@Gunpoint, this is my point. The Bishop is 100% right

Bishop Chukwuma who faulted the order of government for churches and places of worship not to open, said it was unfortunate and wrong to categorise church and worship centres with drinking palours, night clubs, markets and companies.

The cleric said he would not shut the churches because he is not the owner, as the church belongs to Jesus Christ, adding that if people were stopped from “running to their God in worship in a time like now the whole world was confusion, where would they run to for safety, help and deliverance?”

If you're a Christian, which I suspect you are, have you forgotten this verse " You will trample on Snakes and Scorpions and overcome all the powers of the enemy, nothing shall harm you"

When I posted this, my church was still organizing services but now everything has been cancelled in line with the government directives, which I personally think is disappointing. In Tanzania, the President said he will not close any Church, we aren't hearing of deaths there due to Covid 19, they are doing just fine despite a few confirmed cases, no crisis yet. That could be us too, doing just fine despite freedom to worship where we chose.

No surprises at your response. I suppose I set myself up for you to quote the bible verse you went with in your response.
Christianity≠Ignorance
Sometimes I am heartbroken at the snafu religious dogma creates in the life of Africans.

Look, you don't have to isolate. Maybe this is the time to start your own rebel for Christ Church (RFCC) .

God help us

Brainwashed atheist, when will atheist produce a cure for the virus? all you do is make yourself nuisance on earth
You started off like a balanced individual, maybe a turn the other cheek type Christian even, but very quickly showed yourself to be same level as the people who you assume are criticising you.
And what did they say wrong to trigger you?
That let's say there is a mass of say real snakes in your church building, say 10,000 snakes, some you can see slithering around, some hiding doing snake stuff, that maybe it might be a good idea to skip service till a snake catcher or the fumigators are done?
But NO. Not you, not a good Christian like you.
You would rather step on the snakes in faith.
This virus is like my parable of snakes, only you can't see them.
No one is doubting your religiousity. Even though your quick desent to name calling leave it open to reasonable doubt.
No one is using this Covid to curb religious freedom SPECIFICALLY. All freedoms are being curbed. Your freedom to enter a bus, your freedom to go to the market and yes, your freedom to go to church.
NOTE: your freedom of worship isn't affected. Worship alone. At home. With your family. How hard is that?

Brodapounds:
Hello dear nairalanders.

Please I'm going through a state of mental confusion.

Currently i have approximately 20 million and 300 thousand naira in my bank account.

I have two thoughts.

1) I am 25 years old but I'm not a university graduate, i only have ND (National deploma) from a polytechnic In Edo state, Auchi precisely.

I would have become a graduate years ago but after my "ND" years ago, i refused to go back to school and i decided to hustle for money.

Most of my classmates in school back then are all graduates but all the same, looking at my bank account now, i have no regrets.

So this is what i plan on doing.

1) Can i further my Education In any university in the United States with the money and plan on staying back after my degree, for the fact that I'm 25.
Will that be advisable?

2) should i stay back in Nigeria and use part of the money to build a house In my hometown in Benin and use the rest for business?

3) Is there a chance of going to USA and start all over again, look for job.
Will the money be enough to rent a house, foot some bills untill i see a job in the USA.

Note i choose USA only because it's my dream country, I'm not scared of the traveling ban because I'm 100% confident that it will be taken away few months from now.

Please i won't be replying any mention or questions.

All i want is to take note of good advice.

I already know a reliable traveling agent.

Please other suggestions are welcomed apart from mine.

Please help
Kid. Do not go to the US. Do Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
Repeat.
Do not go to the US
Also.
Definitely leave.
Leave Nigeria

Dear Nairalanders..this is my first thread and it stems from misery

I've been in this relationship going to two(2) years now and we are deeply in love and planning to get married this year and my introduction is coming up soon but I'm having this serious issue I need help to deal with...

We all know there's no relationship without its hurdles, frictions and tensions but each time this happens my man keeps malice which can run from days into weeks, anytime we quarrel and I try talking to him later probably to apologise he'll feign more anger and i'll leave him and stay miserable till whenever he decides to end the malice he'll come kneeling or asking his relatives or friends to call and apologise on his behalf..

i'll take this decision not to talk to him again but when once I open my door and see him kneeling I go all weak and accept his apologies and it won't take up to a week or two again something will happen and he'll start ignoring me again...

Please help and advice a miserable fellow nairalander on how to deal with this situation now that it's still early,we've not spoken since Friday and it could be worse after marriage

Did you?
Marry him?

One of the biggest surprises of CES 2020 was Sony unveiling an electric concept car in a mic drop power move.

Before you get too excited, the Vision-S will never go into production. And yet, Sony still took concept to the next level by making it a fully funtional vehicle. And the amount of tech injected puts Tesla to shame.

See the remarkable automobile here
