be around them. It's
so much easier to bear if you and your parents
get along. So, whatever you do, try to be the
bigger person. Try to be the one that's
accepting, try to love them, even if the feelings
aren't returned yet. Chances are, if you can
show your parents that you can love them and
appreciate them despite your differences,
they'll see that they can love you too.
However, if things go wrong and your parents
simply will not accept you, just remember that
once you hit 18, you can get out of there. You
can drop communication with your parents
forever, if you want (although I don't advise
this at all--please try to remain on good
terms with your parents, you will most
definitely regret it if you're the one who
destroys your relationship). Most of you are
probably in your teens, so it's really not that
long of a wait. Just stay strong, and if it's
really bad at home, seek refuge at a friend's
house. Also remember that this page (and
others) are always here and you can contact
us at any time. We're eager to help you get
through whatever shit happens. (I've left my
own email address below if you want to talk
with me personally). Now, down the road, if
you left home with a bad relationship, be
willing to forgive. If your parents try to patch
things up, be open and warm. However, let
them know that you don't want a relationship
if they can't accept who you are. In time they
may accept you, or they may not. Just don't
hold a grudge.
Let's move on to those of you with friends or
coworkers who don't accept you. Luckily, you
can choose your own friends, so if they really
won't come around, then you're not obligated
to be their friend. Although if you want to
make a friendship work, you're going to have
to approach the person. The same advice as
above holds true here: stay calm. In situations
like these, avoid discussing the religion itself
or god. Leave the theology out of it. Simply let
them know if they don't accept your personal
beliefs, you don't want to hang around with
them anymore. However, remember to be
accepting yourself. If your friend is religious
and you're not, don't mock them and don't try
to disprove god at every turn. If theology is
something you can't talk about without
arguing, just don't talk about it at all. Agree
to disagree and move on.
If you have a religious coworker who
constantly bothers you about religion (or
anything, really) often you can talk to your
boss and they can talk to the other person.
Things become tricky if your boss is the
religious one--you could try to talk to his
boss, and so on. If that doesn't work, again,
you'll have to approach the person. Tell them
not to bother you about it. If you can, just talk
about work. Don't get angry, ever. Ignore their
taunts. Focus on getting work done and
hopefully they'll follow your lead.
No matter who you have to deal with,
remember to be calm and accepting. Set an
example for the other person and be willing to
forgive.

Education › Fg Scraps Cbt, Pegs Post -utme Fee At N 2, 500 by Greenbullet(op): 11:11pm On Jul 06, 2016
the Federal Ministry of Education and other
stakeholders in the tertiary education sub-
sector have agreed on N2,500 as the fee for
post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation
Examination (UTME) screening.
This is contained in a statement issued by
Prof. Michael Faborode, the Secretary-General,
Association of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian
Universities (AVCNU) on Wednesday in Abuja.
Faborode said the agreement was reached
after a deliberation of officials of the ministry,
federal universities, polytechnics and colleges
of education.
The secretary-general said while it was agreed
that the post-UTME screening should be
sustained following the scrapping of the
Computer Based Test (CBT). “From the statement made by the Permanent
Secretary, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan, at the
meeting, there is no objection to screening by
universities as long as it is not another CBT.
“She agreed that universities should advertise
and the maximum fee that should be charged
for the screening should be N2,500 – bank
charges inclusive.’’
According to the statement, the association
will formally convey its stance to the Minister
of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu.
NAN reports that Adamu’s recent
announcement of the ban on post-UTME had
raised a lot anxiety among stakeholders.

Christianity Etc › Are Women More Gullible? by Greenbullet(op): 10:42pm On Jun 26, 2016
Let me begin this by giving my
definition of gullible.
Gullible is the tendency to believe
what you are told without strong
objective evidence to support the
statement.
I have known for a long time that
more women than men are strongly
religious. Go to your average church
service and you will nearly always see
more women. Religion, of course, is a
superstition, in that there is no
strong empirical and objectively
derived evidence to support its tenets.
I was doing some reading on
alternative medicine and I was
interested to see that more patients
of quackery are women.
http://www.gendermedicine.com/1st/
images/P82.pdf
Ditto for astrology.
So why is it, we see more women
than men patronising obvious
superstitions?
Are women more gullible?
I can even envisage an evolutionary
reason for this. We all know how
common it is for a man to lie to a
woman in order to get sex. If women
were not gullible, they would not fall
for that, and human reproduction
might be a lot less productive.
Note that gullible does not mean
stupid. I have met a lot of very
intelligent people who nevertheless
believe things they have been told
without supporting evidence.
So when I ask if women are more
gullible, please do not think I am
accusing them of being less than
smart. But am I right?

Yorùbá MOTHERS produce the best range of slaps: IGBATI, IFOTI, IGBAJU, IGBARUN, IFORUN, IFAKUN, ILADI, ABARA. These slaps will make you think you were adopted. IGBATI will make you correct your wrongs instantly! The beauty of IFOTI is, you will confess your sins on the spot. IGBARUN, IGBAJU and IFORUN will make you expose those who committed the crime with you without hesitation. ABARA and ILADI will make you pee in your new pants. Now ABARA is the worst... And apart from IGBAJU, we have an advanced one which is IGBAJU OLOYI. When you receive that one, you'll lose balance and your head will go into "auto-search" as you'll be looking for what hit you. This will make you do all the actions of the other slaps aforementioned at once! OH! IGBAJU OLOYI... it can reset someone to 3D (DEAF, DUMB, and DAFT). She will say let's go home and u will say it's in my pocket ma. Lol God bless our parents for the good upbringing. If you were brought-up in Yoruba land, regardless of how caring your mother was, you'd have encountered these slaps
