Whatever you think IPOB is doing in Oyigbo has been done in other states, but the Governors did not invite the Police and Army to turn the place into a war zone because they knew it would make things worse. In August there was s clash in Emene Enugu between the security forces and suspected IPOB members. The security forces were shooting everywhere and killing people. Governor Ugwuanyi went there to douse tension. He even promised to get to the bottom of the matter. Ugwuanyi did not go about banning IPOB and inviting the Army and Police to go and turn Emene into a war zone.

But this idiot called Wike heard that there was crises in Oyigbo, civilians and security forces allegedly killed. Rather than going there, or sending a representative to douse tension and reassure the people, he sits down government house, blames IPOB, signs executive order and invites the Police and Army turn Oyigbo upside down.

In almost every state in Southern Nigeria, Police stations were burnt and some officers lost their lives during the ENDSARS crisis. But only Wike is calling in the Army and Police to turn his state into war zone. What a fool he is

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has defended governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State who has come under fire for sponsoring the killing of irate youths who took advantage of the #EndSARS movement.

Fani-Kayode said that those leading the narrative of governor Ugwuanyi being a murderer are using the #EndSARS agitation to undermine the integrity of the governor and destabilise his state.

The former minister who disclosed this in a series of tweets on his verified twitter handle on Thursday said that Ugwuanyi along with governors Umahi, Obiano, Ayade, Udom, Makinde, Fayemi among others have always been on the side of their people.

Fani-Kayode said that if the allegations were to be true, he would have been the first to speak out and condemn them.

He said, “I have been in the forefront of those fighting against injustice & oppression for the last 5 years & I have spoken out more than most.

“I wish to state loudly & clearly that the suggestion that Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwanyi of Enugu state, is a heartless murderer or a killer is false.

“If he was I would be the first to say so. The truth is that he has always been on the side of his people. Same with Gov. Umahi,Gov. Obiano,Gov. Ayade, Gov. Udom,Gov. Makinde,Gov. Fayemi,Gov. Matawalle,Gov. Oyetola & Gov. Tambuwal. Had it not been for the efforts of these leaders far many more people would have been killed in their respective states over the last few years by forces that are utterly heartless & evil. I know the role they played to save lives & protect their people even though much is not known to the public.

“If they were evil I would be the first to say so & I would attack them openly & forcefully. There are some good Governors and there are some bad ones. These ones are amongst the good. They are not amongst those Governors that horde food & Covid 19 palliatives or that are ready to kill their own people or crush them simply for protesting or conducting demonstrations. They were also seen jeering and jubilating about what happened to the Oba, because of the Lagoon issue...they were jubilating and happy at the destructions of BRT busses in Ojodu and Jibowu.......THIS WAS THE POINT WHEN MOST YORUBAS BEGAN TO DIFFER FROM THE IBOS, IRRESPECTIVE OF THE UNITY OF PURPOSE OF THE ENDSARS PROTEST, Yorubas know where to draw the line when it comes to their culture and traditions...

Then the spread of fake news about the shooting in Lekki originated from Pro-Biafra pages and blogs and amplified by LARGELY IBOS, UNDER THE COVER OF OPPOSITION TO THE GOVERNMENT.....Even Nnamdi Kanu's video was asking Ibos to target the properties of Yorubas and leave those of ibos....if you were a yorubaman hearing that how will you feel?.....
