As someone making his income online, let me make my humble contribution to the thread. I see a lot of answers from people making money online and those that sees the Net as a hobby. There are all nice answers but with so many write ups, it becomes confusing.

First the OP, if you need your cash urgently, you can cash out with any of the e-currencies listed e.g. Perfect Money and then look for a trusted Exchanger near you in Nigeria and sell to that person. And you will get a higher return as the exchange rate will be higher than what you would normally get. But note the saying "More gain but more risk". Let me explain. As this involves an additional third party, anything can happen. You have to know who you are selling / exchanging with in order not to be scammed.

If you are not in a hurry, your best option since you are doing this online biz long term, is to get a Payoneer account. This account comes with a US bank account attached (now the secret is out, no more anyone selling you an ebook on this) and a Plastic MasterCard account to withdraw from the ATM. This is what I use to take all my online earnings. It is really cheap as they charge only 1% of your earnings. Then there is the usual ATM fees when you withdraw your fund. There is also the annual fee of $30 paid every year from your deposits. That's all I know about their charges.

When you open your acct (can take a few days), and send in your verification documents, you will be given your US online acct and you can even send your money to it. But you wont be able to withdraw your cash until you have your MasterCard plastic card. This they would usually send via normal post and can take anywhere from 21 days to forever.

Let me explain the last part. Forever, in that your card may never arrive because of the postal system or delay or outright misplacement by those concerned at the post office. In that case Payoneerr will send you another card. But wait, there is a faster and better option.

You can inform Payoneer through their support desk that you want the delivery to be made by DHL. This will cost you $60 which will be deducted from your account and the card dispatched to you via DHL. This takes 4-5 working days to be in your hands anywhere you are in this world. This was the option I used.

Men, is the payoneer card worth it? I can never trade that card and the account. I can not imagine working online without that account. I use that account to get paid by all the companies I work with like Amazon, Fiverr, and Draft2Digital. the payments to this account arrives clockwise. No delay, no stories. Anytime my money arrives in the account, Payoneer will send an email alerting me. I just wait for a day or
two and then hit the ATM. When i come back, it is celebration time in the house as everyone will know that daddy went to collect his salary. And this is not usually once a month. It can be weekly. Hahahaha.

I like the freedom. I traded my corporate world some 12 years ago and said it was going to be online, from my PC and in my Boxers. For anyone thinking this is easy, it is not at all. It takes a lot of hard work. Remember you will be the Manager, Clerk, Advert officer, Accountant and all. So don't think it is easy. But the good news is that it can be done. Takes a while though to get things rolling. You may want to keep your day job while you work this. And then you do not quit.

Addendum: The downside to the Payoneer - when you withdraw your money at the ATM, the exchange rate which you get may be low compared to the other market. As anything else, there is always a way. I can see a lot of the exchangers in Nigeria now buying Payoneer fund. You can get a better deal through them. Just do your homework before dealing with anyone. If possible, deal face to face with an exchanger that has a physical office. Just my 2 cents.

The short answer is No. buying adword to service a adsense account is called "arbitrage".
while google does not officially ban it, they frown upon such act and it would place your account under scrutiny. if my memory serves me right, the argument against it was "good user experience". imagine someone came to your site through adwords, then they left your site through adsense and landed on another site with adsense ads, then hop on to the next site through adsense... the loops can go on endlessly.

Again, you can try it but you'll end up holding the short end of the stick.

You may use other PPC networks e.g. Bing Ads. Do not use Adword if its is for only Adsense. But you can use Adwords for Affiliate marketing. They have the biggest traffic online.

I read through the question by OP and all the various answers. In fact I could not help laughing at some of the responses. You see this is the problem with the Net. There is information overloads. Also everyone is an "Expert".

let me start by saying YES you can buy and send TRAFFIC to a blog monetized with Adsense, but you need experience to do this successfully. You need to earn more than you are spending to make a profit. It is called Adsense Arbitrage. You can Google and read this term.

When we talk of traffic, they are many types of it. There are fake and real ones. And this is where you have to be careful. Google does not want Fake traffic and you will get into trouble when you buy this. You will not be in trouble when you buy PPC traffic from places like Adwords, Bings, and Microsoft where there are enough quality controls and the source trusted. You do not have much of click frauds from these places as the companies involved have strong detective mechanism to control and stop this. Google is comfortable with this type of traffic and you will not get into any problem with your acct.

The only problem is that you have to know how to do this right. You must earn more than you are spending. Who said you cannot do it with PPC traffic? Do you know that you can get quality clicks from places like Adwords and Bing Ads for 1 cent per click? It is all possible, but you have got to know how to do this. It took me almost 10 years to figure this out. I thought free traffic and SEO was the only way. Hahahaha, now I know better.

What a coincidence as I just finished a report on how to make money online with cheap quality PPC traffic, the kind of traffic that is accepted by Google. Master this and you can kiss your money problems online goodbye as you will surely make money online. Imagine if you can earn $10 for every $5 that you send online. How much will you earn? You just need to start with a fix amount and then reinvest your profit until you build up your capital base. If you know this, then you can make money online on auto. It is just like turning up the tap whenever you want.. You can send unlimited traffic to any offer / website anytime you want. You will only be limited by the amount of capital in your hand. Yes the traffic from paid sources is almost unlimited.

I just said let me come to Nairaland when I ran into this thread and decided to contribute. If you want to know how it can be rightly done with PPC traffic, then see my signature. It is free info for you. You may take it or leave. No problem.

In 2016 and going forward, I want to say that using paid traffic online is the way to go. Organic or SEO traffic is no more the way. Just one Google change or update and you are down to zero. Read online of people who had a full-time income and after the Google updates lost everything. They saw everything dry up over night. Traffic they built up via SEO over so many years dried up in one day. You do not want that happening to you. Like I said the era of free traffic / SEO is over - at least for now. Maybe it will change in future, who knows. I am not saying that you cannot do SEO, but it is no longer worthwhile. Spend your time doing something else like adding quality contents to your website, looking for the right offers and so on.

Lastly, I almost forgot this one. If you can not successfully apply and get the Adsense acct by yourself, you can get someone to assist you do this. There si nothing wrong with this. They are couple of guys claiming to have some secret knowledge on how to do this successfully. You will find them at places like Fiverr and the other freelance sites. I do not know much about them as I have never used them. I got my adsense acct years back when it was still easy to get an adsense acct.

Yea I get paid by D2D every month, They pay around 10th of every month. Sometimes I sell more with them than with Amazon. It is another great platform after Amazon.

Well, it depends on the genre. Check similar books and copy what they do.
But in my two-cented opinion,
I won't really say pages, rather words. 10, 000 words is the minimum and I will price it at .99 cents. In my experience, 5000 words is about 15 pages, so 10k is about 30 pages. I would advise at least 20,000 words and price 2.99. The idea is give readers the impression that they are getting value at such a price. This can attract readership with the right marketing.

A free promotion is different from sales. I have downloaded lots of free books but never read them. Really, people just download cos it is free.
It is a different matter when it comes to sales.

I will give the links to my kindle books if your book ranks under #20,000 i.e sells 1copy per day every day with that cover and description. And I then realize that you are the God of luck and I humbly request to be your follower.
And I guess I will owe you an apology. Please take my ecovers as a peace offering.

On the lenght, i guess its a total loss then; for you. But, to give you a reason, you never heard this info anywhere before, as the length couldn't stop it. It transcends ordinary writing conventions. It contains a perspective of life that you have not yet achieved. That is why it is pure wisdom; It offers science that is not bound by conventions. Knowledge don't bind us, real knowledge frees and exposes us. No fears, no worries because man comes before information. Humanity is the value of reality. I could go on.

@ Zico0, I have followed the criticisms / advices given to you concerning your first book and your responses. I want to say that you should pls take constructive criticisms in good light and work on them. What the guys have said here is true. Many of us here are already doing what you are trying to do. We have walked the path. Remember the saying that "Experience is the best teacher". Do you want to make the same mistakes we made? Do you want to waste some precious time? Price your book at $2.99 for a start and try and make your first sale. You are lucky someone here even did a cover free for you. The least u can get that on Fiverr is $. Why doing that, I decided to follow up on the procedures discussed and did a little work which I uploaded last night. I woke up this morning to see that it has been published. You can opt out from kdp select at anytime but the current enrollment (90 days) must be fulfilled. Just go to your dashboard click info beside the book and remove automatic renewal.

My mistake, I did not do a copyscape test as my first 2 just passed easily.

Hi Friends, i have published book number 2 today. The 3rd one should be there in 2 days time.
For the 1st book, i put it on on KDP Select and during the 3 days of free promotion, it was downloaded 188 times.
Well not like the experience of other people who said they got thousands, but I am happy I have started the journey.

My plan is to get out 5 books within this month. I am not bothered about sales because i know it will come. Just now
i checked and i have made my first sale of my 1st ebook priced at $2.99. I am glad. This happened with 2 books on
my bookshelf. I know i will have more with the 5 books planned this month.

Today I finally published my 1st book on the KDP platform. It has taken months but I finally did it.

First it was "the topic, then the cover, how was I going to make the cover?" that kept me away.
But after reading the thread here, I felt challenged and said "Hey I am going to do it". So today I
did it.

Right now, the ebook is under review. I plan 5 this month, so 1 gone, 4 left. I will do it! I am going
to start the 2nd one today.

mk82: I haven't used the kdp cover creator but I've used the one for createspace. If it is the same standard, you can only use it for simplistic covers. You will have the same images and fonts with every other user. If you want your book to stand out, make your own cover or outsource.

Right now, i do not know how to use the corel draw and i am also on tight budget. Since you say that i may get a simple cover with the creator, I want to start with that and later get a good cover from odesk. I want to start and do not want anything to delay me anymore. i will perfect things as i go on. i plan 5 kindle ebooks this month. Thanks.

herbscure02: I didn't discourage anybody but my advice for anybody is that they shud go there first and do the survey b4 they can decide to do any business or work there because Ghana is not a place you can go and decide to do any business without partner with one of ghananians UNLIKE nigeria. They are not employing foreigner into their company except you can apply for security job or selling pure water and small small work that ghananian can't do.
There were many nigerians that believe ghana is better than nigeria and they decided to come to ghana unfortunately for them, they needed to sell pure water to get their transport fare back to nigeria when they were stranded

And thanks for the useful advice. yes anyone planning to relocate or invest in any country (not just Ghana) should first make a visit to the country and check out things for himself. I made a mistake of not doing this when I went to the Republic of Seychelles in 2004 and this affected me negatively. So a good advice to everyone.
