Here is a short video clip on IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu on Israeli TV Talking about a Jewsih State and Origin of Igbos.

The Interview details go as follows:

What is your population?

IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu replied by saying that Biafrans (Igbos) are about 70 million people scattered all over the world and those that identify themselves with their Jewish heritage are nearly 50 million.

Do all Igbos Practice Judaism?

The IPOB leader said that a significant number of Biafrans practice Judaism in terms of their prayers and in other areas.

Nnamdi Kanu also said that when Christianity came, the Jewish heritage was suppressed and they were made to feel ashamed of their "roots".

He said luckily, some of the Biafrans maintained the Jewish culture till today as he sited Umuleri village in Anambra state as an example where the Jewish tradition is practised..

The IPOB leader also said all Igbos are Jewish but the problem is the influx of Christianity in Nigeria through colonialism which dampened down the Jewish tradition and shifted the focus from the Old testament to the New Testament. He said the Igbos are the Jews of Africa.

Nnamdi Kanu said that Biafrans want to get back to the way they were before the British came because the way Nigeria was put together is the root cause of the problem.

He also said that IPOB wants an independent Jewish state of Biafra that would be independent of anything to do with Nigeria. He said they want a Jewish state in order to go back to that way of life to worshipping the one and only true God in a Jewish way.

The IPOB leader said that Biafrans won't be flocking to Israel if they are emancipated but would return to Biafra land and remain there.

He also spoke about his arrest and also being locked away for 19 months for demanding for independence.

Fashion / 6 Best Watches For 2018. See Top Smartwatches And Fitness Trackers by hassan4: 6:23pm On Sep 01, 2018
You can always rely on the IFA tech expo for a plethora of new hardware announcements, and IFA 2018 has been no different – and in among the laptops, TVs, smart speakers and other devices, we’ve seen plenty of wearables make a debut in Berlin this year.

To help you work out which of these new products might be worth a place on your wrist, we’ve put together our pick for the best wearable of IFA 2018.

You’ll find that below, and if you’re in the market for a new smartwatch or fitness tracker you’re in the right place.

These are the very best smartwatches you can buy today

1. Garmin Vivosmart 4

The Apple Watches and Fitbits might grab most of the headlines but Garmin has quietly become one of the most reliable wearable makers out there – you can usually rely on the company to push out devices that work well and look good.

The latest in the Garmin line is the Vivosmart 4, now with added blood oxygen saturation measurements for a more detailed look at your health (it’s particularly useful for sleep tracking, Garmin says).

There’s also a new “body battery” feature that combines readings to assess your energy levels and tell you when you’re too tired to exercise (for us that’s most of the time), plus all the usual tracking options covering walking, running, sleep, swimming and much more.

The can be yours for $129.99 / £119.99 / AU$199. Your color options are berry with a gold bezel, powder grey with a rose gold bezel, azure blue with a silver bezel, or black with a slate bezel.
2. Casio Pro Trek Smart WSD F30

Speaking of hardware makers with a strong wearable pedigree behind them, Casio is back with the Pro Trek Smart WSD F30, which looks to be its best smartwatch yet.

There are two main reasons to pick it up: its mapping capabilities and its tough and rugged exterior. This is a watch for the great outdoors, able to survive the worst conditions and get you home safely long after your phone battery has died (the maps work offline too).

It comes with the latest version of Google’s Wear OS on board, so you get all of the smartphone notifications and Google Assistant functionality you could want, and it even tells the time too.

Casio says you’ll be able to get a day and a half of use between charges, and you can find out more by reading through our hands on from IFA. As yet we don’t have any release date or pricing information from Casio, but this is one to watch out for.
3. Sony Fes Watch U

In a market where a lot of wearables look similar, raise a glass to the Sony Fes Watch U, which stands out through its use of e-Paper technology for the screen rather than the traditional LCD or OLED displays.

The e-Paper extends around the strap too, and what that means is you get complete control over the design of your watch (as long as you don’t want to use any color). There are 100 designs included, but you can easily make your own.

There are some drawbacks here, with no support for third-party apps and Sony’s own wearable software, which isn’t as intuitive as Wear OS or watchOS. Considering how innovative it is though, we’d say it’s still in credit – see our IFA hands on for more.

You’d better start saving if you want to buy this – it’s going to cost you from £529 (about $690). It goes on sale in the UK, Italy, France, Germany and Spain to begin with.
4. Skagen Falster 2

Don’t worry if you missed out on the Skagen Falster because the sequel is here and it’s packed with many more features – it’s ideal for those who want a smartwatch that looks the part but also has a lot of functionality to explore too.

That functionality covers heart rate monitoring, NFC (for mobile payments), and on-board GPS so you can find your way home or track the route of your morning jog even when you don’t have your phone with you.

It’s waterproof too, ready for the shower or the swimming pool, and two of the buttons are programmable so you can set them up to launch whatever apps or functions you want.

Wear OS is running everything, so you get all the usual Google Assistant tricks and smartphone notifications. We’re not sure exactly when this is going to go on sale yet, but the starting price is pegged at $275 (about £210) – check out our hands on for more.
5. Diesel On Full Guard 2.5

The Diesel On Full Guard 2.5 says: you like chunky smartwatches, and you’re not worried about who knows about it. This is a wearable that adds some serious heft to your wrist.

In return for that extra weight you get a ton of functions and features: NFC so you can pay contactless with a tap, heart rate monitoring, and integrated GPS. Diesel says the watch can last for a couple of days from a single charge which is fine by us.

We also know Wear OS is on board, Google’s mature mobile operating system for the wrist. You’ll be able to call up Google Assistant, get directions, read your texts and more with the Diesel On Full Guard 2.5.

For the time being we don’t know how much this is going to cost but Diesel says it’s going to go on sale in October. Get ready – if you think your wrist can take it.
6. Fitbit Charge 3

Lastly an honorable mention for the Fitbit Charge 3, which was actually announced before IFA got underway but is still technically one of the products officially unveiled in Berlin.

You know what you’re getting with a Fitbit device – lots of tracking, top-notch software, and a wearable that’s going to last. The Charge 3 ups the ante with a screen that’s bigger and more touch-friendly than the Charge 2.

Add in advanced tracking for just about any kind of activity – including swimming and sleeping – plus notifications from your phone and even app support, and you’ve got a fitness tracker that’s almost a smartwatch.

You can get your order in now with shipping in October: the band costs from $149.95 / £129.99 / AU$229.95, and comes in a variety of colors and with a variety of straps. You can get a taste of what to expect with our hands on.

The 3D ‘microbatteries’ that could power ultra-low energy wearables

Phones / Iphone XS Release Date, Price, News And Rumors by hassan4: 5:56pm On Sep 01, 2018
New iPhone XS leaks give us our first official-looking photo (below) of Apple’s iPhone for 2018, and it comes in two sizes if you’re hoping for an iPhone XS Plus this year.

The familiar 5.8-inch iPhone XS and monster-sized 6.5-inch iPhone XS Plus have been rumored for months, but this convincing leak from 9to5Mac is the first time we’re seeing the new phones with OLED screens close up.

iPhone XS

iPhone XS (top) and iPhone XS Plus (bottom), both in gold (Photo Credit: 9to5Mac)

This critical leak comes less than two weeks before Apple is expected to a announce its new smartphones at the Steve Jobs Theater on Wednesday, September 12. We’ll be there to report on it all live.

We’re actually anticipating three new iPhones in 2018: the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Plus, and a ‘cheaper’ 6.1-inch iPhone with an LCD screen. That last one may simply be called ‘iPhone’.

Previously, iPhone rumors called these phones the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Plus, and the cheaper iPhone 9. That’s all going to change if the newest report is correct.
iPhone XS release date

Wednesday, September 12 – iPhone XS launch event date
Friday, September 14 – iPhone XS pre-order (estimated)
Friday, September 21 or 28 – (likely) iPhone XS release date

The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus launch and release date will likely happen all within September, and we have some specifics for you – finally.

Wednesday, September 12 is when Apple’s is poised to announce the iPhone XS at its ‘Special Event’ for 2018, and there will be a live stream of this launch event.

We’ll get our first glimpse (and hands-on time) of the phones at the Steve Jobs Theater at Apple Park in San Jose, California – and yes, that’s where the iPhone X was launched last year on the same exact date.

This launch event date means the actual iPhone XS release date is likely to be Friday, September 21, or Friday, September 28. Apple typically launches new iPhones on a Friday, one to two weeks after CEO Tim Cook unveils everything on stage. We’re betting on September 21 if Apple doesn’t have inventory issues.

Here’s another date: September 14. That’s when, at midnight in your country, you can expect iPhone XS preorders to begin. This thing will sell out fast, and we predict the new 6.5-inch iPhone XS Plus size will be a big seller. In the US, pre-orders will start at 3am Eastern simply because Apple launches preorders at midnight Pacific, its home time zone.

Keep in mind that the iPhone X came out on Friday, November 3, 2017. This is going to cause some people, especially in the US, a problem when trying to upgrade on a year-long plan. However, Apple and carriers may announce a solution on September 12, with incentivized iPhone trade-in options. There’re not going to turn down your desire to give them more money over the next year.
iPhone XS price

iPhone XS price estimate: $1,000 (£1,000, AU$1,579)
iPhone XS Plus price estimate $1,199 (£1,199, AU$1,714)
Cheapest iPhone 2018 may cost $699 (£699, AU$1,079)

The iPhone XS price may be $999 (£999, AU$1,579), inheriting the iPhone X 64GB price tag, while the iPhone XS Plus will undoubtedly be more expensive. Apple likes to tack on $100, so this could be the first iPhone that costs $1,199 (£1,199, AU$1,714) or more. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 goes all the way up to $1,250 (£1,099 / AU$1,799 / AED 4,599) for the 512GB version, so Apple may see this and think ‘why not?’

There have been rumors that not all iPhone 2018 models will ship in September – the cheaper LCD 6.1-inch iPhone may slip to October. The price of this LCD iPhone is said to be around the price of the iPhone 8, which launched at $699 (£699, AU$1,079).
New iPhone XS color: gold

iPhone XS and XS Plus in gold (new), black and white
6.1-inch iPhone LCD in white, black, red, blue and orange

The iPhone XS photo depicts two phones, and both appear to be in the new gold color that’s been rumored for several weeks. We’re expecting the new iPhones to have three color options: gold, white, and black.

Surprise: we’ve actually seen a gold iPhone in 2018, but that was an iPhone X that Apple is said to have canceled at some point prior to the iPhone launch last year. It showed up in some government regulatory filings, so we have a good idea of what a gold iPhone XS will look like.

Besides the Plus size and the fresh color choice, you won’t instantly notice other differences between the iPhone XS and the current iPhone X. It’s expected to have an identical stainless steel frame, while the cheaper iPhone for 2018 may have a aluminum frame, like the current iPhone 8, and it may come it as many as five colors: white, black, red, blue and orange.
iPhone XS size and design

iPhone XS may be the same width and height as the iPhone X
iPhone XS Plus may match (or be smaller than) the iPhone 8 Plus
Both phones may be thicker due to camera upgrades

Get ready to use your iPhone with two hands again, because the iPhone XS Plus is going to be a monster phone with a 6.5-inch screen. But it won’t be too big.

Apple has shaved away the needless bezel at the top and bottom (and axed the home button) in the upgrade to the iPhone X. So the screen size is a bit misleading if you’re moving from the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 8 Plus – it’s not a full inch bigger.

A bigger screen, but smaller body for the iPhone 11 Plus? Credit: Forbes / Ghostek

A bigger screen, but smaller body for the iPhone 11 Plus? Credit: Forbes / Ghostek

In fact, the dimensions we’ve seen rumored point to an iPhone XS Plus size that’s either matching or smaller than the 5.5-inch iPhone 8 Plus. One schematic (above) suggests dimensions of 157.2 x 77.1mm.

An older rumor puts the iPhone XS Plus at 158.4 x 78.1 x 7.7mm, only 0.2 inches thicker than the iPhone 8 Plus.

The same rumor claims the smaller iPhone XS will be the same size as the iPhone X, except again that it will be slightly thicker. This is thought to be because of a larger rear camera sensor and lens, so expect camera improvements.
iPhone XS specs

Apple A12 chipset likely to provide a speed boost
512GB of storage may be the new max size (and a maxed out price)
Some models may see 4GB of RAM, others may stay at 3GB of RAM

All three new iPhones are thought to have the A12 chip, a natural upgrade on the A11 Bionic chip that appeared in all three of last year’s iPhone models. See the pattern?

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has said the iPhone XI might support faster mobile data speeds and come with a dual-SIM card slot, and 4GB of RAM.

That dual-SIM claim is backed up by lines of code found in the upcoming iOS 12 software update, and it means iPhone users could finally be able to benefit from two SIMs in one phone.

Kuo has also claimed that Apple will probably exclusively use Intel modems for 2018’s models, rather than splitting the order between Intel and Qualcomm.

Apple could launch these three phones this year. Credit: KGI Research/MacRumors

Apple could launch these three phones this year. Credit: KGI Research/MacRumors

We’ve also had other hints at the iPhone XI’s power from a benchmark, which shows an unnamed iPhone as having 4GB of RAM and a 2.49GHz hexa-core chipset.

Apple never details the RAM in its phones, but we could see an upgrade here, too, from 3GB in last year’s iPhone to 4GB in the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus. The company historically leaves one model behind, so we expect 3GB of RAM on the cheapest iPhone. We won’t know this information until someone does a teardown on the release date.

Apple may add to the existing internal storage sizes, giving us 64GB, 256GB, and a new 512GB option for the iPhone XS – that’s bigger than most laptop solid-state hard drives. The cheaper 6.1-inch iPhone may stop short of that, with 64GB and 256GB sizes.
iPhone XS camera

The iPhone XS camera may be a big highlight, but we don’t know much about it. Kuo predicts that both sizes will have a dual-lens rear camera, while the cheaper iPhone (the one with an LCD screen) will be the one with a single-lens rear camera.

Photos from the dual-lens camera are expected to be 12MP, with one telephoto lens and one normal lens, both with optical image stabilization (no change here). The difference may come from the backend software. Samsung, Google, and other Android phone makers have given us cameras that use machine learning to enhance photos, and Apple’s iPhone X camera has fallen behind in our tests, especially in low-light situations.

On the front, all of the new iPhones are undoubtedly going to sport a TrueDepth camera – we know that because none of them will have a Touch ID home button. The last iPhones to use Touch ID will be the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.

We could see more depth-sensing features in the front-facing selfie camera, with a recent Apple patent pointing to a single-lens camera system that has dual-lens-like features. The question is whether this tech will be ready for the iPhone 2018 or iPhone 2019.
iPhone XS and iOS 12

iPhone XS to launch with iOS 12 out of the box
iOS 12 may launch on older iPhones on Tuesday, September 18
Expect features exclusive to the larger iPhone XS

On September 12, in addition to seeing the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Plus, we’re due to find out the official iOS 12 release date. Both phones will run this software.

We know all about iOS 12 thanks to WWDC 2018, but Apple almost always holds onto software surprises – usually ones that have to do with hardware and sensors that would tip off observers about new iPhone models in the works (Animoji was a secret until the iPhone X launch event).

With the introduction of the iPhone XS Plus we could see some exclusive changes that give the larger 6.5-inch phone tablet-like powers. There are some large-screen app interfaces reserved for the iPad, namely Mail and Messages, that give you more information on the screen (like messages threads).
iPhone XS battery

Analysts predict a 10% and 25% larger battery
iPhone XS Plus could go to 3,300mAh or 3,400mAh
Fast charger may finally be included in the box

Your next iPhone may have longer battery life, especially if you opt for the larger 6.5-inch iPhone XS Plus. Ming-Chi Kuo says the battery in that phone will be 25% bigger than the one in the iPhone X.

That puts the 6.5-inch iPhone XS battery capacity at 3,300mAh or 3,400mAh, a sizable increase over the iPhone X (which sits at just 2,716mAh). The 5.8-inch iPhone XS may see a smaller increase of 10%.

Charging your iPhone may be easier too, as iPhone XS leaks suggest Apple will include a fast charger in the box. Right now, this is a separate purchase (and we’ve been using our MacBook Pro charger with a Lightning-to-USB-C cable).

We’ve now heard that more than once, but the latest reports suggest you won’t be able to buy it separately – so if you want Apple’s new fast charger you might have to buy a new iPhone to get it.
Related product: Apple iPhone X
Our Verdict:

The iPhone X is a sensational-looking iPhone – but it obviously comes at a huge cost, and you’ll have to wait to get it. Question marks remain over Face ID as a way of unlocking the phone, but if your face truly does get ‘learned’ over time, it could work well.

Webmasters / How To Setup Wordpress Mail SMTP On Any Web Host by hassan4: 7:36pm On Aug 22, 2018
Do you want to set up WP Mail SMTP on your WordPress site? WP Mail SMTP is the best WordPress SMTP plugin which allows you to easily send WordPress emails using a secure mail transfer protocol or SMTP. In this article, we will show you how to easily set up WP Mail SMTP with any host.

Setting up WP Mail SMTP with any host

What is WP Mail SMTP? Why You Need it to Send WordPress Emails?
WP Mail SMTP is a WordPress plugin which allows you to send WordPress emails using an SMTP server. This ensures that your WordPress emails are delivered using the standard mail protocol.

Once you setup your WordPress site, you may notice that you are not getting any emails from WordPress. This includes WordPress notification emails and emails from your WordPress contact form plugin.

The reason for this is WordPress uses PHP mail() function to send emails. Most WordPress hosting companies do not configure it properly, and some simply disable it to prevent abuse.

The easiest fix for this issue is to use SMTP to send WordPress emails.

SMTP is the secure mail transfer protocol, and it is pretty much the standard way to send emails. It requires you to login to a mail server to send emails which prevents the abuse of the hosting server and improves email deliverability.

Most WordPress hosting companies offer free business email addresses which you can use with your own domain name. We recommend setting up a separate email address for your WordPress website. It can be anything like support@example.com or info@example.com.

Once you have created the email address, you can use it to send WordPress emails. You will still need to tell WordPress how to connect with your mail server.

This is where WP Mail SMTP plugin comes in. It allows you to send WordPress emails via SMTP by entering your SMTP credentials.

WP Mail SMTP is the most popular SMTP solution for WordPress (currently used by over 1 million websites). It’s maintained by the same team as WPForms.

The first thing you need to do is install and activate the WP Mail SMTP plugin. For more details, see our step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Upon activation, you need to visit Settings » WP Mail SMTP page to configure the plugin settings.

WP Mail SMTP Settings

You need to enter your SMTP settings to use WP Mail SMTP. The first part of the settings will be similar regardless of your hosting company. It includes the following settings:

From Email – This is the email address which will be used to send all WordPress emails.
From Name – This name will be used to send emails. We recommend using your website’s title as from name.
Mailer – You need to select ‘Other SMTP’ here as you will be sending emails using your hosts SMTP server
Return Path – Check this box to receive delivery notifications or bounced messages.
Note: If you want to use third-party mailers, then you can follow this guide to send WordPress emails via Gmail SMTP. We also have a similar guide for MailGun SMTP setup.

If you want to continue using your host, then you need to select Other SMTP and enter the SMTP server settings provided by hosting company.

SMTP Host – This is the SMTP host address provided by your hosting company.
Encryption – The encryption method used by your mail server to send emails. Usually it is TLS.
SMTP Port – This is the port used by outgoing mail server.
Auto TLS – This setting should be set to On
Authentication – Needs to be On
SMTP Username – This is usually the email address you are using to send emails
SMTP Password – This is the password for the email account you are using to send emails. We don’t recommend saving SMTP password here. Instead, you nedd to store your password in wp-config.php file.
Other SMTP

These settings are required to connect with any SMTP server. However, their values may differ from one WordPress hosting company to another.

Let’s see how to set up WP Mail SMTP plugin with different hosting companies.

You will notice that Dreamhost doesn’t use your domain name as the mail server. Instead, they use different servers to manage emails, and you will need to find out which one is used by your hosting account.

You can do this by logging into your DreamHost hosting panel and then going to Support » Data Centers page. From here, you need to scroll down to the mail service section.

DreamHost Mail Service

You will find the name of the email cluster under the details column next to your domain name.

Next, you need to visit DreamHost’s email configuration page and scroll down to ‘Where to find your mail hostname (cluster) name’ section. Here you can match your email cluster with the names in the table and copy the outgoing server address next to it.

Setting up WP Mail SMTP with Third-Party Email Services
Some managed WordPress hosting companies do not offer email service as part of their hosting plan. In that case, you will need to use a third-party email service to send WordPress emails using SMTP.

The best way to send WordPress emails using SMTP is by using G Suite(formerly Google Apps for Work). It allows you to create professional business email addresses and use your existing domain name with popular Google apps like Gmail, Calendar, Google Drive, and more.

WP Mail SMTP allows you to easily configure WordPress to use Gmail servers for sending emails. This includes G Suite as well as your regular Gmail account. For detailed instructions, see our step by step guide on how to send WordPress emails using Gmail SMTP server.

You can also use MailGun to send WordPress emails. For details, see this guide on how to send WordPress emails via MailGun.

WP Mail SMTP also allows you to choose SendGrid as your mailer. You will just need to enter your API key which you can find under your SendGrid account.

We hope this article helped you learn how to set up WP Mail SMTP with any host. You may also want to see our guide on why you should never use WordPress to send your Newsletter emails.

Webmasters / How Netflix And Cinemas Are Playing The Innovation Game. by hassan4: 10:33am On Aug 21, 2018
Choose your own adventures… seats that act like roller coasters… VR… these are just some of the ways cinemas, and streaming services such as Netflix, are tempting movie-lovers to sample their wares – and they only have themselves to blame.

The competition between Netflix and the big screen is well documented and fierce. The competition between rival streaming sites is even fiercer, with oodles of money being spent on original programming. This rivalry brings with it a byproduct that – on paper – should be a boon to movie watchers, and that’s innovation.

Netflix’s biggest innovation is actually itself. The all-you-can-eat way of watching movies on a subscription basis wasn’t started by Netflix – that accolade goes to Hong Kong start-up iTV – but Netflix is now the best-known such service.

The funny thing is, Netflix didn’t actually know what to do with its service at the beginning. In what turned out to be a near-disastrous decision, Reed Hastings decided to spin-off the streaming service from what was, at the time, Netflix’s thriving DVD rental-by-post division.

The streaming part was to be called Netflix, the rental part Qwikster. This confused the hell out of everybody and pushed shares down, and the decision was reversed just weeks later. Amid this chaos, however, it became clear the future of Netflix wasn’t in old media, but in the innovation of streaming.

It was just that people weren’t quite ready for it yet.

Do you have a brilliant idea for the next great tech innovation? Enter our Tech Innovation for the Future competition and you could win up to £10,000!

Straight to Netflix

In cinema land, meanwhile, things have actually been relatively stable and, despite the fear that streaming is eating into profits, box-office returns are still very strong. But what works on the big screen is changing. Movies based on original scripts, and with a relatively modest budget, are being shunned in favor of familiar material, whether that be superheroes or Star Wars. Fewer chances are being taken with blockbusters.

We’re seeing much more innovation with lower-budget movies in categories that don’t need huge FX budgets, namely horror. Get Out and Hereditary prove you can have huge success with brilliant, scary stories; IT proved you can have even more success if the name Stephen King is attached.

Original big-budget fare hasn’t disappeared, however, it’s merely shifted to streaming. Annihilation, The Cloverfield Paradox, Bright… these are all Netflix successes that have found a place through streaming.

But that’s not the only link: they’re all sci-fi themed, and the reason why Netflix is going big on sci-fi is because it because it knows its subscribers like it – and that’s because it houses the data of everything its viewers have watched, all the way down to completion rates, and the number of times a movie was paused.

Catering its movie selection to what its viewers want may not sound like an innovation in itself, but the computational power it uses to do this certainly is.

Netflix has been pushing big-budget originals, the kinds of movies that rival what's on the cinema at the moment

Netflix has been pushing big-budget originals, the kinds of movies that rival what’s on the cinema at the moment

But the big screen is fighting back, even if not everything is working. Trying to ape the Netflix subscription system, for example, seems to have met with mixed success on the big screen.

In the UK, Cineworld’s all-you-can-eat subscription model has been deemed a success, but this is because it’s been created by those who own the cinemas. MoviePass in the US tried a similar thing, but it’s had to pare back its (frankly fantastic) all-you-can-eat option, until it’s hardly worth trying out.
The bigger big screen

We’re seeing the real innovation in the screens themselves, however. IMAX is the poster boy for cinema-going experiences, and many a filmmaker is adopting this format for their movies. Chris Nolan shot Dunkirk in the 70mm IMAX format, and this has sparked a resurgence in making movies for the really big screen.

Couple this with audio innovations such as Dolby Atmos, and there’s a now a real audiovisual draw to encourage people to choose the cinema over watching a movie on a smartphone.

More recently Cineworld has been testing an innovation called ScreenX, where a movie isn’t just projected on a screen in front of view, but on the sides, too. This planetarium-style way of projecting movies feels more gimmick than innovative, but again, it’s something you don’t get in the home.

ScreenX is not one screen but three. We're not sure our eyes can take it

ScreenX is not one screen but three. We’re not sure our eyes can take it

Something you definitely don’t get in the home (although having a two-year-old running around while you’re trying to watch a film sometimes feels like it), is 4DX. This isn’t new as such, but it seems to be growing in stature as a cinema-going ‘experience’.

Another Cineworld invention, the idea here is that you watch a movie by stimulating the five senses. Using special effects such as, artificial wind, fog and rain, you get a sensory experience that reflects what’s on the screen.

Oh, and the seats move. A lot. TechRadar’s Gareth Beavis loved the immersive nature of it, but also it described it as feeling like “you are getting punched in the head”.

4DX allows you to 'get into the action'. Just watch out for those punches

4DX allows you to ‘get into the action’. Just watch out for those punches

Aside from pushing the movie-watching experience to the extreme, many cinemas are now pushing themselves as cultural hubs. Alongside screening movies, there’s now a trend to livestream live theater productions and gigs. The idea is simple: get people in the seats for a relatively cheaper price than the live events themselves, and reach a bigger audience.

Netflix has trialled pushing its content on the big screen – it has a VR app that allows you to watch its movies on a 100-inch screen, in the comfort of your home with a VR headset strapped to your face. Innovation, yes, but it’s already something that feels like gimmickry.

Netflix's VR approach was designed to make it feel like you were watching a movie in your living room – while you were in your living room.

Netflix’s VR approach was designed to make it feel like you were watching a movie in your living room – while you were in your living room.

Where Netflix has found a little more success is with younger audiences, in the form of its ‘choose your own adventure’ shows; using your remote, you can choose where an episode of Puss’n’Boots, for example, goes next. Minecraft is set to get this style of open narrative storytelling as well. It’s one step away from really gamifying Netflix – which is why rumors of Netflix actually offering games in the near future refuse to die.

Picture quality is no game, though, and that’s an area in which Netflix, and its biggest rival, Amazon Prime, are excelling. Both adopted 4K early, and now are adding HDR to the mix wherever they can – that latter technology essentially makes things brighter and clearer, and is arguably more important than the amount of pixels you squeeze onto the screen.

There’s a rumor, however, that Netflix will shift its HDR content – which is currently bundled into the high tier on the service – to an even higher tier, proving that while innovation can be fantastic, it can also be another reason for providers to hike their prices.

Phones / Huawei P20 Pro Review – Amazing Phone! by hassan4: 10:16am On Aug 21, 2018
Huawei is no longer here to simply make up the numbers. No, the Huawei P20 Pro goes toe-to-toe with the very best in the smartphone world.

It’s got a price tag to match, but it’s still cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus and iPhone X – they’re more powerful brands, but the P20 Pro holds it own.

See all Huawei P20 Pro deals

The P20 Pro performs so well that it’s given a pretty high spot in our best smartphone ranking. This in-depth review isn’t based on just a week’s use either – we’ve been using this phone for a month and are still seriously impressed.

For the Huawei P20 Pro’s price you could only get a 64GB iPhone 8 Plus, not an iPhone X, although there are some quirks to the Huawei design and software to get used to in return.

However, the remarkable work done on the camera makes this the most versatile phone photo-shooter out there, regardless of price, whether you’re a happy snapper or an amateur enthusiast photographer.

Watch the P20 Pro in action below as we review the phone’s design and screen:
Huawei P20 Pro price and availability

Launch price: £799, AU$1,099 (around $1,110)
Release date: April 2018

The Huawei P20 Pro price at launch was £799, AU$1,099 (around $1,050), and a few months on from launch that’s still pretty much the case.

We have seen the Huawei P20 Pro price drop to around £749 in the UK, so it can pay to shop around, but it’s still very much at a premium price point.

The P20 Pro didn’t arrive in the US immediately, and it’s still not officially available with a local variant. You can still pick up the international variant of the handset though for just over $800 on the likes of Amazon, but you’ll need to check whether it’s compatible with your carrier.

Webmasters / How To Boost Your SEO Ranking With Robots.txt by hassan4: 3:16am On Aug 17, 2018
Everyone geek loves “hacks” or going under the hood to tweak a few stuffs (especially for a Linux savvy like myself).

It is no secret – I love finding ways to make my life better, easier and fun.

That’s why the technique I’m going to tell you about today is one of my absolute favorites. It’s a legitimate SEO hack that you can start using right away.

It’s a way to increase your SEO by taking advantage of a natural part of every website that rarely gets talked about. It’s not difficult to implement either.

It’s the robots.txt file (also called the robots exclusion protocol or standard).

This teeny tiny text file is part of every website on the Internet, but most people don’t even know about it.

It’s designed to work with search engines, but surprisingly, it’s a source of SEO juice just waiting to be unlocked.

I’ve seen client after client bend over backward trying to enhance their SEO. When I tell them that they can edit a little text file, they almost don’t believe me.

However, there are many methods of enhancing SEO that aren’t difficult or time-consuming, and this is one of them.

You don’t need to have any technical experience to leverage the power of robots.txt. If you can find the source code for your website, you can use this.

So when you’re ready, follow along with me, and I’ll show you exactly how to change up your robots.txt file so that search engines will love it.

Learn how I leveraged SEO to generate an extra 195,013 visitors a month.
Why the robots.txt file is important

First, let’s take a look at why the robots.txt file matters in the first place.

The robots.txt file, also known as the robots exclusion protocol or standard, is a text file that tells web robots (most often search engines) which pages on your site to crawl.

It also tells web robots which pages not to crawl.

Let’s say a search engine is about to visit a site. Before it visits the target page, it will check the robots.txt for instructions.

There are different types of robots.txt files, so let’s look at a few different examples of what they look like.

Webmasters / Best Web Browsers For Surfing The Web In 2018. by hassan4: 8:36am On Aug 09, 2018
The right web browser can make a huge difference to your everyday browsing – whether your priority is faster performance, better security or more flexibility through downloadable extensions.

However, it can be tricky to break out of your comfort zone. The browser you're currently using might not be the best, but you've probably become use to its idiosyncrasies over the years without realizing there are better options around that will make your life so much easier.

Here, we’ve put the biggest browsers through their paces (plus some that you may not be familiar with) to identify the browser that best ticks all of these boxes. And, if you have a particular concern, then read on to see if there’s an alternative that might be better suited to your needs.

Mozilla Firefox

After several years dropping behind the competition in terms of speed, Firefox is back in the game with a fully updated code base
1. Mozilla Firefox

Firefox is back after a total overhaul, and has retaken its crown
Very fast
Light on system resources
Strong privacy tools

Firefox recently received its biggest update in 13 years, and it's so impressive, it's propelled the browser to the top of our list.

Firefox has always been known for its flexibility and support for extensions, but in recent years it had started to lag behind the competition in terms of speed. Firefox Quantum, first released last year, represented a total overhaul of the browser's code base, with speeds now comparable with Google Chrome. That's not just on top-end computers, either – the new Firefox makes frugal use of RAM, even with masses of tabs open.

Firefox also scores serious points when it comes to privacy. Mozilla is non-profit, which means it doesn't have the same impetus to sell your data as some other browser developers. The organization also makes regular updates to help protect its users' privacy as internet companies come under increasing scrutiny over the way they treat people's data.

Quantum also introduced a new system for extensions that prevents rogue developers making malicious changes to the browser's internal code.

It's not always the absolute fastest – for some pages Chrome still has the edge, as Mozilla's own video demonstrates – but the new Firefox has come out swinging and is our pick for the best web browser of 2018 so far.

Google Chrome
Chrome is a superb browser - fast and adaptable - if you aren't bothered by letting Google handle all your online activity
2. Google Chrome

If your system has the resources, Chrome is 2018's best browser
Fast performance
Infinitely expandable
Resource-hungry

With Chrome, Google has built an extendable, efficient browser that deserves its place at the top of the browser rankings. According to w3schools' browser trend analysis its user base is only rising, even as Microsoft Edge's install numbers are presumably growing. Why? Well, it's cross-platform, incredibly stable, brilliantly presented to take up the minimum of screen space, and just about the nicest browser there is to use.

Its wide range of easily-obtained and installed extensions mean you can really make it your own, and there's support for parental controls and a huge range of tweaks and settings to ensure maximum efficiency.

However, Chrome isn’t without its downsides. It’s one of the heaviest browsers in terms of resource use, so it’s not brilliant on machines with limited RAM, and its performance doesn’t quite match up to others as far as bench marking is concerned. And, with Google’s tentacles running through it, you may be uncomfortable with how your browsing data is used.

That said, Google is making some moves towards security, and is pushing HTTPS particularly hard. Future versions of the browser will make it very clear when sites aren't using HTTPS encryption, aiming to make it standard throughout the web.

Like Firefox, Chrome now also supports password-free logins via WebAuthn – either to replace traditional passwords completely, or work as a form of two-factor authentication. The browser also offers more features for web app developers, including more consistent experiences across different VR headsets, and the ability to use input from sensors (such as your device's ambient light sensor and accelerometer).

Opera
Opera is a superb browser with a clean interface and built-in ad-blocker, plus a Turbo mode that makes slow connections more useable
3. Opera

An underrated browser that's a great choice for slow connections
Excellent Turbo mode
Integrated ad-blocker
Fewer plugins than rivals

It's sad that Opera makes up only around 1% of the browser market, because it really is a quality browser. It launches fast, the UI is brilliantly clean, and it does everything its rivals can do with a couple of extras thrown in for good measure.

The key reason we'd at least recommend having Opera installed alongside your main browser is its Opera Turbo feature. This compresses your web traffic, routing it through Opera's servers, which makes a huge difference to browsing speed if you're stuck on rural dial-up or your broadband connection is having a moment.

It reduces the amount of data transferred too, handy if you're using a mobile connection, and this re-routing also dodges any content restrictions your ISP might place on your browsing, which can be mighty handy. Opera automatically ducks out of the way if you're using secure sites like banks so your traffic is free and clear of any potential privacy violation.

There's also an integrated ad-blocker – which can be switched off if you're morally inclined in that direction – and a battery-saving mode which promises to keep your laptop going for longer.

Microsoft Edge
Edge works on all your Windows 10 devices, with sandboxing for security and a special reading mode to isolate the important content on pages

4. Microsoft Edge

Microsoft's new browser offers full integration with Windows 10
Very fast
Built-in reading mode
Not backwards compatible

The default 'browsing experience' on Windows 10, and unavailable for older operating systems, Edge is an odd one. Quite why Microsoft needs to be running a pair of browser products in tandem rather than making Edge backwards compatible is beyond us. The company's reason, it seems, is that Edge represents the more user-friendly end of Redmond's offering while Internet Explorer scales a little better for enterprise.

Integration with Windows 10's core gimmicks seems to be Edge's main strong point. It happily runs as a modern-skinned app on Windows 10's tablet mode, and works with Cortana. It's also highly streamlined for the current web age, doing away with insecure protocols like ActiveX and forcing you into Internet Explorer if you want to use them. We're more used to browsers failing to render newer pages than we are to being told off for visiting older corners of the web.

Curmudgeonly grumbles aside, actually using Edge is a perfectly pleasant experience. It's super-quick, hammers through benchmarks, its integrated reading mode makes complex sites more palatable, and by sandboxing it away from the rest of the operating system Microsoft has ensured that Edge won't suffer the security breaches of its older brother.

It's just a shame that Microsoft is quite so insistent on forcing Edge upon Windows 10 users, making it the default browser for links opened in the Mail app, adding shortcuts to your desktop after major OS updates, and presenting it as a potential result if you start typing 'Firefox' in the Cortana search box.

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Microsoft Internet Explorer is a fast and powerful browser, and makes modest use of your system resources, though it lacks the flexibility of Firefox and Chrome
5. Microsoft Internet Explorer

Fast and efficient, but less expandable than Firefox and Chrome
Make frugal use of resources
Clean design
Poor plugin support

Microsoft Internet Explorer has seen some ups and downs in its long tenure, from dominating the browser charts to languishing behind its main two competitors. This is partly an issue of choice – particularly the browser choice that Microsoft was forced to give customers after a court ruling – and partially because older versions fell behind the rendering and compatibility curve.

There are no such issues with Internet Explorer 11. It's clean, powerful, highly compatible, and it demands less of your RAM and CPU than equivalent pages would on Chrome or Firefox. Plus it one-ups both of them on WebKit's Sunspider benchmark.

That's not to say this browser is perfect. Google's V8 benchmark sees it struggling, and IE isn't quite as able to handle add-ons and extensions as many of its competitors. So while there's no reason to avoid IE like there might once have been, if you're looking for a more customized browsing experience you're out of luck.

Vivaldi
Vivaldi is a relatively new browser that's bound to see more development soon. Its interface is fully customizable, though it doesn't officially support extensions yet
6. Vivaldi

Build your own browser with unique docking and tab-stacking
Incredibly customizable
Creative interface features
Not the fastest

Here's something a bit different. We all spend probably far too much time sitting in front of our web browsers, and up-and-comer Vivaldi wants to make that as pleasant and personal an experience as possible.

The whole style and structure of its interface is entirely up to you. There's a built-in note-taking system, you can dock websites as side panels while using the main window to do your main browsing, and we love its innovative tab stacking tech, which allows you to group up tabs and move them around to avoid the crowding that so often plagues other browsers.

Vivaldi is built on Chromium, which means you can expand it even further with extensions from the Chrome Web Store. Just pick your preferred plugin and click 'Add to Chrome'. Some extensions might behave slightly differently in Vivaldi, but most work perfectly.

Vivaldi is a refreshing and creative take on web browsing, and one to watch in the next couple of years as more features are added.

Tor Browser is a heavily modified version of Firefox that re-routed web traffic via random nodes worldwide
7. Tor Browser

More than just a browser – a whole suite of online security tools
Keeps browsing private
Blocks tracking cookies
Performance is slow

Tor Browser is, perhaps unjustly, most regularly associated with the seedy underworld of the dark web. While it's true that you can use this web browser to access otherwise unlisted sites, Tor's privacy aspects – where your traffic is routed through random nodes the world over, making it very hard to track - are its real asset.

Tor Browser is really a package of tools; Tor itself, a heavily modified version of the Firefox Extended Support release, and a number of other privacy packages that combine to make it the most secure browsing experience you're likely to find. Nothing is tracked, nothing is stored, and you can forget about bookmarks and cookies.

You'll need to alter your browsing habits to ensure that you don't perform actions online that reveal your identity – Tor Browser is just a tool, after all – but for a secondary browser useful for those private moments it's a great choice. Run it from a USB stick and nobody need even know you have it at all.

Phones / Snapchat Gets $250M Investment From Saudi Prince For 2.3% by hassan4: 4:04am On Aug 08, 2018
Snap Inc got a fresh infusion of cash from the Saudi royal family to help it survive despite losing $353 million this quarter. Prince Al-Waleed Talal tweeted a video of him and Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, noting that he’s invested $250 million in exchange for a 2.3 percent stake in Snap Inc. The investment raises questions about what say the Saudis will have in Snapchat’s direction.

Snap declined to comment on the news. But after an initial 11 percent pop after earnings was announced, Snap shares sank to just below the closing price as the user shrinkage and Saudi investment sank in.

Al-Waleed Talal has previously buddied up to the U.S. tech sector, investing in Lyft and Twitter. Elsewhere, he’s recently made investments in European streaming music service Deezer, as well as Chinese ecommerce giant JD.com. He previously owned shared of Newscorp and Citigroup.

The prince had sat down with Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel and COO Imran Khan back in 2015 to discuss a possible investment, but nothing came of it until now. The Arabic press release explains that the deal was done on May 25th. “Our investment in Snapchat is an extension of our strategy for personal investment in new technology through leading companies such as Lyft, JD.com, and social networking sites, Twitter” the release explains. “Snapchat is one of the most innovative social networking platforms in the world and we believe it is just beginning to surpass its true potential.”

Snap could be looking for more allies abroad as it’s seen weak international growth after years of neglecting the developing world and its Android app’s performance. While the Rest Of World region is typically a source of growth for social networks, Snap actually shrank by 1 million daily active users there. The one truly bright point of its earnings report was a 65 percent quarter-over-quarter boost in average revenue per user in the Rest Of World, reaching $0.96. The Saudi royal family’s involvement could potentially pave the way for partnerships or growth opportunities in the Middle East at a time when Snap needs whatever help it can get.

The extra cash will extend Snapchat’s runway and give it more time to stabilize its business. With its daily user count now shrinking, it will have to find creative ways to squeeze more cash out of those that remain to keep revenue growing. That may take time, and Saudi Arabia just gave it more

Computers / New Feature: Gmail For Ios & Android Now Lets You Turn Off Conversation View by hassan4: 3:57am On Aug 08, 2018
When Gmail launched with its threaded conversation view feature as the default and only option, some people sure didn’t like it and Google quickly allowed users to turn it off. On mobile, though, you were stuck with it. But here’s some good news for you conversation view haters: you can now turn it off on mobile, too.

The ability to turn off conversation view is now rolling out to all Gmail app users on iOS and Android . So if you want Gmail to simply show you all emails as they arrive, without grouping them to”make them easier to digest and follow,” you’re now free to do so.

If you’ve always just left conversation view on by default, maybe now is a good time to see if you like the old-school way of looking at your email better. I personally prefer conversation view since it helps me keep track of conversations (and I get too many emails already), but it’s pretty much a personal preference.

To make the change, simply tap on your account name in the Settings menu and look for the “conversation view” check box. That’s it. Peace restored.

Crime / Re: 5 Ways Robots Can Help Solve Security Issues In Nigeria by hassan4: 10:46am On Aug 05, 2018
Technology has advanced and we must grow with it. These are strategic ways to help develop any Nation. Robots were used during Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup too. Very effective.
Crime / 5 Ways Robots Can Help Solve Security Issues In Nigeria by hassan4: 9:27am On Aug 05, 2018
Seeing the growing need for top notch security in the country, Nigeria needs to employ technology and not just Man-power in order to curb the menace of Boko Haram, Fulani Herdsmen and all what not. Here are five tips Gtbens Magazine recommends

Robots in Travel Lounges/Park: For example, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport recently began testing a new use case for robots that provide tips to travelers on getting through security more quickly. The robot, stationed near screening areas, directs passengers to remove their jackets, take off their shoes, remove laptops from bags, etc. This tedious job that TSA agents would otherwise be performing can now be outsourced to a robot, freeing up airport employees to address more complex matters that can enhance security and efficiency. The Sea-Tac example is just one of many that demonstrates how today’s advanced robotic solutions are being used.
2. Artificial Intelligence:

Artificial Intelligence is new to Nigeria and perhaps only deployed during collection of data by Agencies like INEC, NAFDAC and more. Security robots use multiple sensors and bring the information together. Open-platform applications work together seamlessly to collect and analyze data. AI software is embedded to provide security officials with the ability to analyze the images captured by onboard cameras. The information gathered through this and other sensors on the robot is critical to the implementation of a comprehensive strategy and tactical response.

Additionally, through the use of advanced AI technologies, robots can “learn” their surroundings. They are initially programmed to navigate a particular route, but as they continue on this path numerous times, the robot can make adjustments. AI makes this possible by giving the robot the “brains” to engage with its surroundings. This approach has the potential to add significant value to patrols.

AI also makes it possible to recognize patterns within large amounts of collected data. In the case of robotics, this can include automatically searching through video surveillance feeds for anomalies. Security-based AI, however, is narrower in focus, executing certain defined tasks such as object recognition or navigation.

Advanced object recognition is what enables a robot to become a core part of the enterprise security team.

Leveraging this type of AI allows robots to identify when a human or vehicle is approaching a perimeter and then execute a set of procedures in line with an organization’s goals.

3. Function as Guards or work with them:

Yes! Robots can function as Guards to sensitive areas or strategic locations. Innovations in robotics and AI have some security professionals fearful that robots will one day “take over” human responsibilities. That is not the case. In fact, robots and people work best when they work together. With the robot revolution upon us, guarding companies see the value of these solutions and aim to take advantage of their capabilities. There are more than 1 million security guards employed in the United States, according to the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of Labor Statistics, and that number is growing.

The partnership between human and robotic guards creates numerous advantages, including advanced patrolling capabilities and added responsiveness.

Robotics providers are finding ways to seamlessly integrate their technology with guarding companies by offering additional ways to collect information and send it back to an organization’s security operations center.

Some of the largest guarding companies in the United States recognize the value of robotics in decreasing the number of “dangerous” roles assigned to people, reducing liability and potential accidents.

For example, it would be costly, and perhaps unreasonable, to post a person at a utility site that is hundreds of miles away from a corporate facility. However, a robotic guard would be a perfect fit. There are also some toxic waste dumps where protection is needed, but a human presence is best avoided.

Robots can also be useful in more mundane jobs, such as working a late-night shift performing perimeter checks several times each hour. Redistributing such monotonous work frees human security guards to take on more strategic tasks, and saves employers health care, labor and insurance costs.

4. Used for Aerial Surveillance: Robots like drones and more can be used to capture images during the day and at night which is sent to any satellite it is programmed to and also transmit other relevant information during such operations. The bright side to this is, if ever there is need for quick response or a counter attack, this is an effective way of dealing with the situation without much casualty. If nothing else, hideouts and a trends of the enemy will be revealed.

5. Bomb Detectors: Suicide bombing has never been part of Nigeria’s problem until the advent of Islamic militia like Boko Haram. The far north is home to series of suicide bombing activities and Robots if well stationed at Checkpoints and strategic locations, can detect bombs and defuse them without casualty or minimal casualty. Land mines, suicide bombers and a host of other dangerous attacks can be curtailed if smart robots can be deployed for Military use.

Computers / How To Use Fedora Server To Create A Router / Gateway by hassan4: 2:11am On Aug 05, 2018
Building a router (or gateway) using Fedora Server is an interesting project for users wanting to learn more about Linux system administration and networking. In this article, learn how to configure a Fedora Server minimal install to act as an internet router / gateway.

This guide is based on Fedora 28 and assumes you have already installed Fedora Server (minimal install). Additionally, you require a suitable network card / modem for the incoming internet connection. In this example, the DrayTek VigorNIC 132 NIC was used to create the router.

Why build your own router
There are many benefits for building your own router over buying a standalone box (or using the one supplied by your internet provider):

Easily update and run latest software versions
May be less prone to be part of larger hacking campaign as its not a common consumer device
Run your own VMs or containers on same host/router
Build OpenShift on top of router (future story in this series)
Include your own VPN, Tor, or other tunnel paths along with correct routing
The downside is related to time and knowledge.

You have to manage your own security
You need to have the knowledge to troubleshoot if an issue happens or find it through the web (no support calls)
Costs more in most cases than hardware provided by an internet provider
Basic network topology

The diagram below describes the basic topology used in this setup. The machine running Fedora Server has a PCI Express modem for VDSL. Alternatively, if you use a Raspberry Pi with external modem the configuration is mostly similar.

Technology Market / Re: Boeing Steps In To Help The Manufacturer Of The World’s Biggest Plane by hassan4: 11:31pm On Jul 28, 2018
Caseless:
Can't believe that giant air machine was built in Ukraine.

It is what it is bro! Soviet Union was indeed a Power house in technology. Only reason Ukraine is dealing with Boeing is because of it's feud with mother Russia.
Technology Market / Boeing Steps In To Help The Manufacturer Of The World’s Biggest Plane by hassan4: 9:04am On Jul 28, 2018
Boeing stepped in to rescue the Ukrainian plane maker Antonov, known for producing the world's largest aircraft.

The firm had ceased production because of its heavy reliance on Russian imports, which had collapsed after Moscow's annexation of Crimea in 2014.

But, Boeing's parts, equipment and services unit, Aviall, is set to now provide the components and Antonov plans to build eight aircraft a year from the end of next year. The deal, which was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow, was confirmed to CNBC via email on Friday.
President of Antonov, Oleksandr Donets, told Reuters in an interview that the next step is to build a storage facility with Aviall.

"This warehouse will deal with products, materials, metals, non-metals — with all components we are not able to get from our former partner, the Russian Federation," he said.

Donets added that the warehouse would be funded by the Boeing subsidiary.

Antonov builds a range of passenger, cargo and transport aircraft. The latest under development is the An-132, a twin-engined turboprop used for military transportation which is being jointly developed with Saudi Arabia.

Still the biggest

In 1988, Antonov completed what is still the world's largest "heavier than air" aircraft to be used as part of the Soviet space shuttle program.
The An-225 Mriya is powered by six turbofan engines and is also the heaviest aircraft ever built, with a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tons. It also has the largest wingspan of any aircraft in operational service.

It was the only example ever completed as Russia's economy struggled badly through the 1990s, forcing the end of the country's attempts to fly a manned space shuttle.
