That is an awesome piece of football history for Bendel Insurance! Amas Obasogie was an absolute wall in that penalty shootout against Aso Chlef, too.

Most local league players in Nigeria shine in one season and the next season they are off to Ethiopia or even Sudan and Tanzania as they get a better pay over there

The major problem of Nigerian local league is funding and it boils down to the economy of Nigeria presently as almost all sectors are currently struggling to survive.
