This is not the usual way, but my guess is that they are trying to enforce it now.

I believe I will b having same because I contacted them today to know my passport is ready and asked them how does DHL collect the passport. The VFS told me striaght on that 2 ways are no longer accepted; however, my passport is not ready for collection. I will be notified when it's ready.

My biggest concern is if the transmission fees i paid to vfs is meant for the return of my passport, as it is now i got an email yesterday "our decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. Please refer to the 'Buy Services' page of the VAC website for further information on courier services offered by the VAC" Does it mean i need to pay a seprerate fee for the return? If anyone has recently received theirs passports, kindly assist with info on the new process....

Hello Everyone, I got the passport request from IRCC last week and submitted my Passport with UPS paying for a return courier. This morning, i got an sms with account details to pay N9,930 as passport transmission fee and forward the evidence to canadang@vfshelpline.com. I also got a call this morning to reiterate the sms i got earlier. I need to know if this is the process before i proceed with the payment.

Good day Gurus in the house, i have a question on medicals. I did mine March 10th last year for my SOWP application which was approved. I applied for an extension at the expiration in Sept 2022, and on March 1st, 2023 i passed medicals. Yesterday, i checked my profile on cic and discovered the message has reverted to "You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes". Is it necessary i book for another medicals now?

Apparently i received a letter of Original Passport Request with a link on how to proceed but the link isnt connecting.
Anyone with adequate information on how to proceed should pls come to my help...

Good day all, i am new here and have been reviewing the comments posted thus far which have been tremendously helpful. My wife is currently in canada studying and i am applying for sowp and will like to know if it is indeed absolutely required i pay with my card. I intend to use my wife credit card as my application for a USD card is delaying more than normal with my bank. Someone is advising me not to use a card with a name different from mine. I will appreciate some thoughts on this.

This should apply to people yet to complete 14days in Ghana before their trip to canada or is it a blanket refusal to lift anyone from the ban countries irrespective of if youve done the 14days in Ghana?

Some airlines are not lifting foreign nationals from the banned countries in Ghana like Ethiopian airline. lets beware!!

Please I want to know becauee I'm leaving to Ghana tomorrow. I'm planing to use Ethiopian airline from Accra after my 14days

I am sure this email was directed to passengers in Nigeria that are neither Canadian citizens nor PR holders, but you can contact the airline for more information. I intend to go through same route but dont know if booking a one way ticket which is cheaper from accra to toronto can get me denied entry at the border.

Did you book two tickets ie 1 (Lagos to Cancun) and 2 (Cancun to Canada)? Or one ticket with multi routes ie Lagos to Cancun to Canada?

Good day guys, i have a problem with my 2013 Hyundai Accent. It doesn't start, my rewire guy did all he could and later concluded its the brainbox. We've gotten more than 10 brainbox to replace it, its either it starts but doesnt enter gear or when it does select gears easily, the airconditioner doesnt come on. I'm looking for best advise on how to proceed with this problem as the car has been down in excess of a month. Heard if i take it to Hyundai Nigeria, it can be there for more than 6months as the brainbox will be ordered before it can be fixed. If you know any good repairer of vendor for the brainbox, i'll be more than glad to get the details.

Good day all, for someone travelling with kids (8yrs & 6yrs) for studies who are americans that were not included in the study permit applications, what are the requirements to enable them travel and live in Canada for the duration of studies? If this was your situation or know anyone that was in a similar situation, your advise will be highly appreciated.

Hello Gregoma,

Big congratulations on your spouse's approval. If she changes to HRM from outside Canada, she may not be allowed to board and will be required to reapply. If she is moving between schools to a different province, she is also required to notify IRCC. Failure to do so may impact the outcome of the PGWP.

On a norm, if your permit expires, you are to reapply but the process will not be as stringent as the previous. Reach out to IRCC via a webform and/or email to explain the situation and inform them of your academic calendar and the implication attached (not able to travel) due to the date appended to your passport. Request for an extension coupled with the updated LOA. This is not a professional advice but only a suggestion that could help your spouse's situation. Your reasons should be persuasive.

Congrats. Whatever you decide to do make sure your wife arrive in Ontario or another international airport close by (like Montreal for instance). I have heard of students who arrived in airports far away from their location and then got sent back and their visas cancelled. This was a long time ago and got the story from someone who arrived with them at the same time. So that part of staying with your sister is not impossible but don't risk her going straight to Saskatchewan from Nigeria.

I don't know much about the second question but am sure someone else with know and respond.

Thanks for the information, our plan is for her to arrive and Ontario get registered and sort out all her documentation with the school, at the commencement of classes she can then relocate to Saskatchewan. I await responses on the possible implications of a change of course before travelling and how it might affect her chances of getting the study permit at the border.

Hello everyone, my wife finally got her visa....whoop! whoop!!!
This begins our long route to naturalization....Thanks for all the updates and help received here, yáll made the process seamless.
So with the visa comes some challenges, my wife applied for a 1yr Business Development & Sales PGD program in Conestoga, Ontario which is only offered in September by the school.
The visa she received is from October this year to expire in July 2022, and as school has started with the first semester almost done we are a bit confused with how to proceed. Our thought is to pick a different course in Human resources in January 2022 so she can travel asap, but we are not sure if this will have an adverse effect during her interview with the border officers. If it isnt a big deal then we will apply for that admission immediately. The HR course has an advantage as it allows for online classes, our hope is with this she can be leaving with my sister in Regina, Saskatchewan instead of staying in Ontario, saving us a lot of cost. I need a guide on how to proceed, best if you have or know anyone that had a similar experience. Thanks in advance guys...

Good day house, I'm in a dilemma and need some information on how to proceed from people who had similar experiences or knows how these things work. My wife applied for studies last year and was refused, we deferred the admission to Sept this year and put in our application in June 2021. Two weeks ago, we got request for medicals which was done last week. The problem now is the school has commenced classes since September 7th, 2021 and we have till November 1st to defer but we are hoping the visa processing should be concluded before that date. Otherwise, we'll have to defer and choose a different course for May intake as her current course is only taken in Fall. Firstly, our concern is if the visa isnt out before the deadline for deferring in the school and we change courses, are we meant to inform the embassy of this change in course and commencement date? If we dont and we get the visa before may next year, at the point of entry, wouldnt we have a challenge with the border officer on why the embassy wasnt informed of these changes we made prior to the visa issuance?
Secondly, we have 2 kids (American citizens) not currently in their mums application, whats the process we need to engage to enable them travel with their mum when her visa is issued?

Good afternoon house, im new here with similar interest. My wife got admission into Cornestoga for a one year PGD program, we got denied last year and we reapplied this June. School has resumed since Sept 9th, still no visa or any updates yet. The agent (Maple academy) is advising that we defer till next year again but im unsettled by this as i think the agent isnt putting our best interest forward. If anyone has experienced this kindly advise on how best i should proceed.

I have a question for justwise, i have been traveling to the uk since 2004 while i was in uni visiting during my holidays. I last travelled in 2006 and my visa expired in 2007. I always leave with my uncle whenever i visit since he usually sends invitation for me to obtain my visa. Prior to my coming back to naija in 2007 i had a fight with him and he threatened to contact the BHC neva to allow me into the UK. How far he went with the threat i dont knw but since we have not been communicating since. Now i want to visit in the summer of this year as a tourist booking hotel accommodation which will not attract invitation from anybody. My question is on the visa application form there is a question requesting the details of any relatives in the Uk. If i give accurate infor dat my uncle can spoil my chances of visiting and also if i have been visiting on my uncles request wont it raise suspicion i decided to lodge in a hotel or source other accommodation option?
