The major media houses need to create the forum for dialogues on important issues of the economy, security etc.
Left to the aspirants, it will be irrelevant mudslinging around non-issues thereby avoiding the very important discussions around what they are bringing to the table.
Take for instance what the BBC did for Sunak and Liz on Monday night, various issues of national British national importance were tabled before the two of them for how they plan to tackle the problems. That said, most of you media guys and houses have not been able to divorce yourselves from partisan politics thereby helping to stoke the flames around nonsensical issues.
Just take a look at dailies headlines and listen to some news broadcast to understand what I am saying

LAWMA has deliberately left the refuse to accumulate inane areas of Lagos State due to their lack of an effective waste collection and management plan. A lot of the APC party members given franchises are more preoccupied with slamming residences with exorbitant bills without any prior work. Most of them do not have efficient and working dumpster trucks and you see their broken down trucks dotting all the street corners in the state. LAWMA is only clearing the refuse on the main highways, so much is left uncollected in the inner streets and soo people will push them to the main expressways and roads again

The issue deserves appropriate responses addressing the traffic violation by the deceased son on one hand as well as the lack of empathy on the path of the LASTMA officers. As someone already pointed out in one comment above, LASTMA officers should be stopped from impounding vehicles and violators ticketed and plate numbers flagged just like it's now being adopted by VIO for road worthiness. Failure to promptly comply should attract penalties of additional fines on top of the original stipulated fine for the misdemeanor. Lagos State should stop treating traffic violation like felonious offence

Kudos at Peter Obi if this is true, it shows a statesmanship that is no longer common in our political spheres. BAT started the rubbish (pensions and benefits for ex-governors) copied by other states in Nigeria. Soon, more than 50% of some state allocation will be used to pay their ex-state governors' allowanxes out of office to the detriment of workers salaries and infrastructural development
