How did he backstab you?
He supported you in 2011 and didn't support you in 2015 because GEJ was not supposed to run again in 2015......but he was wrongly advised and pushed to run again. See in 2015 it was only Ijaws, because he is their son and igbos, because his government favour them that wanted GEJ to continue. As at 2015 power has been In the south for 14 out of 16 years of democracy....the northerners were agitated and wanted GEJ out by all means. if power had stayed up north for 14 out of 16 years we will be agitated too.
The rest is history
And power never to get to the SE is marvelous isn't it??

You believe they would work now without subsidy and 8k payment?? The 8k palliative thrash is same waste as subsidy.

Buhari was robbing Peter to pay Paul but this Tinubu is robbing Peter and Paul to pay himself.

Someone who asked " Na statistics we go chop?" This is the result, the product of working and making decisions without recourse to statistics.

One bitter truth, any government administration in Nigeria that claims to give a certain amount to the poorest the poor is fraudulent. We aint got a data base to prove shiite or a system for transparency.

So what exactly was his problem with our purchasing power ?? And why would a sensible person deliberately slow than the. Economy (further)

And worst still widen the Tax net of the slowed down economy.. like it doesn't make any sense cos the slowed down economy translates to low productivity and hence widening "tax net" ( what ever that means) is just pure, undiluted and unblemished Evil.

Foreign AffairsRe: Putin Addresses Russians After Failed Wagner Group "Coup" by Greyworld: 8:24am On Jun 27, 2023
chronique:
Sure. Prigozhin would get his reward but definitely not now. They have a war to fight and Putin does not want to demoralize his troops by taking actions right now. He still needs to use him in dealing with the west. Notice how the news of prigozhin and wagnerites going to Belarus, has made Poland and the Baltic states restless? Lithuania is now talking about how NATO must strengthen the entire eastern border. Poland is now looking for how to strengthen border with Belarus. Germany is sending 4000 additional fighters to Lithuania. The plan by the Poles to enter Ukraine is now off the table as they need their troops to protect themselves from the ruthless wagnerites. Ukraine too will need to divert some of her reserves towards the border with Belarus which will need them pulling troops from the south down to Kiev. Wagner in Belarus is meant to pin down forces from Poland and preventing them from entering Ukraine as they now have a problem they never had initially. When the war is over, prigozhin would answer for his rebellion.
And you think you know this much and Prigozhin doesn't have a clue about what is gonna happen when the war is over??

I don’t know why Igbos take everything emotionally. Orji Kalu didn’t support Tinubu right from the primaries to the main election. Do you expect Tinubu to support him for Senate Presidency? On the other hand, Akpabio stepped down for him and also worked for his victory in his state. Do you expect him to support the person who didn’t work for him and leave the person that worked for him? Politics is a game of reality there’s no time to entertain emotions here, dividends of victory are shared according to your contribution to the success. You can’t work for gtb and expect Zenith to pay you salary. E dey wrong naa…
Truth is even Abians aint feeling bad that Orji Kalu didn't get the senate presidency. I wonder how these story built up in nairaland

If he stays at PDP he might lose the state eventually but nothing safe for federal might can make him remain relevant.

Dude had all it takes to be a grand in PDP and a regional power and more but allowed selfish interest and vendetta kill it.

Average engineer earns less than $5000 per year in Nigeria ....that's my point Nigeria is not yet economically viable for skyscrapers yet

What we need now is provide access to create for our local business to become multinational corporations ...then they would need skyscrapers offices and would be able to afford n build one
Going by this mind set Nigeria will never get any new thing done. Perhaps we should just revert to living in mud houses till multinational corporations come.

If people considered this thing the way yu are sayin it means by now we won't even have a 3storey building o.

Truth is every where is nowhere till people make it somewhere.

Banana island was nowhere till elites moved there.
Nigeria was just southern n northern protectorate til the British made it Nigeria.

If cities don't grow it remains no where. Nigeria cities are crawling with development with special reference to the East

There is electricity in most part of Lagos and in Akwaibom but it hasn't worked.

No one who can afford 1.2 million and live in such crowded place in Nigeria.

Crowd to a Nigerian is poverty
Bros at this point I wont agree with you. I visited a friend on the island and learnt how much the dude pays on rentals and I laughed. High rises are not single rooms they have flats(2 rooms 3rooms, laundry and all) it ain't in any way crowded in the true sense of

Moreovee those paying 800k and stuff ain't living alone in their compound.

Our problem here is unnecessary social strategication.

High rise of for the rich and for companies huh Says who??

Eko city is a business hub. Sky scrapers are occupied by multinational corporations because it's costly to maintain.

Akwaibom has a sky scraper but till date it hasn't been occupied. If care is not taking, in the next ten years it will rot.

There are many giant buildings in Lagos that were never completed, some completed without occupants.

Tinubu tower was serviced by airduct. After awhile, he had to cancel the agreement because he couldn't maintained them.

Do you know how rich Tinubu is?

Do you know what airduct do?
Now you see where the problem is?? Certain things are to be in place like I said earlier, electricity is one. If there is stable electricity people will move into those buildings that is a fact and it would be cheaper than paying 1.2mil for a Bed sitter.

If you know know the population that lives in those high rise in the middle east yu ll understand my point.
Sky scrapper isn't for show off.

UAE has money ...Infact they have more money in one year than Enugu has had since it's creation

Let me tell you a story , a very rich man , buys his kids cars when they are 18, worth $800k ...gives the houses , and hold watches , insits they can it fly private jets

A Nigerian civil servant staff family wants he same thing the rich man is doing for his family ... should he save invest grow richer since investment would bring more revenue , or use his salary to buy them what he can ? Or borrow money to give them what they want

Answer me please
You think the high rise is just a show off thing??

Bros forget this topic, it above your pay grade. When people discus futuristic project just sit if you don't believe in the dream.

When UAE see money na?? Pple that were so poor that the British refuse to colonize them. It was the mercy of the Indians that kept them before the discovered oil.

They planned ahead. Now dubai has almost depleted their oil reserve it tourism and real estate and industry now.
Read, travel and know dont just argue.

If yu see the picture of dubai in 1991 you will never agree in 2020 it ll be one of the most visit city in world.

That guy is an evil person. UAE wasn't rich in 1980 nor had a the hope of having the world tallest building at that time.
The day I visited the Burj and saw the people trooping there payin 120aed equivalent to 60k naira today was when I confirmed foresight is the way.

So only Lagos should have sky scrappers in Nigeria or what? Or maybe Nigerians dont deserve to live in high rise.

I hope that human lives in a mud house.

So low cost building is the skyscrapers ? Is there a housing crisis in the east ? South east almost has saturated housing market , Houdini is one of the least problem in Igbo land

Expect you want to leave in independence layout ,cent city, and few others 250k to 500k can get you standard 2 bedroom flat depending on location

East has no housing issue at all .
That is the problem of the black man.
Lemme tell you a story. I was in Ras Al Khaima UAE for a job and we drove past newly built housing units. Theses were unoccupied and If yu know UAE well yu know RAK is not well populated like Dubai or sharjah, yet they have built these houses for the future generation.

So if yu want house scarcity to hit the east like Lagos before the start making plans I think you should stop it.

Now houses are so cost in Lagos cos land were wasted building duplexes and bungalows.

If sky scrappers are not "necessary" besides its beauty then why Eko city abi Atlantic?

Tell us what is he economic benefits of cocoa houa in Ibadan

How much does it generate for the states

Government should build skyscrapers ? For what ?
Did they tell you it's government that build skyscrapers?? Build skyscrapers so that they would be used for what exactly ?

Bia are you sure you are Igbo ? Because this is a socialist mentality found only in South West n north
Have you heard of low cost building? When some one says government should, it could be a PPP a little government presence gives a project credibility.

For instance if the estate has a percentage of government presence and instead of building duplexes, sky scrappers maybe not as tall as the burj Khalifa but something modern, people will invest and it would be a reality and not long after ward you ll see more people invest in it.

The only reason Dubai could accommodate the influx of people daily is because of high rise building, even at that accommodation is expensive Still.

The only problem I see for the success of the project is electricity to run lift and water supply because people can't climb 25 storey by stairs or lack water at that height.
