I was recently offered a Global Challenges PhD scholarship in Civil Engineering at University of Birmingham (full tuition fee waved, monthly maintenance grant + bench allowance provided). However no mention of accommodation in the offer.

Offer was accepted yesterday; registration ends 31 July while programme commences September this year (barely 2 months from now).

What are my chances of beating this deadline (VISA, documentation, etc)? Can above info. be scrutinized please, I sincerely have no travel experience whatsoever.

As for the accommodation, it has been included in your maintenance stipend. You can apply for your visa by attaching the scholarship letter with the visa application. There is no need for waiting 28 days anymore. I would advice you do your TB test this week and apply for the visa immediately you get the result. Thereafter, if you get the visa, buy your air ticket, off you go abroad.

These guys are not badoo men....one of them is my church member and and authoritatively confirm he was born again. He was with his mechanic trying to tow his car at night to avoid traffic. So sad. The best way of choosing university is for one to look for area of specialization. There are only five universities that offer subsea engineering, such as: Strathclyde, Aberdeen, Robert Gordon, Cranfield and Newcastle. It's from these universities anyone who wants to study this course can choose from. It is best to understand the strength and specialization of these universities rather going to school that doesn't offer my choice.

yeah....but for those like me coming from Ayobo/ipaja....it would be a waste of t.fair going to iyana ipaja to board a bus first...so its an alternate route....

you are right, however, if you can get yaba from your axis, it would prevent entrying two buses and T-fare.

Are you blaming them? Those political officers need to wake up to reality or no more elections. I can't imagine what I have enjoyed while on studies, and one politician will continue eating taxpayer's money, nothing will happened.

if u didn't manage to get a yaba bus, take a bus to oshodi under bridge, use the pedestrian bridge to the otherwise and either take keke or a bike (they usually park near the illupeju government school) to town planning, then trek forward, a land mark in town planning is the GT bank on the right and the brt bustop car shed which has "Anthony bustop" written on it.

If you didn't get oshodi bus or yaba bus..then request for a taxi using Uber or Taxify....#lol

He wouldnt need get to Oshodi from iyana ipaja, bro. He surely will see yaba from iyana ipaja. That's the easiest route and little walk.

From Iyana-ipaja enter bus going to yaba, tell the conductor you will stop at Anthony bus stop, and walk some steps forward or stop at obanikoro bus stop, and walk some steps backward. The Jkk is located BTW these bus stops. I prefer Anthony bus stop, though.

Not true sir. NDDC has stopped using Cinfores since 2015. Marg Education Consultants organize the scholarship now.

what's your discipline?

NDDC exam is 50 questions and it is based on the course you applied for. Though the courses are grouped. For instance all engineering candidates write one exam.

Actually, I applied for PhD in flow assurance and pipeline engineering. Thanks for your clarification.
