Has anyone gotten starlink hardware in Nigeria? I saw a twitter post of someone testing in Nigeria

https://www.reddit.com/r/Starlink/comments/wwg0nc/starlink_speed_test_in_nigeria/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Some of the comments there are hilarious though grin

Heard starlink is starting operations in Nigeria this August and the price for the kit will be $99 as against $599 being sold in other countries

https://www.capacitymedia.com/article/2af13w9ghve2m7ajx5728/news/starlink-cuts-price-of-start-up-kit-for-nigerians-to-99

Hopefully this news is true.
Funnily I cancelled my deposit in May 2021 after one year of payment without any concrete news.

The link you posted is for one cell only
The one I posted is a batch of 4 cells grin
Mostly sellers prefer selling them in batches of 4 cells so as to match the voltage before shipping them to you

Awesome. How long did it take you to bring it up to balance using that bench power supply?
Approximately 8 days for the 8 batteries. The PSU I bought was rated for 30v/10a CV CC. Patience is virtue when it comes to Top Balancing Lithium Cells. grin

Did you get in Aliexpress? please share link, thanks in advance

Just Arrived:
Brand New 16 pcs of 280AH 3.2V Lishen LFP battery with 150A Daly BMS having bluetooth, temperature sensor, battery monitoring meter with UART comminication interface.

Will you be Top balancing the cells in parallel before you assemble them? I would advise you do so.
Just finished a similar build with EVE cells 24v 280AH and overkill BMS
It was an experimental build/ DYI hands on for a quick replacement of dead lead acid batteries.
Was almost going for the Felicity lithium that has been heavily advertised here but thought otherwise as the reviews was not so favorable.
In hindsight, the 24v 280AH build cost about 620k
(could have been far less if I had opted for the 3 months sea shipment as against 3 weeks air freight and also choice of BMS) as against 450k for the 24v 200AH( ) Felicity lithium battery

Do you trade with the Trove App?
If so, have you received any dividend so far from any of the companies you invested in?
How did it happen? Is there any special procedure for it?
I've never received any so far, including from those that are meant to be monthly.

Can someone else confirm these queries
I sent Trove an email concerning this and their reply below

Hello ********
Dividends are paid into your wallet when the company declares their dividends, which is usually yearly. It isn't up to Trove to decide that. Also not all stocks pay dividends. So please make sure to do your research before investing in a stock.

You're welcome. On the scale of the investments, the good thing is that the investment platforms today support fractional shares so you can divide whatever amount you have between the shares you want to buy. All you have to do is put in the amount and the exact percentage of a share will be calculated.

oh ok cool
never knew this was a thing
will look more into it
thanks once again

Google

These are solid long-term investments.

Hi Koonbey
thanks for your quick response, What you listed are the top notch, crème de la crème , us stocks to own and die for grin
let me be a little clearer with my proposal;
say you have an initial outlay of 500K- 1M naira to invest in US stocks, Amazon alone with a going rate of $3,200 will not cut it as it is way over the budgeted investment
We will get there someday. but for now looking at starting small to grow big

Thanks for the feedback

good morning house
I happened to come across this thread after following the treasury bill thread judiciously and investing in same.
Unfortunately things have gone south with the treasury bills rates and I am looking at dabbling into other investments
I have downloaded the Trove app based on some of the recommendations here and I seem to be comfortable with it. Having been giving the clearance too start investing by the trove team, I will like to seek some of your opinions
My immediate outlook is to invest in long term US stocks that pays good dividends. the idea is to buy the stocks in piecemeal and grow them over the years. Being new to all this I will like to pick your brains which stocks you all will recommend to buy. I will be more interested in the quarterly?/yearly dividends such stock will return
thanks in advance

That's interesting, and this is when your load is on battery and not served by solar or grid?

Look at the screen shot. Grid watt and PV watt is 0 smiley

It's one of the reason I went for GK 3kva which is half that of MK on idle. That said, idle consumption is not my main concern, it is the load consumption, what's your MK like on say 600w load?

I think its the same 75w consumption under load
Im looking at a screen shot I took some time ago
on the inverter side, the load is 414w while on the battery side the BMS gives a more accurate reading of 488w which is a difference of 74w

Okay, so where are the other MPP users @duwdu @NiyiOmoIyunade

MPP Mk series have a 75w no load power consumption which seems high compared to what JUO is getting from his own brand of inverter.
But then you probably might not worry on these things if you have adequate battery size to carter for it.
……… on a second thought running the inverter idle at 10 hours gives 750wh which is high to be sincere

Thanks!

How many watt do you harvest daily from your 4600 PV solar system? I'm trying to set up one at my house and I would like to know what I can harvest from a 8 nos of 300 watt panel (2400). I've done some reading up myself and I've spoken to some installer likewise but I want something more practically as against the usual assuming 5 hours of sunlight, one will get 12kwh BS which will then be reduced by efficiency and other losses

I plan to use 4 nos of 200ah battery

Average harvest of 13Kwh- 18Kwh. The sun was smoking hot today. almost hitting 19Kwh mark
for your 2400w panels expect an average of 7Kwh - 10Kwh daily weather permitting.
with the stay at home order, boredom has kicked in and I literarily just seat and stare at the ICC software to see when the solar panels hit peak
more like watching a wet paint dry cheesy

What do you harvest daily from your set up?

What's the size of your battery bank?

I average about 3-3.5 hours of sunlight on daily bases
Battery bank is 10.7kwh of Lithium. Usually depleted to about 30% daily before the sun comes up

305w is still ok, how much did you buy them?. your contact on this forum?
could you gimme the exact dimensions as well.
Check out Genex Technlogies (goggle them)
They deal solely on Canadian solar panels. Their office is at Lekki.
On their website they actually have pdf manuals of the available panels in stock. You can check their sizes there
