Phew! >>sighs deeply>> wow a 100th page already. Remember discovering this page a few months back and ensured I read through the entire pages..then it was about 40 though had not been registered on NL then buh totally loved this thread since then ve just been reading through and today decided to post sumthing to just officially become a part of this "special thread":besides they say being a part of something special makes you special...you guys are wonderful and I can tell you that this thread has been and is still instrumental even to hopeful medics. With the kinds of posts, questions and replys I have seen here this is my submission: that the prospect of the Nigerian health sector abounds ...the Nigerian medics both practicing and hopefuls should be celebrated and by Gods grace in the nearest future the height, glory, aspirations that petroleum resources and agriculture has failed to be bring Nigeria to, her robust health sector with the kinds of brains behind it will...I am ifeanyi buh on NL known as gregdcutie and I am a proud nigerian medic!

For me i feel the need to impress exam bodies is our problem. Much i know about exams then was that, it usually was set as an average standard for every1 buh now exams are set for only those that are exceptionally brilliant and the need to pass..students must pass now

Catholic Clerics, Anglican Bishop, Pentecostal Churches, Imolites Warn Imo Govt, Lawmakers . I Have Nothing Against Okorocha, Says Archbishop Obinna .As Okorocha, Imo Assembly Open Up Today OnControversial Law
There are strong indications that the present administration in Imo state may have indulged in self-destruction by signinginto law, Law No 12 of 2012, which is geared towards eliminating violence in private and public life and other matters connected thereto, have emerged, as Catholic clerics led by Archbishop Anthony Obinna, Anglican Bishop, Pentecostal Churches and Imo citizens are poised for a showdown against the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and Members of the Imo State House of Assembly followinga recent revelation by Trumpeta Newspapers that a part of the Law Section 40 (G) & (I) contains contentious clauses that propagate abortion. Thunderous responses from all quarters have joined forces to condemn the obnoxious law which has been given assent to by the StateGovernor.
In separate forum, concerned stakeholdersin the state regarded as inhuman and devilish the section of the law which states “Every woman shall have the right to enjoy reproductive rights including the right to medical abortion in cases of sexual assault, rape, incest and where the continued pregnancy endangers the life or the physical, mental, psychological or emotional health of the mother”
Meanwhile, The Catholic community rose in unison last Friday to condemn the legalization of Abortion in Imo State, just as it declared that it has no grudges againstthe Okorocha administration.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, the Catholic Archbishop said it is not true that he is personally opposed to Governor Rochas Okorocha, saying the church is only bent on opposing bad policies.
“The church had taken tough stance against past governments, including military governments. The church has always been interested in public affairs and matters. We stood against the military government when they wanted to fuse the College of Agriculture at Umuagwo with IMSU. As a social scientist, I will always be interested in public issues” Archbishop Obinna stated.
The Bishop also denied claims in some quarters that he masterminded the ascendancy of Rochas Okorocha as Governor of Imo State in 2011.
“I never initiated his emergence as governor of Imo State, but the Church will continue to be interested in issues and evolving trends. I will always align myself with such trend.
During Ohakim’s era, we saw the trend and we will always align with such trend. I am not involved in any political party dynamicsin his environment. I cannot shy away frompoliticking. I will continue to be interested on what goes on in the society”, the Catholic Archbishop declared.
Archbishop Obinna, who spoke on the controversial Law No. 12 of 2012, said that the law by its provision legalized abortion in Imo State.
He stated “From what I understand from that section, if a pregnant woman feels uncomfortable over pregnancy, she can abort the baby even at the ninth month. That is murder. The Law is a room to encourage abortion and it should be repealed immediately. Abortion is evil”.
In a related development, Bishop of Anglican Diocese of Egbu, Rt Rev Geoffrey Okorafor, has described the Pro-abortion bill recently signed into Law by the Governor of Imo State as a sin against God as far as the church is concerned. He averred that Imo State is entirely a Christian state and advised both the Government and the Legislature to guard against betraying the confidence the people have in them.
He explained that by the Law they were promoting and legalizing prostitution, warning that it should not be.
Meanwhile, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Governor Rochas Okorocha will tomorrow explain the involvement of his administration in the on-going law sagathat is tearing the state apart.
Trumpeta gathered that church leaders from the Catholic, Anglican and Pentecostalfamilies were expected at the event.
Where the governor will explain his stand on the law.
As palpable tension rises in Imo State over the passing into law of right to commit abortion by the Imo State House of Assembly and assented by Governor Okorocha. A Catholic Priest, Rev Fr Alex Okoro, the Parish Priest of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Mother Parish, Emekuku, Owerri North, has said that Governor Okorocha is an anarchist and anti-democratichaving intentionally legalized abortion in Imo State, an act against God, nature and humanity.
At a Eucharistic service on 1st September 2013, at our Lady of Mount Carmel Mother Parish Emekuku, Fr Okoro maintained that the legalization of the termination of unborn baby by the governor and his cohorts is “tragedy with good intention. Abortion is nothing but murder. To legalize abortion is to legalize murder”.
The clergy emphatically said “now in Imo state the people are afraid of Owelle, so there is anarchy. I think Owelle has won his last election in Imo. No Catholic with good conscience will vote for him again”, Fr Okorocha said.
He however quoted Benjamin Franklin of Britain who said “when the people fear the government, there is anarchy, but if the government fears the people there is democracy”, he concluded.
Fr. Okoro charged Catholic faithful to always be humble and fear God in truth and in spirit and also love and forgive one another to merit God’s love at all time. He thanked the CWO for their successful August home and abroad meeting of 2013.
PoliticsBattle For Imo Apc Structure:okorocha, Udenwa In Fight To Finish by Gregdcutie(op): 8:56am On Sep 05, 2013
Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha and former Governor, Achike Udenwa are now in a rat race to take control of APC structure in Imo State.
The stage was set by the Interim National Leadership of APC, which last week unveiled criteria for robust membership drive to be driven by a State Harmonizationand Registration Committee (SHRC).
According to a document released by APC national headquarter and made available toTrumpeta in Owerri, the national leadershipaccording to the document, confers headship of the party to “Governors/Deputy Governors, past and serving, who are members of the party”
This implies that both Governor Okorocha and former Governor Achike Udenwa automatically heads the Harmonization andRegistration Committee which is expected orchestrate the membership and mobilization drive in the state.
The terms of Reference of the State Harmonization and Registration Committee include; to harmonize and fuse the structures of legacy parties into one united, strong and vibrant APC in an atmosphere of peace and harmony; to organize and hold meetings of the party atall levels in the state (ie units wards, LGA, Area Council and State); to create where necessary sub-committees and in this wise may co-opt any persons into such sub-committees,provided that no such sub-committee shall be headed by any person who is not a member of the main committee”.
Other functions of SHRC are; Massive co-ordination and consolidation of members into the party in accordance with stipulated guidelines issued by National Interim Executive” and among other things, ensure effective implementation of the registration process, such that all persons desiring registration into the partyare afforded the right to be so registered in accordance with the directives from the National Interim Exco”.
The conferment on Okorocha the headship of the party structure in Imo is in conformity with earlier reports that the APC leadership was keen on allocating 50% slots of APC State Executives to State Governors in APC controlled states.
Ex Governor Udenwa had boasted that no one will hijack Imo APC vowing that such attempts will be resisted.

Someome said this>>>Atiku Poses no threat to President Goodluck Jonathan. He is more of a threat and danger to Buhari's ambition of becoming president in 2015.GEJ's support base is solid across the 36 states of the federation. Buhari and Atiku will slug it outand split their own votes......GEJ is gonna have a landslide come 2015.
PoliticsPdp Crisis: Atiku's 2015 Billboards And Posters Appear by Gregdcutie(op):
Few days after the
formation of a major faction of the Peoples
Democratic Party, New PDP, billboards and
multiple other advertorials have appeared bearing
Former VicetPresident,AtikutAbubakar’s 2015
Campaign information.
On Saturday, Atiku
led seven governors and
some members oftthe National Assembly,
delegates and aspirants to stage a walkout from
the just concluded Special Convention of the party.
They subsequently
formed a splinter PDP opposed to President
Goodluck Jonathan, in the
most explicit internal threat yet to his assumed bid to run for another
term in office come 2015.
Osun Defenders say, Atiku has dissociated himself
from what he describes as “the dramatic appearance of campaign billboards and posters being mounted in and around the Federal Capital Territory”.
He said such campaign
billboards and posters did not emanate from him
and that the whole thing
smirks of mischief aimed at dividing the ranks of the new Peoples
Democratic Party.
