Unlimited22:Free Borges, he's the least of our problems. Make a case for the defense and midfield. |
donjazet:Oga wetin you dey cap sef? Our midfield wasn't overrun against any team not even City. |
Ibime:He even looks impressed. Every week na we go dey suffer high BP. |
Should Spurs clinch victory today, they will leapfrog Sheffield United into the 7th spot. There's no way Jose would not want to play European football next season, so count on a victory tonight. If you're punter, here's what the bookmakers are saying. Bet Tip: Tottenham to win both halves @ 7/2 with bet365 – odds correct at time of writing. |
Kai Havertz don tender transfer request. |
BlueAngel444:Oga, prior to yesterday's game, I opined that Lampard has lost faith in Jorginhos abilities, instead of you to reason the talk, you begin dey quote and interrogate me like a SARS officer. Hours later, I was vindicated, as young Gilmour got the nod to start ahead of the fit Italian, a scenario that have been playing out since the league restarted. I searched for your mention to ask if you don see lineup, but I no see the mention again. Na just this morning I cool down check, come see say you don even wipe your interrogations, leaving just a dot - a helpless dot that looks like an orphan. So I wan ask, do you now believe that Lampard no dey see Jorginho? Or should I allow you to read the morning gospel of Bro Neville for more sanctification?

Meanwhile, Jorginho has to do nothing different [to earn selection]. He trains well, he is good for the group on and off the pitch, he is vice-captain of the club. “It is purely my choice at the moment with what I see and the games in front of me and how I like the make-up of the midfield to be. Sometimes it can be affected by the other players that are in that midfield where I think we need more defensive attributes in the game. He doesn’t need to do anything, it is purely my choice. When you have your manager saying you don't have to do anything to earn selection, that he's benching you cos he wants to bench you, oga just jeje begin phone your agent to work out a transfer. From the emboldened words above, Lampard seems to have lost faith in Jorginhos abilities. Even small Gilmour get mouth for that midfield ahead of Jorg. |
It looks like Tomori will be heading to Westham on loan, as bait to land Declan Rice. I don't know how much of sense this deal makes honestly. Using an average Joe to land an average Joe. |
Nezzjnr:E be like this talk I dey have with you don enter child's play?
|
handelex:Doesn't train again doesn't mean haven't trained together before. Like I earlier asserted, that boy knows very well that he won't blossom in life having perennial losers like Jones around him. That boy was still being taken through middle school curriculum when you scummies last won the EPL title. Seven years after, you still want to sign him to that eternal condemnation? No way. #AngelGomesCareerMatters
|
Nezzjnr:I believe Gomes feels the competition at United is unhealthy, hence he turned down Ole's £25,000 wage bribe. You can't be good and still be sharing same training pitch with Phil Jones and Lingard. |
What's so special about this scummy's Angel Gomes we're after? The lad became a free agent today and we're leading the race to snap him up. |
Zidane or Xavi? Give reasons to back your view up. Two guys wan set cash over who was better. Ibime, Raumdeuter etc. |
Please football is back, you all should chime out of this religious talks. There's a section for it. It's getting boring already. |
Ibime:That guy don go free after few years be that. |
See wetin small boy dey hold for hand, I still dey find Nokia torch wey I go buy to just put Sim card. This life no balance.
|
Ibime:No be for FBI hands him dey again? |
Speculation is rife that we're considering lodging a bid for David Alaba. The ninja has 12 months left on his current deal with the Bayern, but there has been a few issues with his contract talks and speculation has risen over the past few months that he is seeking a way out of the club after ten years of service with Bayern. It would be nice if we can get to tempt the Bavarians with a £40m bid. Davies transition to left-back worked out perfectly fine, make them manage that guy. |
Chelsea just handed Marco van Ginkel a new one-year contract to take his stay at Stamford Bridge to EIGHT seasons - despite playing just 97 first-team minutes.
|
nihilistjnr:Is that ninja a masochist? Dude keeps setting himself up to be gang raped. |
BlueAngel444:I'll roll my sleeves and ask. . .
|
Blue is the color. Congratulations Liverpool. Who pisses two Manchester brothers off in one night? Chelsea! Una dads! |
Segedinho:Guy you get eyes. |
Ibime:Lamentations poignantly expresses manyoo fans overwhelming sense of loss that accompanied the destruction of Citeh. My brother you're a believer indeed. |
James should be coming on for Willian. |
And one idiot had the effrontery to go hire canopies. Money wey you suppose take chop for one week. God no go shame us. |
Their papa ![]() |
Ibime:Same thing I was telling the guy beside me. Delay Pulisic and that goal wouldn't have been scored. |
Captain America! |
I just bumped into this article that critically looks into four different statistics to compare the trio of Zouma, Christensen and Fikayo Tomori. There's no doubt that Frankie is unsure about his best centre back partnership. On a personal note, I believe that have been our biggest undoing this season. Rudiger has undoubtedly been the most consistent performer at the heart of defense for us, but who gets to pair with him, remains the unanswered question. So here is what I got, read through and draw your conclusions. Aerial Ability There is one clear winner here: Kurt Zouma. The Frenchman has won 68.87% of his aerial duels this season, which is even marginally above Rudiger (68.49%). In comparison, Christensen is decidedly worse, winning 57% of his aerial challenges against opponents, while Tomori struggles in the air (50.56%). Defensive Duels Being in more one-on-one battles with opponents doesn’t necessarily mean you are a better defender. Sometimes it is wiser to not engage with opponents and keep your defensive line. However, if we look at the percentage won by each defender we can see who copes better with dangerous situations. In this area, Tomori is the winner with 74.17% with Christensen (72.07%) and Zouma (66.03%) trailing. Tomori’s pace and strength certainly help him on this metric. Successful Defensive Actions This measures how proactive a defender is, getting involved with play and making decisions to win the ball or clearing dangerous attacks. Again, it must be emphasised that coming out on top here doesn’t necessarily make you a better player, although it does show you who is more likely to take action on the pitch. In this area, Tomori is the winner with 9.94 defensive actions per game, with Zouma on 8.58 and Christensen on 7.82. In fact, Rudiger trails the other three for defensive actions, making 7.66 per 90. Fouls The metric is an interesting one. There are some instances where making fouls are necessary such as stopping a counter-attack or breaking up play in general, but in most examples, a foul is simply a poor piece of defensive play. Here we notice a huge difference in averages. Zouma commits 1.07 fouls per 90, while Tomori, at the other end, averages just 0.54. Over the course of a 38 game season that would see Zouma committing around 40 offences to Tomori’s 20. Christensen (0.75) is between the two of them. |
