chokl8candie: thanks for the info gunpoint
I just sent through the list and most of the occupations are either engineering or nursing related which I don't qualify because I have a BSc Degree in business admin. but there were project management and social worker jobs.
I hope with a Masters in project management or social work finding work will be easier Go with social work. Do not, i repeat, do not do a masters in project management. You will not get PR. And you will not get a job. Nothing is truly certain in life but at least with an msc social work you will get your PR |

drealdammy: I think they should be able to get a PR,, if Your course of the study should be on the CRICOS list of courses.... Hahahaha... Please do not wrongly give advise people will regret here. You need to study courses on the SOL not CRICOS. Another bit of advise, even on the SOL, try not to study courses that have vetassess as the assessment body. You will require 1year work experience to pass vetassess and could very quickly find yourself in a "the chicken and the egg" situation. You will find it hard to find a job who require you to have pr and pr requires you to find a job and work for 1yr |

jolanrewaju: Why are pple confusing pple who want to go n study mph dat they don't av chances of getting a pr with that. However, most mph courses come with a specialisation which the person can focus on. For example mph in health promotion n community development, mph in epidemiology, mph in global nutrition n active learning? From some of dis specialization u will get to know if is on sol list. For health promotion officer? Nutritionist n primary health organization officer all fall under public health. All u need to do is pick a specialization on the sol list. I hope this meet una well. MPH IS LIKE A TREE WITH MANY BRANCHES.. Choose wisely Hmmm.. While you might be right, why not do the course directly listed on the SOL? Personally, i would also advise anyone not to study MPH. But its not my field and maybe you are correct |

Shadowy: are there any scholarships in Australia that my sister would be eligible for? One covering more than half of the tuition fees. Thanks Unfortunately no. Not initially anyways. How ever, there are unis that reduce the tuition you have to pay if you attain certin grades. Check out Queensland University of Technology and University of Queensland. Don't know if they offer veterinary medicine tho. By the way, Murdoch University is quite good and Perth is a beautiful city |

Hey OP. I read some earlier poster say something about relocation overseas, my sister i will not lie to you, if your husband is under 40, or you sef, pack your stuvs and run. And i mean legal migration oh, not go to Italy or some crapshit. A bsc Mech/Prod engineering is supposed to be a big deal! i know cos thats exactly what i studied too, but alas it was a useless piece of paper in Nigeria, i couldn't find a job as an engineer so i became a banker. Anyway, sister dont look at it that you never see money chop, pesin dey tell you to buy icecream, if you don't try to leave, imagine what the future will be like when the time of your kids come in that country? I am sorry to ramble so much and you can do as you please with my advice, but if you think the suggestion makes sense, my sister look at New Zealand and Australian immigration in that order and try for it with all you have. Today's pain na tomorrow's enjoyment oh. God bless |
