@cmagnum please how did you booked a valid hotel. Through all I have been reading all this embassy no longer accepts booking.com or hotel.com reservations again. Please enlighten us.

Notwithstanding the type of visa being applied for, applicants should note that they need the following documents.

A duly filled and signed application form
All the fields of the form must be filled.
A valid Nigerian passport with at least two free pages, and 6 months validity
2 clear colored passport-size photos
Proof of payment of visa application fee
Travel health insurance
Other supporting documents could be

Hotel accommodation- for tourist visa applicants.
An invitation letter from a sponsor in Italy – For family visa applicants.
And any other documents supporting the purpose of the planned visit.
Proof of financial capacity.
Underaged (below 18 years) applicants, would need to provide the following documents:

A copy of birth certificate issued by the National Population Commission
A letter from the applicant’s school stating clearly the class attended and permission of absence.
Written consent from parents in form of a sworn Affidavit issued by a High Court including the parent’s identity photograph and a copy of his/her passport.

Important notice for all visa applicants

Please carefully read the requisite documents that you need to submit together with your visa application. Ensure that you have all the documents indicated in the list, as lack of one or more documents can result in a visa denial.

Applicants are strongly advised to submit originals and photocopies of their own supporting documents.
Documents submitted in photocopies only will not be considered in view of the visa evaluation.

Applicants should be aware that submission of photocopies only might lead to a visa denial.

If for some special reason a certain document cannot be provided in original and photocopy, the applicant or the Nigerian sponsoring company should indicate these reasons in an official letter.

The only documents that can be submitted in photocopy are the identity card and the passport of the Italian sponsor signing the letter of invitation..

Furthermore, all adult applicants should always submit their own personal bank statements, irrespectively of the scope of trip (business or tourism).Applicants are strongly advised to do so as without the personal bank statements there could be no correct evalutation of the application and this might lead to a visa denial.

In case of applicants owner of small businesses, if for some reason they have only their company’s bank statement, an original letter of the bank stating that the applicant is the sole signatory of the account should be submitted.

Applicants please be informed that Italian consulate would require a minimum of three (3) consecutive empty pages in your passport in order to issue a visa STICKER on your passport.
Applicants can simply walk in without prior appointment to any of our VFS centers in Lagos or Abuja. . Abuja submission timings are 8a.m to 3p.m Monday –to- Friday and Lagos submission timings are 8a.m to 2p.m Monday –to- Friday.

@smikeymum. As long as her visa is still valid . She's good to go. She just have to know what to say whenever she's travelling. They really don't delay all this grown parents like that.

All this people waiting to hear from Can embassy is it that is now taking this long now. Who ever has gotten there visa should say something to keep there hopes up please.

If you are to appeal to the French embassy you won't even get any response any time soon. The mistake you made was applying to them at the first place you should have tried Italy and still need to visit France you can go from there. You are travelling back on 8th nothing can be done. Just enjoy ya trip to UK. Next time France seems to b extorting people that's what I can see. It's never your application is them. .good luck

15 working days, sometimes more. I'll advise you submit asap. If possible today and go there early incase you filled the wrong application or your photo ain't right bla bla. You can re do it outside .you don't have much time sweetheart you've wasted time. Good luck

You r going vfs lekki to submit and pay same day .No Appointment needed.

You don't have any problem . Applying from London its straight. You walk in and get interviewed you will know your faith right there on the spot. What am not sure about is if you will have to book an appointment before walking in.. Google three contact in London talk to someone on the phone .
