Delivery within Lagos for my documents since Friday and I’m yet to get it on Tuesday afternoon . What a pointless waste of money . Was there proof that he got salaries monthly from his business on the personal account he attached? I think all he just did was to show deposit without stating what does deposits are for and why? He needs to be well detailed about his salary account to justify the said amount shown that he earns. My 2 cents. falilatu: Cc Tutu82 @Tutu82 Cc giselle237 @gisselle237 Good day
Please help me look at this and advice appropriately. He wants to reapply. What document do u feel he should attach to proof the business generates his income His refusal is reattached again |

You are so onpoint... If you have the means to pay your tuition fee at least 75% from 9ja pls do. It makes life easy for you. The humbling part is so true, but you will always get consolation in the fact that you are getting the pounds (that's if you are not used). It's always not a good start but with dedication and focus it's achievable. It's better if you are married like you said. Your partner will be able to work unlimited hours and makes things a bit easy for you. On schooling and working I feel its more about planning. Once you plan your school and work life you will be better for it. johnsonpal: Hi guys, Today makes it exactly my 2 months in the UK. Here are MY honest opinions. Please note te I'm not anyway discouraging anyone from coming o, In fact, come and see yourself.
I think the UK is a little overrated, yes, there is stable light and whatnot, yes, this is an advanced country, the system works, but honestly, I don't know how to explain this in detail, Let just say I am not that impressed
Most of us are coming via school so here
School:
School is no joke here, especially if you are coming for masters, The Assignment doesn't stop. It will most likely take soo much work to be able to work part-time and come out with a very good grade.
Finance : You can not, at least most likely pay your school fee or balance while working part-time. I see a lot of people rushing schools with 2k, 1k deposits, and hoping they will pay the almost 95% or so left while working. It's practically impossible. I'm still a JJC but I have been able to work three types of jobs s, Btw, these are the common part jobs(warehouse, cleaning, social care, "hospitality" ). Amazon is currently paying the highest of 11/hr(if you working the night shift ).
So a quick breakdown.
The cheapest school fee is between 9 - 11k (Hull teeside, the Cheapest school I have seen ).let say you pay a max 4k deposit and your school fee is 9,000. You have a balance of 5k to pay right?
You work Amazon 20hrs weekly earning 10.50/hr that is 207/Weekly and 828/Monthly
Expenses: Rent(Depending on location), Transporation, Feeding
Say you can save half of this after monthly expenses, It would take you at least 11 months to save up your school fee balance of 5000 pounds. Side note, Most schools have a payment schedule, some 50% before enrollment, 25 % after 2 months, and 25% middle of your program. For a one-year course. I haven't seen a school that will spread it over 11 months. (might be wrong though )
This simple calculation is for the cheapest of schools and some form of extreme savings. Even though you can work unmetered during holidays, will your school give you that grace?
Schools will report you to the home office(You don't want to have any issues with the homeoffice) if you can't meet up with the school fee schedule, I have 2 guys in my school currently facing this issue. Some schools are nice though, (maybe I will compile a list of such schools later)
My advice: 1. Before you pay that school deposit, Ask questions about their payment plans and schedule. 2. Pay at least 70% of your school fee before leaving Nigeria, the stress that comes with worrying about money here is crazy 3. Get married - yeah if you can ( Your spouse can work unlimited hours while you school, )
Life: People are generally very nice here, don't mistake their nicest and warmth for another thing o. I have a story to share about this later
Clothing: Please get pairs of very comfortable shoes, like the emphasis on very! you will be walking a lot ( Buses wouldn't take you to your doorsteps and Taxis are expensive), well some people are very loaded. For the average person like me so ditch your brogues and heels for trainers. most people here wear trainers anyways. Get warm clothing. it really gets cold and they say it's not even winter yet.
Work: This place will humble you, coming from a corporate background to washing dishes and standing for 10hrs in an amazon warehouse. This has been a very humbling experience for me. Side note: Most temps jobs require you to stand all for hours, see why you need those comfortable shoes.
It's also tempting to work more than 20hrs weekly, but please DON'T!
Again, Please get your finances right, and have a reasonable plan in place. You are practically on your own here, no one cares.
Final note: I don't understand why Nigerians here are cold and unwelcoming(it's only on nairaland I see people going far and beyond). Make friends with the Indians(they are so helpful to one another it makes me jealous) and local if you can
Again, these are my opinions and personal experience, it necessarily might not be others. Good luck |

Thank you for your response. What if you get jobs from recruitment agencies and you are posted to NHS. I feel it should count. Dumebi213: Like I said, as a student you'll most likely get care jobs from recruitment agencies that have agreements with clients to provide temporary care or support workers.
I don't think that link covers such term of employment, anyways you can do more research as this is just my personal opinion. |

It's unfortunate you are in this position. I feel you can just relax your nerves and hold on for 10 years as much as you think its long it will soon be over. Get some other things doing for yourself and after 10 years you feel you still want to visit or school in UK do all you can to state it precisely that you were refused on such grounds but you are not matured and can take better decisions for your self. I wish you the very best in your sojourn in life.. Kaddy102: Help oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I got my refusal letter today and I was banned but the problem is I actually didn’t know about the refusal cause I was a minor about 12 years and my grandma didn’t tell me about the refusal please advice what I can do and how to proceed |

Thanks so much for this information the link is all I need. You are so appreciated. Can you please clarify is it for just NHS work or any care job? Dumebi213: I don't think this applies to those working with recruitment agencies which is where most students work.
Anyways I stand corrected. donogaga: Tier 4 student in the UK. You're no longer restricted under 20hrs work limit anymore, provided you pick up care job.
Our commitment is far beyond securing a Visa but to make you comfortable once you're in the UK by getting and linking you up with a reliable CARE job once you get to the UK.
So the news is as long as you are doing the CARE job, you can now work indefinitely.

Good Evening Everyone..
To all the gurus I appreciate your selfless efforts advicing, solving issues and giving tips to several people who don't have such info. I do APPRECIATE you all.
I heard something and will like to find out how true it is. Its a fact that students have 20hours to work in a week but I heard that if you work with NHS or you do any care job( for social workers or health related students) your employee can file unlimited hours for you.
Has anyone heard of such or is someone currently doing such?
Is it backed up by law? If yes can you share a link to such info.
I will appreciate if all top top guys on here can lend a voice.
Thank you. |

if you were banned, i think you are still banned and it will most likely affect your chances. however, you never can tell, just tell them the whole truth and apologise for your bad deeds, you just might get lucky.

Good Afternoon house,
I need advice please...
Sometimes in 2008 i applied for a program in UK with a falsified information. My names were not written as i normally use it and certificates used were also not genuine. I was refused the visa on grounds of fake documents I appealed and i did not get a favourable decision. In 2010 i applied with my original names and authentic documents i was denied and banned for 10 years they linked my application to the 2008 application.
Now my wife applied for a student visa and my self and the kids are mentioned as dependants her visa was granted and already in Essex. My self and the kids are putting in our application do i need to bring to their attention both refusals?
I hope my past will not affect our chances? |
