You misunderstood me, that was me expressing shock because i didn't know there was anything like that. But of course, it probably came out wrong. Sorry though, and thanks i didn't know about that.
Cheers

You should not have responded to me like that, even if I don't know what I am talking about, its better to ask question now, so we won't Jonze ourselves at the border.

I am sorry, One Love

I wonder why we get questions that can be answered yourself or even google on this platform. You can just google all these info and sort yourself out, don't leave info as delicate as this to the opinion of a general public that you don't even know their background. If you want to study "LAW" and you can't answer this questions yourself, omo!

All the best sha.

Please someone should help me on this.

1. Can one study law in Canada and practice it in Nigeria?

2. I need a cheap tuition school in Canada offering law where one can school and work

3 If possible an school offering scholarship

4. Admission Requirements.

Thanks

Has any approved TRV applicants gotten their "Point of Entry Letter of Introduction "?, I had you need to provide the letter at the Canadian Border to get your study permit.

Thanks alot. i already booked to be in the US, reason i was shouting and really waiting for response. so i'll move from the US. You made your booking yet? You should check turkish airlines too, they have reasonably fair prices and their airlines are good.

Congrats Hugger.
Time to book your flight.
P.S. I noticed the cheapest and shortest flights in August are the Thursday Ethiopian Airline flights.

Not really sure which one worked. But from the first web enquiry, it took roughly a week. I'm tempted to think it came after i send the email, that took about 3days i think.

blaqnony:
@Hardy and Jewel, how long did it take you guys to get a response after sending an enquiry mail to those emails addresses supplied ? Thank you guys.

BTW, Jewel, congratulations on your approval.

OKay, my timeline.

Applied on the 20th of April

Had my biometrics done on the 24th of April

Naso i begin wait...Then got medical request July 4th.

Medical passed update July 6th.

Approval July 9th.

DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED.

Offer letter from the school
My SOP ( I took my time to do this)
Letter of sponsorship from my brother( Well aligned with my SOP)
SOA of sponsor( my brother)
MY CV
Police report

Ladies and gentlemen, that's all i submitted, yes! Just that, not even my school certificate.

So a couple of times, i saw people's applications, their documents and i lost all hope, but one thing is certain, I never forgot calling on GOD, because even the best applications got denied. His GRACE and MERCY definitely showed up for me.

To add also, i was in Canada for a couple of weeks earlier and i had gone for a short program in the same field in the US and i returned promptly.

Even though i submitted my application before i fully got involved here, i really truly appreciate everyone here, the wealth of knowledge and wisdom here cannot be underestimated. God bless you guys!!!

E pain me say i no baf since morning, i for don resume VHS now to drop passport.lol but the place too far.

Please what is the average processing time to have my passport returned back for pickup?

All TRV hopefuls, all the best!

I'm still a bit confused about this whole professor sponsoring your program. Usually, for research based programs, if you get a scholarship, and you find a supervisor, the school funds it, or they waive your tuition which is in the form the scholarship takes. I'm a little confused about your supervisor trying to pay for your program, when you no be him pikin.

However, tell them the funding is available since you already have your money with you, and ask if you can go ahead to pay since you can afford it. I want to believe they won't say no.

All the best mate.

Josh1996:
I have but was informed that it's a strict policy of the school that students for their thesis program must either have a funding from their prospective professor or scholarship from their home country

Yes. email.

I'm forced to think it was the email i sent they attended to, not to web enquiry. Meanwhile, i sent to london immigration too, cos they actually processed my visiting visa, and we have noticed they processed some student visa too.

blaqnony:

Sorry, when you speak of sending emails to Accra and Nairobi, are you referring to traditional email or Webform too? Meanwhile, I did my biometrics in Abuja .
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 1:19pm On Jul 09, 2018
I think you should use lagos. when i did mine, i used nairobi, but i didn't get anything, and then i sent mails to all of them.lol.

But the night before i got an update from them, i directed my webform enquiry to lagos. So i think you should do lagos and then send an email to them to. You can send to accra and nairobi. I sent to those two and lagos. Send separate mails, not copy o.

Be sure the processing time kini has passed though.

All the best.

blaqnony:

@Harde and Jewel, please I need an urgent response to this question.

Meanwhile, congratulations to you Jewel on your approval

I think you should be able to defer, plus is it not a policy in most schools to refund you if your visa is denied? I think they would only deduct their administrative fee, which is fair enough. But please confirm what works for the school. But deferring the admission might be your best option if there's a chance of losing money.

All the best.

Good evening all....
I got my gcm's note, been able to put my doc together but then, I haven't paid my fees, and payment is due August...... Considering the processing time, is it advisable to go ahead and pay the fees before putting up the application?

Note: if I don't pay by 1st week of August, I ll loose the admission. If I pay and don't get approved I'll loose my money.

For my chosen course, there's no January session till fall session next year.

Pretty confused

I think it's required that you have it stamped, and it is even better. You don't want to leave anything to chance. If he is not in Nigeria, he can do an official email to them, have them print and stamp, then he sends a letter of identification to you and them and your means of ID. It is not much of a big deal, that was the same thing my brother did for me.

Abeg don't leave anything to chance, these things are quite sensitive.

All the best.

So i have to be physically present to book the appointment yea?

Bodmillz:

Go to the children practice, it’s cheap and fast. I did my medical there on Monday and it has been updated this morning. However, they will ask you to book for a later date, if you are comfortable with the date no problem. When I got there as early as 6am on Monday I was told they would only attend to those booked for Monday and I can only book for Wednesday because Tuesday is also filled. So I talked to one of the ladies there and she told me to wait till 10am if one of the people booked for that day didn’t show up, she will replace the name with mine. I chose to wait till 10am and thankfully about 10 of them didn’t show up and I had my medicals done.

Hi Guys!

I'm super excited. Finally Got approved!

My hugging partner harde116 up next!

Applied on 20th of April,

Did medical upfront

Applied for an MSc Degree

Didn't get an Approval mail just checked online as soon as I saw Harde116 had his medical request

I applied with:
The required online documents IMXXXX
Sponsorship Letter
Sponsors Investment Letters (Treasury Bills)
Payment Instructions for Part Payment
SWIFT Message Confirming Successful Transfer of Part Payment Funds
Sponsors Bank Account Statement (4 months)
Admission Acceptance Fee Payment Notification
Employment Letter for My Current Job
Admission Letter from School
A 2 page SOP in the Client Information section
Proof of Medical Exam
Passport Photo
Scanned Passport and Visa Pages

Note the following:
1. Up until today only Biometrics showed Completed and Background check has been running since, Eligibility just went under review on the online platform too. Still there

2. Also, according to the document (and like I was informed in this group even as I found it hard to belive), visa will only be issued for till the expiry of the passport so I'll apply for an extension when I'm in Canada by Gods Grace after renewing my Passport when I land in Ontario (not my final destination). I didn't renew my passport because of the 9 or 6 months renewal rule. Chose not to renew my passport after I submitted because I applied based on the current passport data. Also because I read somewhere about the passport having to be more than 6 months old (I doubt the veracity though but better safe than sorry)

3. You're the first people I'm sharing this news with. I really appreciate this forum.

4. Nursing malaria's gonna wait cuz this Nigga's driving to VFS asap.

Thank you all for your assistance and hope. #GodsGrace

Hey bro, it is well. I guess you saw this coming. Safe trip and all the best with your plan B.

Cheers

don2207:
Hello All,

I just received a message today after 10 weeks of waiting . . .application denied and the only box ticked was for PURPOSE OF VISIT. I guess my intuition was right, like I mentioned in my post yesterday I was a bit care free with my application and only started frequenting this thread after submission.

I applied for a certificate program to study Civil Technician in Assiniboine College, Brandon. I pretty much have every possible documents.. . I presently work in a federal ministry, also an executive in an active private company in the federal capital. I have participated in international conferences and deal negotiations. Sadly, my over 7 years experience is way higher than my proposed program of study.

Thanks to everyone here, I have gained so much knowledge and thanks to @PHOCUSJOSH for not letting me waste my money today since I was proposing to go ahead with my medicals despite not receiving information to do so because of my intended trip to the UK. Sincerely, i got tired of waiting.

I encourage every new applicant to go to page one on this thread, digest and process every available information, understand the frequent reasons why Visa applications are rejected and do your possible best to address every of this issue. A robust statement of purpose might be all you need to boost your chances of getting a positive response. Thanks guys....I'll request immediately for my GCMS note while I proceed to my plan B.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 12:06am On Jul 04, 2018
Exactly the same situation my friend. Me i'm even tired, i don book ticket already. Hopefully they contact me soon for medicals, i believe that's the main ish now, others can be settled from anywhere. Like it's hard to return earlier than planned only to come and do "medicals", that is not even 100% certain.

It's really tiring though. God help us all.

Cheers

don2207:
We do have quite a similar situation here. I submitted via online route on the 19th of April, did my biometrics on the 23rd, my completed biometrics did reflect in my application status. However, no other update since then.

It's been 10 weeks of waiting patiently and tirelessly, it's almost like my whole life is on pause mode. Some 10 days ago, I sent a mail to all the available email addresses I got from this section, I was promptly replied by the Kenya and Lagos offices but apparently, my application is being processed in Lagos.

I am keen on getting a decision from them, sadly the duration is messing up my other plans. I already secured an admission into a University in Ireland as plan B. grin

I have decided to do my medicals UPFRONT tomorrow which I will have sent to them via e-mail....(I do not know how effective this might be). I will be traveling to the UK in 4 days and subsequently Germany for a series of meetings. I will be away from the country for about 3 weeks. Hopefully if my application is approved, I will submit my passport in any of the Countries I am at.

So you see, we are in the same situation.

There seem to be a trend of denied approvals for applicants who are self-sponsoring, this can be frightening sometimes because I certainly did overlook a few things while putting out my application but then again, fingers crossed!..

Also, a major thank you to everyone here for the good job, it is amazing how much I have learnt despite having already submitted my application before frequenting this section. I hope I receive a positive news pretty soon. To those denied applicants, it is never the end . . . just take the lessons and improve on your next application or have some other plans. Best wishes!
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by harde116: 9:26pm On Jul 02, 2018
Hey guys, please advise.

So i've been waiting for the next step from these guys, but nothing. I'm slated to be out of the country in a few weeks. I'm hopeful i get called for medicals before i travel as that would require my physical presence. However when approval comes and i'm asked to submit my passport, can i have my passport stamped outside my country of application?(NIGERIA) at least stamp na stamp na.

Not sure if i can courier my passport out and remain in another man's country.

Meanwhile, i sent a mail to london processing office without adding "URGENT" and i'm not even sure if they are the ones processing. They processed my visiting visa. Abeg, which other offices do you know? and can you send their emails so i send to all of them.lol cos me i'm tired abeg.

Applied since April 20th.

Thanks guys.

All the best to us all.

Hi everyone,

Abeg o, i applied online since April 20th, and i have not heard pekem. I've only done biometrics which has been updated. So it's obviously gone beyond their processing time, and i used the webform already, and i'm not exactly sure how effective that is.

Please who knows the official email and i can send my request to, and how often they respond to emails.

Thanks guys and all the best to us all.
