raumdeuter:Conte isn't the man in the discourse, Pep is. So stop dodging the facts before you just to dwell on Conte's one season mishap. No manager spends like Pep and that's the fact man. If you have better rebuttal to throw in, I'm here, if you don't, I may need to retire to my bed. |
raumdeuter:You have no excuses to make for Pep, your man is a profligate motherfucker. As at last year, Jose was actually leading the list of highest spending managers in history with £1.40bn, however, that outlay was spread across 97 players with SEVEN different clubs. Carlo who's on the second spot has a total spend of £1.11bn spread across 85 players with EIGHT different clubs. The man on the third spot is your niccur Pep. He has managed just THREE teams but somehow has been swift enough to hit the £1billion-mark, with the outlay spread across just 52 players. What this means is that by the time this man gets to Jose's or Carlo's managerial level, he must have spent close to £2-3bn on players. Why still building excuses for a man who is clearly on a mission to keep buying success throughout his career? |
Omooba77:Goya abi na groundnut oil? Abegi make we see road ojare. |
raumdeuter:Conte isn't even on the list of top 10 highest spending managers in history, so what exactly is your point? |
Ibime:Sure will do. |
Sulele04:If your claims are right, then it's important to note that Dean Smith is seeing £200m for the first time in his managerial career this season and that Keoman isn't on the list of 10 highest-spending managers in history, same goes with Conte whom Raumdeuter is mentioning up and down. These guys aren't heavy spenders and one season of being handed huge transfer war chests doesn't make them one. The spotlight is on "consistency with heavy expenditures", so your analogies up there and Dayos dragging of Conte makes no sense. |
Racoon:Osibanjo be like barber's chair, anywhere they spin him to, there he goes. |
Ibime:Last time I asked Muky of those codes she just dey take me play. |
Ibime:IB how can I find my way back to Nairaland FPL? I wish to call off my sabbatical and be part of next season's run. |
This man puts the I in incompetent. He had no strategic plan to wipe out the BH sect yet he was running his mouth just to score votes. A leader makes no excuses. In a sane country, he should have resigned for failing to deliver the tons of promises he made millions of Nigerians. But No, this is Africa where geriatric politicians prefer dying in power. Failed leadership! |
EFCC: Boys you don't need to panic, we are only here to cash out. |
Righteousness89:Amuse me. You want to blame dark forces for Kepa's gaffes? |
Congratulations to Chelsea legend Eddie Newton on his Turkish Cup triumph with Trabzonspor. This is unlike a certain grotty scum club up North whose legends are running away from coaching and rushing back to the studios. |
macjireh:I can't trust our team with a 4-3-3 honestly. If we're talking about a midfield three of Essien, Ballack and Lampard, then I say bring 'em on. I feel we somehow lack grit of hard-hitting midfield enforcers for a 4-3-3 system. Bar Kante, there's a low level of steel in that midfield. Forget say Kepa and defensive frailties have been letting us down, lack of midfielders who will be harrying and generally getting physical with the opponents, has contributed immensely to the trailer load of goals we've conceded. This is one of the reasons I favour the 3-4-3 over it, atleast with the crop of players at Lampard's disposal. |
Ibime:Actually the 3-4-3 that didn't work against Arsenal was more of an experimental design. Emerson and Azpilicueta who were both playing as wingbacks have no business with those positions, not to mention that we had an experimental back three of Zouma, Rudiger and Tomori on the field of play. None of James, Alonso, Giroud and Pulisic who have all been playing integral roles in our current 3-4-3 system made it to Emirates that day. Conversely, I don't think Arteta would want to roll his team out in the same 4-3-3 formation that hasn't beaten us this season. I strongly believe he will love to stick to the 3-4-3 that beat City in the semis. Playing in a deep block, they were improved hugely in terms of playing in tight spaces and under pressure. Arteta understands the limitations of these Arsenal players, and the limitation of training time, so he'll just stick to what worked against City. The good news however is that, we can match their 3-4-3.
|
BlueAngel444:We have been showing couple of lapses in a 4-3-3 setup lately, so I'll ditch this and stick to the effective 3-4-3. Caballero - James, Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Zouma, Alonso, Kante, Kovacic, Pulisic, Mount, Giroud. Now that's a lineup that can lift a trophy. |
Skimpledawg:Sure. They go through on away goal difference. |
Ibime:Archived.
|
BlueAngel444:Omo eh, this lady you've improved these days o. See as you take Uncle Dayo dey mop floor. Dayo is quoting £40m from a news story, you kuku dey show am the real figure from a verified source. That's way to go in an argument of this sort. Please tell, are you married? |
Marina na bad b**ch sha. I heard she's asking some of her German player consultants' about information on Rudi Voller and Fernando Carro, the two men who will be at the forefront of negotiations for Havertz. This is her game, once she learns your weakness, she now negotiates from a position of strength. Little wonder Hazard who had a year left on his contract, and who had already publicly stated he's leaving could still get sold for £130m. Little wonder PSG got scammed £50m for Luiz. Let's pray Rudi Voller and Carro both have undying yearnings for threes0me, that's a weakness that I'm sure will intrigue our madam, one that will eventually fetch us our man Havertz. |
Report from Spain: https://cadenaser.com/emisora/2020/07/29/sercat/1596025393_061492.html?ssm=tw In case you don't have a translator, dem talk say we don make an undisclosed offer for Ter Stegen, as Bayern dem too dey seriously interested. |
BlueAngel444: sylvalord:There's this debate that a left-footed centre back has an advantage facing up against a right-footed striker. I know it's not common to have 2 left footed centre backs. However, there's no reason for it to not work as far as I can see, in fact it may have short term advantages if the opposition don’t know how to “play” them. |
One was even wishing Stones on Arsenal. Toffees fans are mad ![]()
|
Skimpledawg:You need not say it, here are Everton fans reacting to the report linking them with a reunion with Stones ![]()
|
Skimpledawg:Amid the whole inferences and speculations, don't be surprised if we end up with John Stones. Pep has got his eye set on a Laporte and Ake partnership. |
BlueMann:Another one. I read somewhere that Barcelona have asked players to take pay cuts in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, and Ter Stegen is believed to be slightly frustrated by that. We may just pounce on the opportunity with a better proposal. I read Bayern are in the run too. At this rate, I'll have any good goalie that has long arms and ball playing ability. He can't be worse than Kepa. Even if he's Afelokia of Enyimba. Kepa doesn't even command his backline like this guy. #KepaOUT

Ibime:I miss those trips to Craven Cottage. God! I don't have a memory of us losing there in my head. Always a waiting 3pts. |
airmark:Not just Laxalt, Ricardo Rodriguez is back from his loan spell at PSV. I don't know who is in charge of Milan, but that's some serious collection he's got there. Calabria, Gabbia and Hernandez are few of the names running the show at their backline. These are young, really good defenders I must say. |
Donjazet I just bumped into your diary. Sorry about the loss of your sister and your nephews. Stay strong man. |
popizaino:I didn't actually. Not after watching scummies trash us 4nil. |
