eph12:I'm sure you know how fraction notations work. Three out of twenty-one is as good as no one giving him a chance. Don't take English too serious nwanne. |
A list of BBC pundits’ top 4 predictions at the start of the season. Out of 21 pundits, only 3 predicted Chelsea would make the top four. 13 predicted Arsenal would. 18 predicted Spurs would. No one actually gave Lampard a chance.

Rice as a DM or a CB at Chelsea? |
If selected, Mason Mount will become the first Chelsea Academy product to make his first team debut and complete 50 appearances in the same season. This boy is on some legendary walk. |
OJURONGBE1:Oh please, Spurs team of 2019 isn't as average as the present Leicester side. Spurs were brimming with character and personalities. Leicester's last champions league run was largely hinged on luck. They were gifted the easiest group opponents; Brugge, Copenhagen etc. Overcame an average Sevilla in the round of 16, before being bundled out by ATM. They haven't strengthened since then, instead they lost the team's only talisman Mahrez to City. Who are the players they're going to challenge Europe's powerhouses with? Manyoo and Chelsea have the funds to strengthen their teams thereby enhancing their chances of advancing in the UCL, that's something you can't say about Leicester. |
Ibime:I don't know what Leicester are doing on that top four. You can't trust them to rep England well in Europe next season yet they're angling to make an appearance. This is what UEFA Champions League coefficient points system looks like: First qualifying round elimination – 0.5 points Second qualifying round elimination – 1 point Group stage bonus participation – 4 points All wins from group stage onwards – 2 points All draws from group stage onwards – 1 point Round of 16 bonus participation – 4 points . . .with additional points for teams that reach the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals or final. We would have good representation if the table was to finish this way: UCL Liverpool Citeh Chelsea Manyoo Europa Wolves Spuds. These teams will rake in good UEFA coefficient points. Would produce two semi-finalists in either competitions. Leicester no just wan rest. |
Trouble go dey sleep, yanga go wake am. Wetin dey worry that our media team sef? Why post Gerrard's infamous slip on social media a night to a decisive game against a very strong Liverpool's side? Make dem no change am for us o. |

nihilistjnr: BlueMann:Someone said Havertz signing looks like an odd tactical fit unless Lampard will find a way to fit in the pieces, and I really agree with him. In Leverkusen's 3-4-2-1 system, Havertz features as the right forward. He starts on the inside right channel, then cuts inside onto his lethal left foot and have an effect on the game, almost exact job we signed Ziyech to do. So who drops for the other? His numbers doesn't suggest he'll be a fit for the CM position - 17 goals and three assists definitely looks like a figure that belongs to someone who prefers spending more time on the final third and the opposition's box. When not playing as a right forward, he's often deployed as a false nine. So clearly, he's far more of an attacker than a midfielder. So where do we place him? Just unless Lampard is looking to create a dream team, where Havertz gets pushed up field to partner Timo Werner, that's the only way this signing makes sense. However, that'll still impede the development of Mount, as we'll need two natural CMs to always start if we must feature our fantastic four. Fig 1: Kante Kovacic Ziyech Havertz Werner Pulisic |

Well, when I saw that 3-4-3, I was confident we were going to advance. It was one of the few ways to address our defensive frailties while also looking deadly on the attacking third. The switch certainly had positive effects on the team in all phases of the game. From a tactical perspective we had an edge over those summies, with a particularly strong balance between stability and creativity. Up next: Liverpool. Let's make that count. KTBFFH. |
Isn't it funny how manyoo's best player of the season was kept at bay through out the game? I'm talking about VAR ![]() |

We're winning this. Everything is spot on. |
BlueMann:Replace Mount with Pulisic and you have exactly my lineup for today's tie. I guess starting Mount has a lot to do with the pressing Lamps will need on the third half. Maguire and Lindelof aren't too good with the ball on their feet. This is something we can capitalize on. |
Ibime:They're sitted right there. |
donstan18:Looks like Kante has been ruled out of the game. Gilmour is already out of the season. So that leaves us with the midfield pair of Kovacic and Jorginho. I'll go with Jorginho ahead of Barkley or Mount in a 3-4-3 setup cos I consider the latter duo runners and I don't need that in my 3-4-3. With Jorginho and Kovacic, we'll be having a structure that can create basic connections from the wing back to the centre. |
Due to the obvious vulnerabilities in our backline, I'll opt for a 3-4-3 against manyoo. Alonso can't be trusted in a back four, so I'll have him deployed in his favoured left wingback, Reece on the right, Azpi, Rudiger and Zouma completing the defensive setup. Against the ball, we will operate in a 5-4-1 shape with the wing-backs acting alongside the 3 defenders to make a back 5. With a 5-man defensive line, our defense can cover more width on the field. This will ensure Alonso and James gets to defend wider and move to defend manyoo wingers quicker, with this we can be able to prevent the likes of Greenwood, Rashford and Martial from gaining a dynamic advantage for take-ons and can force them to even go backwards. Azpilicueta - Rudiger - Zouma James - Jorginho - Kovacic - Alonso Willian - Giroud - Pulisic. Against The Ball: James - Azpilicueta - Rudiger - Zouma - Alonso Willian - Jorginho - Kovacic - Pulisic Giroud Your thoughts. |
