Just like Hardmirror said, its always a little here, a little there...you cannot have that type of guts to challenge church principles and still be a christian. Truth is, a whole lot of other christian principles and teachings doesn't make sense: trinity, virgin birth, blood cleansing of sin (human sacrifice) especially considering the fact that these where pagan believes before christianity adopted and integrated them.

We all started this way; question some believes that were not logical, research on history of the bible and christianity in general. No one gets those info in all honesty and still remains a christian unless out of society pressure.

Big Bang, the very imagination of the slimmest chance of a possibility of that is to me the height of foolishness and human degradation. What is the evidence that there was a bang, where are your clips of when the bang happened, or why can't life be produced in the labs purely from another bang? if you think two elements in their random combination started it all, why can't you bring those two elements together again to create even the simplest life form. I think a man's mind would either need to be clouded by the devil, or lose a huge portion of its sanity, before it can even consider, let alone believe such silly opinion.

And as for your quest for evidence of God's existence, one way to start making a headway is to revisit your fundamental ideologies on whom you think God is. He is a spirit being, and so, you cannot see Him by your physical means-satellite telescopes and all. Should He even decide to appear in physical form, you literally cannot behold His appearance and survive. You don't have to believe that now, while on earth, but you will surely more than believe it when you leave.

Now an ignoramus who thinks he knows all about waves can start saying something like when waves are produced in a plucked string we see it, and for ripples on water, we see them, but since we cannot see radio waves, then they surely don't exist. He may makes sense to fools like himself, but that's not to say he is right. The evidence of the existence of radio waves-which are not visible to the human eye- is in the works they perform on our transistor radio sets, TVs, mobile phones and all.
So it is with God, if you pay close sensible attention to the happenings around you, it won't be difficult to see the outstanding and undeniable works of God-in people's lives and in our environment- which prove his existence well beyond every reasonable doubt.

I totally agree with you that we need to ask hard questions about how we practice our Christianity. Some things are out of bounds, we shouldn't question the fundamentals. The start point should be the foundation of salvation in Jesus.
We need to question why we do some things.
Why do we sing certain songs?
Why don't we subject all sermons to further scrutiny?
Why are our pastors tin gods?
Why are gospel ministers leaving the church in droves?
How are we treating the poor, the widows, strangers and orphans?
What is the source of the donations and huge contributions made to our churches?
What is the full story behind the juicy testimonies we celebrate every Sunday?
Why don't we organize healing crusades in hospital wards?

I ask these questions because I want to be a better christian.

But since it's absurd to do so, then I suggest you respect the limitations set on our hindsight and foresight as you or I can never know in exact details what the distant past is (e.g. how the universe came to be) or what the distant future would be like in accurate details (e.g. how life on Earth would end...or when the sun would implode and turn into a dwarf or something like that they call dying stars in science).

Only the Eternal Creator knows the different actions and inactions of the properties of the universe that would lead into one of the numerous possibilities (outcomes) in crystallizing into the final answer. If you understand how decision tree OR node programming works...you'll get what I just stated here

I will be sincere with you...I do not know why God decided not to tear down the heavens and kill the rapist or send a human angel to intervene.
I am not God Almighty, so I won't speak for Him on this matter... but I know one funny thing about this world.

Life has a way of giving man certain treasures through misfortunes (including horrible and ugly one like this girl and her family)...but it comes down to how we make the best out of our horrible moments like JOB did...

In addition, whether God intervenes or not...He will still be blamed for life's misfortunes by atheists and anti-god people...

Consider the Hitler example. If Hitler died in WW1...God would still be blamed for allowing this young man to die. If Hitler was admitted into an art school to pursue his life long ambition in painting..perhaps...WW2 wouldn't have happened...

Now that Hitler's life was spared...through his conscious decisions.. he formed the Nazi party, and the Reichstag...made himself the Kaiser (King and Supreme Authority of Germany)...and led the world to another war which consumed millions...YET GOD WAS BLAMED.

IF ONLY THE DEVIL AND HUMANS CAN TAKE A FAIR SHARE OF THE BLAME TOO... I think it's gonna be fair enough...

While I agree with your conclusions, I strongly disagree with the means by which you arrive at that conclusion.
The man picked an issue that had become very sensitive because of the economic situation. The tithe debate is not new, check this Section History for archives on heavy theological arguments for and against tithes.
As it stands, we are at a place where we need to question all our assumptions so we can bury practices that have no biblical origin. The problem with the church goes beyond tithes, offering and first fruits. We need to move to discussing relationship with God.
If these pastors had come out to admit the truth, Freeze would not have received more attention than he deserved. Let's face it, the leadership of our 'big' churches is flawed. This entire episode has revealed that many are childish and immature.
No christian should allow a revolution to divide, rather than unify the church. That's where this sheeple thing goes off the rails.
In that regard, I agree that propel May be misled into division, strife and error.

Religious faith is a choice. You choose to believe something in spite of the lack of evidence. You immerse yourself in experiences that would strengthen your faith e.g Going to church, reading only religious books, listening to only religious songs, making friends with only Christians. You avoid situations that might weaken your faith such as talking to atheists, studying evolution and the Big Bang theory, reading articles that criticize ‘men of God’, etc.

Think of this.

The Jews claim to have one God, one Moses, one Torah yet there were different sects often quarreling amongst themselves. e.g. Pharisees, Sadducees and Essenes e.t.c.

The Christians claim to have one God, one Jesus, one Bible, yet there are different denominations with conflicting doctrines. e.g. there are just too many to name

The Muslims claim to have one Allah, Mohammed , one Koran...yet there are different sects e.g.Sunni, Shi'ites (these two hate themselves bitterly) e.t.c.

The founders of these movements didn't have a religion they used to communicate with the Eternal Creator at the peak of their powers and they had a message/instructions to pass across...HOWEVER, confused and or greedy followers made a religion out of these messages and with the passage of time inserted a few lies into these messages to birth their doctrines

Religion paints the Eternal Creator as a FRAUD...but enlightenment helps you to better understand the ways of the Eternal Creator.

Atheism and Agnosticism was a critical path in my journey towards enlightenment and TRUTH. I'm happy atheists and agnostics have seen the scam in religion.

Now I am praying and hoping it does not stop there, but these atheists and agnostics would be fully enlightened. These ones stand a better chance to be "born-again" than the confused people practicing religion all their lives...

Freeze isn't a Christian. How do I know?

He occasionally insinuates that Christianity isn't the only way to God, while he commends what He calls "other religions" like Islam, Buddhism and the likes. The same guy suggests for the abandonment of evangelism. Not forgetting that all his 'sermons' are channelled at criticizing one Christian doctrine or another, without ever reflecting his supposed commitment to Christ in words or deed.


These traits are clearly antichristian. He is only creating the illusion of being a religious person so as to get sympathy from the members of the churches whose leaders he attacks.

It’s a pity that he would lose his credibility with Christians completely if he became an atheist. Pastors would be like “see? we told you that he was an agent of Satan!” I suspect that he won’t allow himself to lose his faith for this reason. I think atheists need to challenge Daddy Freeze publicly and get him to respond to some hard questions about his religion.
