We had a big powerful food processor at home then which could grind and blend almost anything (big blender with a detachable parts and blade which had a handle). I was about 10 years old or So and one day when my mom was away with just me and my junior brother at home. I told him I could hold the blade and prevent it from turning when turned on. He said I couldn't and it turned into a challenge. I held the blade handle and told him to turn the blender on. He foolishly obliged me and the result were 3 chopped fingers swirling inside the blender before my eyes with blood pumping out of my fingers. I screamed and my brother quickly turned off and ran away in horror when he saw the results of our foolish actions. I was just staring at my chopped fingers pumping blood freely and my 3 fingers inside the blender. Luckily my mom came back just in time to witness the horror and rush me to our family hospital with my chopped fingers which they were able to stitch together after a 3 hours surgery or so. 2 of the fingers are very okay but I can't fully bend one. Looking back, I can only laugh at now young and foolish we were..

Mine, My Big Brother tried to stop blender blade with his bare hand!
Good thing I was there on time to dissuade him. He insisted the rotor was not that strong as he had severally bring a fast running fan to a stop with his bare hands!
I finally convinced him to at least remove the bladed cup and vent his strength on the robber stub. Long story short, he ended up in a slingshot after suffering dislocation to his shoulder!
I nearly went to church to give testimony - what if it was the blade he held onto?!!

So when I was in Year 3, this lecturer vowed that if I come late to his next class, I will carry over his course because I had been coming late and he had marked my face.

So I prepared very well to come early that day. I even fetched water and kept in case there was no light to pump water. When I woke up, I found out my roommate had used the water to flush in the night when I was sleeping and there was no water.

I tried my best to find water and rush to school before the time for the lecture.

Omo, my plan no dey work again. Before I could even find a bus sef, time for the class had almost reached. After I rushed to go and finally found a bus, in the bus going to the university park, I remembered how one guy that was late for his exam jumped out of the bus one day. Na so I jump my own come land for ground.

At first, I think say I succeed. The driver park come dey ask whether I craze. Other drivers too park come dey reason wetin dey work me.

I scattered my phone screen. Tore my fine clothes. Injured myself. I was limping to class. At the end of the day, the lecturer came late for the class. God damn.

Later I come dey reason what if I broke my head.

My brother told me his friend used to watch plenty Nollywood and he did not understand how people will die by hanging themselves.

Mumu child decided to test it to see if he will actually die.

This guy tied rope on the fan, tied it like noose (I don't know how he figured it out sha, but I'm sure it wasn't a proper noose), put the chair and climb.

Then he was standing there, thinking "How will this thing kill anybody"

And then he mistakenly kicked the Chair down. Baba start to struggle. He struggle until his grandmother came into the kitchen by grace and found him.

Thats why there is parental advisory on films.
He was quite lucky.

My dad told me he started having hiccup the day he stoned an owl at a nearby tree closed to their house one evening when he was a boy.

I cannot remember my own for now.but one of my step uncle .he should be like 50 years.he is blind and I asked my dad what happened to him.my dad said when he was young ,he went to look and out his face in all those local bombs which they do to cause a blast during celebrating in the village. The ones wey those old men dey set for ground to blast,when one man set the blast.this my step uncle went there to look out of curiosity and he put his face there.the blast destroyed his eyes and part of his face. He has being blind since like 10 years old

My uncle turning fuel inside car with jerrican, naso i light matchstick throw ontop the fuel tank. I was flogged so bad, that night I was scheming how to run away lol

Last I went home from town the father had sent the woman packing and remarried to a young lady whom his daughter would have been at the same size if she was alive today.

Where was the father when the daughter was being punished.

I guess the quest for an heir overtook him. These things happen in our African tradition. Can't really blame him for wanting a male child. Moreover, the triplet pregnancy wasn't his design or wish. Life just happened. The woman died, and he took his life

So sad.

Yep, she did die.

She was very often subjected to immense punishment torture anytime she does the slightest mistake. This time fresh pepper was grinded and rubbed all over her body: eyes, nose, ears, mouth, private part, anus, everywhere. I remember my mom staying up all night trying to calm her down from the screams and pains.

Wasn't me but a neighbour at the time. The girl died a few days afterwards.

Such acts are equivalent to concentration camp torture and deserves heavy punishment to parents who torture little children for being, well, children.

No matter what, kids will always be kids; stubborn, lying etc. You work as a parent is to guide them into realizing that it is morally wrong and they'll change. It's only a phase which will pass with time. There's no need to torture kids

To impress a girl and get her some cashew, I climbed a cashew tree and fell from there. I broke my leg and lied I got hurt while playing ball. My primary school uniform was as clean as a state and yet, I claimed I played ball on that day. I told my father the truth years after and he laughed and said he knew I lied then. I was simping from my mama belle but thank God for his salvation. If I simp again now, it means I'm irreedemable and may God forbid.

I went to bar Beach during festive season like this In Lagos at about age 16. I foolishly jumped inside the water and tide swept my feet off . Mehn I knew I was going until one good hearted soul( I call him an angel) grabbed my hand n pulled me to the shore.

You were so lucky as many have died like that.

Down here, a healthy man used the rope because his wife died while shortly after giving birth to triplets after 5 kids already while the man was looking for a male child. Now eight little children are without father or mother. Life is scaryyyyyy

So many incidences I can't even tell. Even staying alive today is a daredevil task. With the state of the country melancholic people are unaliving themselves left, right and center. It's very scary over here

I Remember when we went to look for a Goat inside a mini forest.

Then in the early 90's, there was this Bible and Key turn Stuff which was used to tell if a Person is Lying or not.

This is just some things I did in school

Back in school, we stole a goat from the school farm, we couldn't roast it cos the smoke will raise alarm, we thought we could use shaving stick to remove the hairs so we tried but it wasn't easy, we decided to put the goat in a bag and go out to cook it in our friends house, we were caught and I received the biggest flogging I have ever received in my life, 76 strokes of the cain and that is after I did some severe punishment like pick pin for some minutes.
I got sick and couldn't come to class through out that week.

There was another day we were having sex party in school chapel hall, there was empty room which we normally do the do while I was in SS3, I really don't know how but we got caught and suspended for 3weeks, I couldn't tell my parents sha.
School was fun o.

Then I left that school and went to one private school, my only time of going to principal office was that we (the entire class) refused to bring our practical specimen and the teacher reported us, we got flogged

You really had fun as a kid but that aunty's wen you remove her skirt story you never complete the story lol.what now happened?

When we were kids, we did plenty of crazy things, and honestly, na only God dey save us that time. I remember one time, one neighbor dey gist us about him cousin wey wan do "big boy" by sliding down staircase railing. E no even reach halfway before him leg miss, and gbam, him break him hand. Till today, the guy dey talk say the bone no heal well, and him no fit straighten the hand proper.

As for me, I get my own story wey I no go ever
forget. That day, we dey play hide and seek for my compound. I dey reason where I go hide wey nobody go find me. Na so my eye see the water tank for our backyard. I climb am sharp-sharp, thinking say I don win the game. As I dey look around from the tank, I con see one mango tree wey dey near. My mind just tell me say, "Guy, jump go that tree, hold the branch, you go look like superhero."

Without thinking twice, I balance myself, gather small momentum, and jump. My guy, I no even reach the branch at all! I just dey fly for air like paper, and na so I land for ground with one loud gbosa. For like two minutes, I no fit breathe. My friends wey dey play with me rush come, dey shake me, dey shout my name, "You dey okay?!"

After small time, I stand up. My body dey pain me well, scratches full my leg and hand, but thank God say I no break anything. Till today, I dey ask myself, "Wetin for happen if I land for my head or jam something sharp for ground?"

The truth be say, the kind nonsense things we do as kids, na grace keep us alive. If person think am now, you go just thank God say nothing bad happen.

When I was like 8yrs old, there is this our neighbour that is in her 30's that I was crushing on.

One day I had the chance to sleep in her room cos my parents travelled and I was scared to sleep alone. At night, when she had slept, I tried to drag up her skirt so I could see her private part

I grew up mostly indoors, as a preteen sef I was always monitored until Senior Secondary school when I change am for them.

But this boy when we were like 7 or 8

His mother win visa or got a job in the US, a nurse
Baby mama. She left the boy wit her mama and went abroad with the promise that she would come back for her boy

That same year, the boy go swim for oyemekun rock and drowned...

Quite a heartbreaking story for that little boy that got drowned.so sad.

Kids love playing rough play and we thank God that as kids we didn't sustain serious injuries like some kids who sustained.

A friend of mine was telling me of his friend who sustained serious neck injuries as a kid when he wanted to throw acrobatic.
He said till today the guy now as adult can't move his neck freely.

As a kid there was a day I was playing with two of my friends and the ball we were playing with got stuck in the ceiling.

I was like there will be many balls in that ceiling and if I can climb into the ceiling, I will be able to get alot of footballs to play with that got stuck at the ceiling from other people.

That is how I climbed the ceiling and was throwing all balls down and the first two rooms in the roof I passed the ceiling were made of plywood until I got to the third room which was my grandmother's room which was made of asbestos, and I fell into the room .
I had to climb back as it was a Sunday.
When my grand mum came back she shouted that thieves have broken into the house but those my two friends told her that it was me that did it.

Till today I still ask what if I was electrocuted in the ceiling?

It's just God that saved most of us when we were kids.
