Properties / Re: Solar Inverters: Cost Implication, Durability And Issues by habumaks(m): 5:01pm On Feb 15, 2023
Hi guys,

This is my setup. I did everything myself (with my little knowledge). Inverter (3500watts), 3 tubular batteries (220A each), 6 Panels (130W each). My question is this - The Charge Controller is 20A, is it ok or do I need to get a bigger one.

Thanks for your response

It is not about hiding papers in their bras. A girl can hide a smartphone in her bra and when a metal detector beeps she will say it is the metal clasp in her bra which will be difficult to comfirm, if you knw what is means. That is the reason for the ban.

Phones / MTN Stole My N9000 Airtime Today What Do I Do? by habumaks(m): 3:34pm On May 10, 2013
Ok, last week I bought an MTN line with a 'promo' of N9000 preloaded. Today being the 6th day I have used only 400 only for me to check my balance and discovered I have only N150 left.

I know I did not load the N9000 per se but that was the reason I bought the line in the first place. Now I feel I am being robbed.

Is it their new way of scamming us? How can I buy a sim for N1500 when I can get it for virtually free these days?

If they are trying to pin me into using their useless line by playing this scam, they should try again.

Computers / Question About A Battery Charger For Inverter Please Help! by habumaks(m): 7:37pm On Dec 30, 2011
I dont know if this is the right place to post this. This is for the inverter gurus in the house:

I have a 3000w Inverter and i recently discovered it doesnt charge the battery (only inverts). I dont want to risk giving it to the technicians around here because they might damage it further and i love and enjoy it so much.

My question is this:
I have a separate battery charger i got recently the specs is 12volts, 6Amps. is this capacity ok to charge my 200AHS drycell battery? I have had experience in the past with chargers and i dont want to damage my battery.

Many thanks.

specs:
3000 WATTS FULLY AUTOMATIC DC AC
INVERTER & BATTERY CHARGER
Model No. AX750IN

Feature: • DC Input: 12V • AC 220-240V 50Hz • Output Short Circuit Protection • Auto Operation Fan (Heat/Load) • Over Load/Heat Pre-Alarm & Shutdown • Battery Low Warning Before Shutdown • Output Short Circuit W/O Buring Fuse

GEJ should please tell us his economic advisers. I hope this socalled prophets are not the ones who talked him into pushing this. THERE ARE BASIC INFRASTRUCTURES THAT WE NEED TO SEE IN PLACE BEFORE accepting your proposal. please provide things that will ease our nerves a bit while we are experiences that effects of the subsidy removal. Please start by given us light, better our schools, hospital so by the time the price hike tries to cause a breakdown in our system, we should afford the hospital bills.

Business / Re: Do 80% Of Nigerians Truly Live On Less Than $2? by habumaks(m): 11:40am On Nov 02, 2011
Iolo:

Please, without assuming, what's the remotest, poorest place you've been to?

I use myself as an example. I served in Jigawa (a very poor state), did INEC registration in a community that was 3hours from the LG secretariat. 3hrs on desert land o? No cars can make it thru, but 4x4 pickups, the ancient Toyota hilux and co lik u see on Discovery.

In the village where I worked, millet is the staple food. They eat it Morning, Afternoon, Night (3 square meals o). They also have a saying that if you stopped eating Millet, then you are a lazy farmer (farming community). These guys have No Cell Phone, No cars, about 10 Bikes in a community of 1000+, few of the kids go to school - they are the poorest of the poorest.

But  - Do you mean to tell me that if these guys have to buy the Millet they eat Day and Night, they won't spend more than 300 daily? Then add costs of Firewood, Cooking materials.

And then finally compare: the 80% of Nigerians is - LIVE on less than $2/day and not SPEND less than $2/day. If the statement said spend, I won't be disturbing myself.

Your analysis is very correct. I think people are confusing the  ^^^ 2 bolded. LIVING on 2dollars a day is very different from SPENDING 2dollars a day.

HOW DID THEY FREAKINGLY ARRIVE AT THE FIGURE OF 80% IS MY PROBLEM.
