I understand how you feel (being a graduate myself). The country and the economy are not being fair at all to youths. Here is my recommendation for you. Learn a digital skill and build your portfolio. Here is a list of skills you can learn with your smartphone. 1. Content Writing 2. Graphic Designing 3. Video Editing 4. Blogging or Youtube Creator 5. Social Media Manager. There are others, but I will stop here because I have experience in the ones listed above. You can learn these skills with your phone and even earn from it. I have a youtube channel that focuses on training beginners on mobile graphic design, video editing and tips to make money online. You can check it out to learn at your pace (I am not trying to advertise to you). https://youtube.com/ndmediadesigns I use to tell my students that research is a skill you need to cultivate. There are thousands of resources online to teach you any skill you want to learn. I hope this help. Cheers bro Directway: |

Happy new week. A good way to prepare for the coming year is to learn new skills that will put you ahead of your competition. |
The honest truth is that your earning power is directly proportional to your learning power. This means, the more you learn, the more your chances of earning. Here is a live example, the starting salary for a web developer in Nigeria is around N150,000 (could be more depending on your level of experience). Whereas a graduate is not sure when he is getting a job because the government claims every office is occupied. Digital skills are the best form of investment you can do for yourself as you prepare for 2022. And the best part is there is room for everyone in the digital space, you do not have to be a programmer to earn online. Now to top it all up, you do not need a laptop to begin your online career (for those saying they don't have a PC). I will list out some skills you can learn using your smartphone. 6 Skills to Learn with your Smartphone 1. Graphic Designing 2. Video Editing 3. Content Writing 4. Blogging / Youtube Creator / (long term investment) 5. Social Media Manager / Influencer 5. Crypto Trading (high risk involved) - [not ideal for beginners]. I will be updating this thread with more information about each of the skills listed above. In the meantime, you can follow my blog for more tips on careers and skills. Link in my signature. Also, we have a premium masterclass where we teach Graphic design for smartphone users. You will go from beginner to advance designer after going through the training. Check my business page => https://instagram.com/ndmediadesigns <= all designs were done with my phone. Not trying to brag or show off, just showing you the possibilities available for smartphone graphic designers. As a bonus, we show you how to get clients for your graphic design skills and also give you an introductory course in video editing using your smartphone. If interested in the masterclass, comment your number so you can be added to the group.

I work as a software developer and content creator. In addition, I also offer branding services as a side hustle. Over the weekend, I completed a branding project for a startup. From my experience, when designing a logo for a brand, the colours and icons you use should reflect the brand. It should have a message attached to it. I teach graphics designing on my website and YouTube channel... You can check the link in my bio to connect with me. PS: if you need a professional graphics designer to brand your business, feel free to reach out to me for more details.

inahlot:Blogging is still very lucrative when you know how to blog for money. You need to think of your blog/website as a brand which means you should spare no cost when it comes to building your brand. From my experience, here are some of the ways to start monetizing your blog. Side note: All these will work when you start getting viewers. Ways of getting views 1. Research and create content that solves people's immediate need (such as tutorials, reviews etc) 2. As much as possible avoid copy and paste (make your content unique) 3. Share your post across various social media platforms 4. Optimize your content for Search engine Ways of making money 1. Accept Paid guest post or sponsored post 2. Affiliate marketing (promote other people's product) 3. Create your own product or ebook. 4. You are clearly an expert in one Field... Promote that service on your site 5. Google adsense Hope this helps!!! Feel free to reach out via the email address on my signature if you need further guidance or a web developer to setup your blog. |
Clinton911:Don't rush into posting regularly. Take your time and research the topic before writing about it. Write key points you want to explain. Read and understand what others have written and then write in your own words. |
