Tecno phones are actually not that well known but are secretly quite good. their integration with mediatek chipsets makes them even better I feel.
akingbadeomoseb: The Infinix Zero 8 is actually really good option and another one would be the Tecno Camon 16 Pro. The latter also has decent specifications and a good Mediatek Helio G70 coupled by strong RAM
I feel that the Realme 7 is not talked about enough, it is such an underrated phone! love the huge battery and the mediatek SoC. Camera quality is also pretty good in this phone.
AdamsOyifi: I'm currently looking for the Realme 7, if you have pls call this number 08087047589
The Realme 7 smartphone comes with a huge 5,000 mAh battery. I think it should easily last you for more than one day with normal usage and one day with heavy usage. It is good for gaming too as it comes with a mediatek helio G95 chipset.
Obascoetubi: wHAT IS BATTERY MAH OR REALME 7? HOW LONG IT LAST IN HEAVY USAGE?
Looks like a good quality and well made smartphone. The internal specs are good too. I like the look of the oppo reno5 F. helio G95 is a pretty apt processor to use here.
henry007: Oppo Reno 5F 'Fantastic Purple' Unboxing and Review.
The Oppo Reno5 F is sort of like the fan edition of the Reno5 Series in the sense that it carries the Reno name but doesn't boast of the same premium build quality. Plastic has its advantages for long term users but it is cheaper to source, than glass and metal. The Reno5 F however packs the super fast VOOC 4.0 Charging that takes it to 100% under 1 hour and a sleek design, that we first saw on the Oppo A93. Asides the single punch hole cut-out of the Oppo Reno 5F, it is quite hard to tell it apart in the user experience from the Oppo A93, especially after Android 11 update has been pushed to it.
They both spot the 6.43" AMOLED display, Mediatek Helio P95 CPU, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage, 48MP Primary Camera e.t.c. I think it offers slightly better value for money than the Oppo A93.
See some screenshots below for samples of Reno5 F's Camera.
Yes the Infinix Zero 8 is a good option for the budget mentioned here. the camera setup of this phone is so good! 64MP cam along with a good mediatek processor is a nice combo.
jizzison: With your budget just go for the following:
Samsung S9+ (used)
Samsung a70
Xiaomi Redmi note 9s or note 9 pro
Infinix Zero 8
Tecno Camon 16 premier
Or my ultimate recommendation, wait for Xiaomi Redmi note 10 series to enter 9ja (You can Google the specs and features)
If you can't wait, you can pick any of the above 6.
Hmm the infinix zero 8 looks pretty good with its nice cameras and mediatek processor. It's also really good for gaming purposes and everyday use. Nice.
The accessories (Follow come earpiece, charger and phone cover) are all intact with the carton, Phone is in perfect condition without any crack and damage.
Nice review brother! Infinix has really cool phones. The Hot 10 Play looks sleek with a huge batter plus a solid mediatek SoC. Looks like a nice phone, overall.
horizontheoni: Almost 6 months after the release of the Infinix Hot 10 and 10 lite, Infinix launched a brand-new device in the Hot 10 series, Infinix Hot 10 Play featuring a bigger and better battery performance with a massive 6000mAh battery enhanced by Power Marathon Tech which they say is supposed to deliver long battery endurance. Infinix Hot 10 Play also features the MediaTek Helio G25 processor, a 6.82 IPS display, XOS 7.0 based on Android 10 GO.
Let's watch how this reviewer nailed the amazing features of the Infinix Hot 10 Play after using it for 2weeks!!!
Yes the tecno camon 16 pro is pretty good. I Really like how it looks with its 64MP camera and solid mediatek processor.
akingbadeomoseb: Tecno Camon 16 Pro is pretty great. I haven't seen a lot of people taking about it but it's an underrated smartphone with solid performance. The integrated Mediatek Helio G70 gaming chipset is a great fit
Realme and Oppo seem to be going for a lot of mediatek dimensity chipsets. With a huge battery, fast refresh rate and the dimensity 1200 chipset, it will be a solid entrant into the market.
codykos: Realme introduced the GT Neo today with a Dimensity 1200 chipset, but it wasn’t the only phone on the stage - we also saw the launch of the Realme V13 5G. This new affordable midranger has some specs to get enthusiastic about - a big 5,000mAh battery, 90Hz refresh rate and ample storage for the class.
The chipset of the Realme V13 5G is Dimensity 700 - an SoC, built on the 7nm process technology, and having two CPU cores running at 2.2 GHz (the other six are at 1.8 GHz). It is coupled with 8GB RAM and either 128GB or 256GB storage. On top of that, there is also a dedicated microSD slot.
The Realme V13 5G has four circles on its camera island but only three actual shooters. These are a 48 MP f/1.8 main shooter with a 6P lens in front, as well as a couple of low-res units - B&W sensor and a macro shooter. There is one camera on the front, inside a punch hole, and it has an 8MP sensor.
Speaking of the screen, it is a 6.5” LCD with Full HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate.
The battery of the Realme V13 5G comes with 18W fast charging through the USB-C port on the bottom, and Realme will provide the required brick in the box. Other highlights include Realme UI 2.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and dual 5G capabilities over SA/NSA networks. The Realme V13 5G comes in Black and Blue colors. Depending on the storage, it costs either CNY1,599 ($245) or CNY1,799 ($275) and first pre-orders have just begun, while the flash sale will commence on Saturday, April 2.
I'm pretty sure that mediatek will not restrict the dimensity 1200 chipset just to china. They will release it globally as it is their best and most powerful chipset.
genius43: Dimensity 1200+ is the latest and highest MTK Chipset.
And MTK restricted their top chipsets to China alone so it is no one's fault that they are making stu.pid business decisions
Yeah this phone looks really nice with the 16MP triple rear cameras, a big screen and the powerful dimensity 720 5G processor. I like that it comes with up to 256GB storage and has 8 GB RAM. Good specs list.
naijatechguide: Oppo A73 5G parades a decent and amazing body coupled with an impressive camera setup.
Oppo A73 5G Features 6.5 inches IPS LCD Display, 1080 x 2400 pixels, 20:9 ratio (~405 ppi) Android 10, ColorOS 7.2 Octa-core MediaTek MT6853V Dimensity 720 5G (7 nm) 8GB RAM 128GB Built-in Storage up to 256GB Memory 16 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP Triple Rear Cameras
Infinix has come out with some really nice but affordable phones lately. the infinix note 8 especially is a good looking phone. I love the big battery and helio G80 processor that they have used here. A good combo.
I believe the 64MP camera of the infinix zero 8 looks so good. love the helio G90T processor as well. overall, it seems like a good phone which is not too expensive. it's just right.
yes it is very fast because it has a fast refresh rate. also the mediatek helio G80 processor used is pretty good. battery life is awesome too.
bigdot1759: Just got my infinix note 8i Very superb & fast enough for light user like me, battery last me 2day, & camera is cool Got it at solat, iwo-road @ #69k
quite good because it comes with a huge battery, fast refresh rate and a really nice mediatek helio G80 processor. quite good for gaming etc. the 4GB RAM version costs ₦ 69,895.
Horyeh: How good is the infinix note 8i and what's the price?
yes the screen is big but i feel it is good for gaming because the graphics look better on a big screen and also because of the mediatek helio processor. battery life is good for gaming as well.
pablobellins: just got the infinix hot 10; anyone here currently using? and share ur experience... so far mine has bn superb. except for the fact that it's screen is too big, can't really handle it while gaming.
tecno camon 16 pro has some pretty good features I believe. the camera quality is sharp and clear plus the mediatek helio G70 chipset is optimized for gaming and other stuff

If you're looking for a new affordable smartphone with good specs, Realme has two new phones for you, and they might have an edge on the competition.
These new phones are the Realme 7 and 7 Pro, two phones which have been out in India for a short while but have just been launched internationally. We'll run you through their specs so you can tell if they're for you.
In the UK, the Realme 7 starts at £179 (around $230 / AU$320) for 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (though there are other combinations available) while the Realme 7 Pro costs £279 (roughly $360 / AU$500).
We don't know about Australian or US availability for the phones yet, and since the company is pretty new to the west, it's hard to even know what the likelihood of that is.
At those prices, the two phones compete mainly with the Xiaomi Redmi and Moto G ranges of smartphones, but as you'll see, the new Realme handsets have a few impressive specs to get the edge on that competition.
The Realme 7 has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display, and unlike most affordable phones it has a 90Hz refresh rate, making motion displayed look smooth. There's also a punch-hole cut-out in the top left of the screen.
The phone has four rear cameras - a 48MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP black-and-white snapper - the version of the phone previously shown off in some regions actually had a 64MP main camera, but if you're just using your phone for social media snaps you shouldn't mind the drop in megapixels.
The Realme 7 uses the MediaTek Helio P95 chipset, which is a mid-range processor optimized for gaming, and it comes with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on which version you opt for.
There's also a 5,000mAh battery which can be charged up at 30W - Realme says this will power up the phone to full in 65 minutes.
The Realme 7 Pro is slightly more premium than the standard Realme 7 in most, but not all, ways.
The handset has a 6.4-inch screen, so smaller than its non-Pro sibling, but it uses Super AMOLED tech for punchier colors. It's also got a 60Hz refresh rate, which is lower than the 90Hz of the standard Realme 7. It's got the same resolution though, at 1080 x 2400.
The Realme 7 Pro has a slightly upgraded camera array compared to its sibling - there's a 64MP main, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and 2MP black-and-white snapper. There's also a 32MP selfie camera on the front.
In terms of internals, there's a Snapdragon 720G chipset here, which will likely return better benchmark scores than the MediaTek one, though we'll need to test them both to see. That's joined by 8GB of RAM - there's only one sizing option available.
The battery is 4,500mAh, so smaller than the Realme 7, but it supports speedy 65W charging, which Realme says will fully charge the phone in 34 minutes.
yes it really is. realme has come out with some really solid budget phones lately and I think the realme 7 is a good one when it comes to handling big tasks and gaming. helio G95 chipset helps with that I guess.
bennyefosa19: yea the realme 7 is good for its price. i like the big 5,000 mAh battery and the 48MP camera. the mediatek helio G95 processor is pretty good for this phone.
I agree. The mediatek helio G95 chipset that it uses is top-notch when it comes to handling very duty gaming on an affordable smartphone. looks pretty sleek with the design as well.
samueloyem19: The Realme 7 is a pretty good smartphone especially I would say if you love to play mobile games like fortnite, standoff and PUBG. The integrated Mediatek Helio G95 gives very good gaming support
the infinix zero 8 is definitely better with its big 4,500 mAh battery, huge 6.85-inch screen, 8GB ram and mediatek helio G90T processor. good phone 4 overall daily use and multitasking.
talktalk4u: Welcome to the gaming world... Ever since i left Xiaomi to buy this zero 8 my gaming expirence upgraded . Infinix has improved ..i no lie
Ps ; Get ready for xiaomi fan boys with their lie lie bad mouth
i agree with the praise for oppo reno 3. it has really solid features plus quite a nice camera. the helio P90 chipset is decent too.
akingbadeomoseb: I think the Oppo Reno 3 will be a good one for a budget price. I think you should consider buying that phone. It has good features and strong specs with a decent mediatek processor
You can get the Infinix note 8. there is 6GB RAM, 128Gb storage, mediatek helio G80 processor and 5,200 mAh phone battery and punch hole selfie camera. perfect if u ask me.
MaDaRa01: Hello phone gurus in the house, help me choose between those four phones or if there's better ones that pass that criteria below( 80k budget)
4-6Gb Ram 64-128gb Rom 5000+ mAh with fast charging Helio G80 processer or better (gaming) No water drop notch (punch hole preferable)
yes true. i really like the 64mp camera and the mediatek processor used in the Infinix note 8. works really well.
akingbadeomoseb: The Infinix Note 8 is a solid smartphone and gives so many features for its price. It is powered by the Helio G80 gaming processor from Mediatek which I have used before and it's great
while the dimensity 1000 and higher chipsets are really good and powerful and i do believe the dimensity 800U is also a pretty good 5G chipset especially for gaming purposes. realme has come out with a couple of smartphones featuring the dimensity 800U and they work quite well.
SD 665 is better than Helio G85 in real-life performance, despite the latter boasting lot more Antutu Benchmark scores.
I'm yet to be convinced that Mediatek is up for some real competition. The new Dimensity 800u can't even handle a lot of games without lag. Even COD is locked at medium graphics with it, although I agree optimization is yet to be made.
Still, I'd pick Snapdragon over Meditatek anyday. Only HELIO G90T and Dimensity 1000 impress me.
