So in 2 years, he couldn't save anything to add up and buy his own Keke? Honestly Banking job in Nigeria is not worth your time. He better keep that suit and certificate one side and hit the streets.
How much was he supposed to save from #40k? Even if he has been saving for the past two years, it still won't be enough to buy keke.

Health / Re: Working 55 Hours A Week Increases Risk Of Death: UN by HalpyBee(f): 9:49pm On May 17, 2021
Apt! Know this, know peace. The importance of setting limits cannot be overemphasized. When employees overwork, it makes them get tired of their work and frustrated. The only driving force is the pay they receive; no enthusiasm, joy.

“No job is worth the risk of stroke or heart disease. Governments, employers and workers need to work together to agree on limits to protect the health of workers.”

that's unfortunately kinda hard for me. I can't really concentrate for a long
I can relate with that though. The level of urgency of a task automatically makes me focus. I once tried an application called "Forest", a productivity app that keeps you away from distractions and helps manage your time.

You can try setting deadlines for yourself to complete a task.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Lawmakers Sat For Only 14 Days In Three Months, Missing Deadlines by HalpyBee(f): 3:03pm On Apr 26, 2021
That means the highest number of times they sat in a month is five times. 5 days out of 30 days! The remaining 25/26 days were for catching cruise.

Yet, their allowances are still intact. Those making the laws are also the ones breaking it!

Programming / Re: Remote Work: Your Experiences As A Remote Worker by HalpyBee(f): 12:45pm On Apr 23, 2021
I've been working remotely for a year now and the experience so far has been a mixed one.
No doubt, it's more convenient working from home; navigating between work desk and your bed, not having to wake up early and dress for work, etc.

Apart from the boredom and sometimes not having a balance lifestyle between work and life, it's been a great experience.

The purpose of closing the border was not even achieved in the first place. You closed the border so as to boost local production of which it was a total failure.
Now you opened it again- back to square one. Never have I seen a more confused government.

Same old tactics they've been using. Sadly, many will still fall for it.

The rate at which food items are expensive in the market is alarming! Go to the market and you will know how our money has devalued. #1000 cannot even buy a congo of rice and garri. Few years back, this same #1000 will buy a congo of rice, beans, garri and you will even collect change.
If there is inflation, income wage should increase as well but no it remains stagnant.

The disheartening thing is that nobody is talking about it and it's not like people are comfortable. But you know Nigerians, we easily adapt to changes, suffering and smiling is our logo. You won't know how these high prices of food has hit a lot of families until you visit their household.
What a pity!
