Benjaniblinks:
Windows ain't releasing windows 11.

Check again...Microsoft will release Windows 11 on July 29, 2020, and will be available to the general public. Windows 11 update option will be enabled for end users.
Computers / Things To Expect From Windows 11 by hassan4: 7:23pm On Jan 09, 2020
Microsoft is about launching it’s latest Windows operating system this year (2020), and there is a lot of anticipation as to what features to expect and what services will be continued or discontinued.

We at Gtbens Magazine take a close look at what everyone should expect from Windows 11.

Radical reworking of the user interface:

I doubt that 100%. Windows 11 is a soft deployment of Windows 8, the word stress is soft. Microsoft will try to harm this update as little as possible. I believe that there will be no noticeable changes, and nothing aggressive.

Deeper integration with bing:

I believe that is true. Microsoft continues to work with Bing and I think that Windows 11 will not be an exception. There will be many opportunities in the next version of Microsoft Windows to integrate search into the OS.

Deeper integration with Azure for cloud storage:

I hope that Microsoft will continue pushing to use Azure for cloud storage. Microsoft, by the way, can integrate parts of the OS into cloud documents / file storage.

Advanced Power Management:

This is already expected. Microsoft did an excellent job with Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 with power management. Microsoft is expected to make the OS more efficient in newer versions of Windows.

Improved gesture integration:

It will be relevant if Microsoft tries to add gesture recognition to Windows 11. I expect the company to go beyond the initial steps taken in Windows 8.1 (especially in the culinary application). Using computer gestures will be great if they can succeed in this.

Improved security:

I expect enhanced security features in Windows 11, including fingerprint recognition. Microsoft did an excellent job of security, continuing to block Windows with every major release.

Only 64 bits?

This is a long legend. Over the past 6 years, we have made assumptions that Microsoft will switch to an exclusively 64 bit system. I doubt this will happen in this release. Once again I draw your attention to the fact that this will not be a controversial issue, but as smooth as possible, without problems and experiences. At least Microsoft has to hope so.

That’s all there is at the moment, I will continue to update this page as new information becomes available.

Crime / See How Much Fine Drivers Pay If Detected By Cameras In New South Wales by hassan4: 12:09pm On Dec 19, 2019
Mobile phone detection cameras have captured 3,303 New South Wales drivers in a single week of operation.

That represented less than 0.5% of the 773,532 vehicles checked by the new cameras in various locations across the state in the first week of December.

The roads minister, Andrew Constance, said those caught between now and March would receive a warning letter, but after that would be liable to a $344 fine, or $457 in a school zone, and five demerit points.

“At 60km/h if you look at your phone while driving for just two seconds, you travel 33 metres blind – it’s dangerous, it’s stupid and it needs to stop, Constance said.

“Around 500 drivers a day are getting pinged by these cameras doing the wrong thing. With double demerits starting Friday we need drivers to get the message and get off the phone, otherwise they risk killing themselves or someone innocent on our roads.”

A trial of a smaller number of cameras between January and June caught more than 100,000 drivers out of 8.5 million checked, just over 1%.

The government has estimated that the cameras could prevent about 100 fatal and serious crashes over five years.

Legislation to support the use of the cameras still has not passed the New South Wales parliament.

A committee examining the legislation reported in November that the cameras could lead to tens of thousands of court cases because of the sheer number of vehicles being checked (135m a year). If even 3% of drivers caught were to challenge the penalty, it would lead to 72,000 cases a year.

The legislation would reverse the onus of proof, requiring drivers to prove on the balance of probabilities the object in their hand in the photo was not a mobile phone.

The system will cost $88m over the forward estimates to operate.

Sports / Brescia President And Mario Balotelli In Fresh Racism War by hassan4: 8:52pm On Nov 25, 2019
Brescia insist Massimo Cellino's controversial 'black' remark about Mario Balotelli was just wordplay as the President refuses to apologise.

Cellino claimed Balotelli was “feeling gloomy” when asked about the striker after he was dropped for Brescia's 3-0 defeat to Roma on Sunday.

However, the Sardinian's use of the word ‘nero’, which can be translated to 'black' as well as 'gloomy', sparked controversy.

The club has since released a statement claiming that Cellino was only "joking" and had sought to "protect the player".

“Concerning the comments made this afternoon by President Massimo Cellino, referring to our player Mario Balotelli, Brescia Calcio state that it was a joke, where the paradox was clear," it read.

"[It was] blatanly misunderstood and made in an attempt to defuse the media exposure and protect the player.”

ANSA then pressed Cellino on whether he stood by his remarks.

“If you write all the rubbish I say, I’ll tell you not to stop writing,” he told the news agency.

“I don’t have to clear my name with regards to something I don’t believe in.

“Do you know what the tragic thing is? You [journalists] don’t know what the hell to write.

“If I clarify to those who have asked me to make clarifications, I’ll do even more damage. Good people know me.”

It is also possible the 63-year-old was trying to say 'inc***ato nero', which is a common expletive in italian.

Sports / Nigerian Footballer Scammed By A Greedy Soccer Agent by hassan4: 5:07pm On Oct 16, 2019
https://castgist.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26588

A Nigerian footballer has returned home from Mongolia following an ordeal that saw him scammed by a shady agent who promised a glittering sports career that never materialised.

Moshood Afolabi, 24, arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos on Saturday, a day after he left Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.

Afolabi was trapped in Mongolia for 16 months.

After his football contract was abruptly cancelled in August last year, he was left in the country with $150 and overstayed his tourist visa.

The situation made it impossible to secure work, get his travel documents in order or afford a flight home.

"Im very happy to have gained freedom leaving Mongolia," he told Al Jazeera. "I didnt believe Id be in Nigeria on Saturday. I didnt believe it. Now, Im experiencing so many things in Nigeria. Fresh air, fresh food. Im really happy."

In August, Al Jazeera reported on his plight and that of many other aspiring African footballers who are now stranded in several countries, duped by people posing as agents who tricked them into paying significant sums, ostensibly to travel and play for foreign clubs.

In Afolabis case, a Nigerian man who lived near his home in Osogbo, in the southwestern Nigerian state of Osun, spun him a tale, took his savings and sent him to play for local Mongolian club Western Khovd FC.

But the job did not last beyond his tourist visa and he quickly fell into serious financial and personal problems.

Christopher Hannah, a Scottish businessman who had lived in Mongolia for six months, read and empathised with Afolabis story.

"I had come across Moshood two weeks before I contacted him. I saw the article on Al Jazeera and at the time I was in Scotland," Hannah told Al Jazeera.

"I flew back to Mongolia and I saw it posted again on a forum and I remember someone was asking, Why doesnt someone help this guy?"

Hannah, who was at the time working on setting up a cashmere business in the East Asian country, had experience in the football industry and a passion for the sport.

He was previously an image rights agent for several European football clubs and footballers.

"Football is one of the best ways to break communication or culture barriers. This was the main reason Moshood and I could come together," he said.

After the Nigerian footballer spent a week detained by the Mongolian immigration service in late September, Hannah booked and paid for Afolabis $900 flight home, while Afolabis friend Wael, an Egyptian immigrant, gave him the $750 he needed to pay for overstaying his visa.

"I felt sad because I hadnt experienced it in my life to be in a detention room for seven days," said Afolabi. "For the first three days in detention, I was drinking water, fasting and praying to Almighty Allah to save me."

Hannah said that his life in Mongolia took a turn for the worse after he helped Afolabi, claiming he was treated with hostility by locals and was eventually denied a business visa extension.

He has now returned to his native Scotland and is in the process of opening a new football agency focusing on regions such as Africa.

Up to thousands of scammed African footballers

It is not clear exactly how many hopeful African players are stranded across the world but according to some estimates, the number is in the thousands.

In 2017, there was an influx of more than 100 African talents to Nepal, a south Asian country known least for football.

British media reported that an estimated 15,000 players are trafficked to Europe annually.

In Russia, there are dozens of cases.

Beverley Agbakoba Onyejianya, a Nigerian sports lawyer, said being deported could impact a players mental health.

"Being deported may leave a footballer being stigmatised and even anxious about their future opportunities and ability to earn a good income," she said. "The players career may or may not be affected depending on how they work to find new opportunities."

Back at home and reflecting on his journey, Afolabi says he will continue to play his beloved sport.

"Football is my passion," he said. "I want to use football to help my family and other people that do not have the means. I believe ill make it in football and I want to continue."

Sports / Report: Former Juventus Coach, Max Allegri To Manchester United 'very Close' by hassan4: 4:57pm On Oct 16, 2019
Source: https://castgist.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=26587

Former Juventus boss Max Allegri is reportedly “very close” to Manchester United - and both Emre Can and Mario Mandzukic could follow him.

According to Tuttosport, negotiations have “intensified” between United and Allegri, who stands to earn a bigger salary than the €7.5m he received at Juve.

The newspaper adds there could be a domino effect as the track “remains wide open” between Mandzukic and the Red Devils.

The Croat would also not be the only player the Coach is targeting for his Old Trafford revolution.

That is because, as per Tuttosport, Old Trafford has emerged as the “most attractive option” for Emre Can.

The midfielder was left out of the Old Lady’s Champions League squad and has gone public with his unhappiness in recent weeks.

He is no stranger to English football, having previously played for Liverpool.

However, it is warned United will have to get a deal done for Allegri quickly as Tottenham Hotspur have too “showed up” with an interest in his services.

Developments are expected in the next “week or two”, when the ex-Milan man will have to decide whether to rescue one of their seasons or see out his sabbatical.

Webmasters / 10 Ways To Promote Your Business With Facebook by hassan4: 1:37am On Aug 06, 2019
https://gtbensmagazine.com/2019/08/06/10-ways-to-promote-your-business-with-facebook/

Facebook is by far the most active social media website and perhaps the most interactive too. If you have a business that needs promotion or awareness then Facebook suits your needs.

Here are ten easy steps or procedures to follow which will guide you to having a successful Brand/Business presence online.

1. Create a personal business presence using a fan page. One of the major strengths of social media marketing is its ability to create relationships between businesses and their audiences. The person-to-person interaction that can happen on social media makes consumers feel that they have encountered a brand in a meaningful way and that they now have a special connection with that company. So imagine how much this feeling is intensified when that consumer is interacting not just with “the brand,” but with the person behind that brand!

Depending on your personal social media habits, you may or may not already have a personal Facebook account. If you do, and you prefer to keep your personal profile private, Facebook will allow you to create a page for your public, professional persona, as well. Otherwise, you can use your personal profile to interact with consumers. Gain a following by engaging with the people who frequent your brand’s page.

2. Run Ads and Promotions Regularly. While it’s true that your company’s Facebook posts most likely won’t show up in your audience’s news feeds without paying to promote them, that doesn’t mean that you should stop posting them on your brand’s page. Get as much followers as possible running Ads. People today often use Facebook as a search engine to find out more about a company, whether that means basic info like contact information and hours of operation, or what customers have to say about them. A robust, active page that’s full of regular posts and lots of audience engagement is a great way to showcase the fact that your customers aren’t just satisfied – they’re enthusiastic!

Here’s our own company page below and see the number of followers

3. Join Facebook groups. While most people think of LinkedIn first when they think online networking, Facebook groups actually offer a similar opportunity for professionals. There are any number of Facebook groups dedicated to various industries, professions, and interests. You can use your personal account to join groups of colleagues, as well as groups where your target audience is likely to be found.

The more you contribute to the conversations taking place in these groups, the more your name will become recognized – and synonymous with industry leadership and expertise. The only thing to watch out for here is never to come across as salesy in your discussions – the quickest way to turn off this potential stream of leads and connections is to start promoting your business instead of offering genuine advice and thoughts.

You can customize your search for groups based on various keywords – and Facebook also makes suggestions, based on your profile. Here are some groups Facebook has to offer in the field of “Leadership:”

4. Create your own group. Can’t find a Facebook group that really fits what you’re looking for? Create your own! You can add members, publish articles, carry on discussions, and probably meet quite a few prospects. The fact that you own the group and control the conversations automatically grants you industry leadership status in the eyes of your members, which can only help when they realize they need the product or service you provide.

5. List your events. Hosting a webinar or speaking somewhere? Create an event page and invite friends and people in the groups you’re in. You can even see how many RSVP and get feedback from attendees.

6. Syndicate your blog. If you know that you won’t remember or be able to find the time to share your company’s blog posts on your Facebook page or profile each week, you can automate the task. There are many different online tools you can use to do this, from simple plugins for WordPress to suites of digital marketing software, that will automatically post each new blog post to your Facebook page for you. More Exposure = More Traffic = More Leads.

7. Ask your network to share blog posts. Speaking of posting your company’s blog posts on your personal page or profile, you should also ask your team of employees and partners, your current customers, and even your personal friends and family to share your company’s posts on their personal Facebook profiles, as well.

“Cross-pollination means incorporating every single resource your company has into your marketing strategy, allowing each to inform your use of the others. With each one of these typically untapped resources contributing to the mix, you create something new and powerful from the synergy, and your marketing momentum grows dramatically as a result.”

By tapping into the reach that personal profiles can still achieve with their posts, you can get your content out to new audiences – for free!

8. Reach out! Are you a fan or admirer of someone’s work? Reach out to them on Facebook! Many people check their Facebook messages more regularly than their email. They are also more likely to respond to Facebook messages. Don’t feel comfortable sending out a message to someone you don’t know? No worries! Leave them an “I enjoy your work!” blurb on their wall. When posting on different pages make sure you post as your business and not your personal account.

9. Stream live video with Facebook Live. The intimacy and immediacy of live video create the sense for your viewers that they are getting a behind-the-scenes peek at the real you – as well as enticing them to stick around to watch much longer than they would a regular video, because of the unpredictability of live video.

10. Create a community. Perhaps Facebook’s greatest benefit is that it allows you to create a community. It provides you a group of people who are constantly connected to you, and are open to hearing your message. Engage with people authentically, whether that means writing on their walls, responding to their comments on your own, conversing in groups, or introducing people to each other. Before you know it, you’ll have created a community of friends who look favorably on you and your business – and all for free.

As you can see, Facebook marketing may be pay-to-play these days, but it’s also still about making connections, developing relationships, and sharing your wisdom with others. You just have to know the right strategies in order to be able to continue to do so for free.

Zenit St Petersburg fans petition club to sack black players and demand all-white heterosexual team

A group of Zenit St Petersburg supporters, who could face Premier League opposition in the Europa League in February, have called for all non-European and “sexual minorities” to be barred from playing for the club.
The Russian club’s manager, Luciano Spalletti, has distanced himself from the group, who published an open letter on its website called “Selection Manifesto 12” in which it demanded certain "principles for selection" and preferred criteria for future signings.yc
A gn r
Zenit are the only top flight Russian club to have never signed an African player, although Spalletti quickly expressed his support for multi-racial teams.

"We object to representatives of sexual minorities playing for Zenit,” said the letter published on Landscrona.ru.

"We are not racists and for us, the lack of black players at Zenit is only an important tradition, which emphasises the identity of the club and nothing more.

“Zenit has its own identity in the world of football, along with a number of football clubs that have retained their own identity.

Advocaat: Zenit fans are racist 03 May 2008
"As the most northern club of the major European cities, we have never been associated with Africa, South America or Oceania.

"We have absolutely nothing against the people of these and any other continent. But now black players are being imposed on Zenit almost by force.”

The letter went on to say they would only accept players from other Slav nations like Ukraine and Belarus, as well as those from the Baltic states and Scandinavia.

Although he did not make any reference to the letter, Spalletti responded with a swift rejection of their proposals on the club’s official website.

"Tolerance for me is the ability to understand and accept differences,” he said. “Furthermore, being tolerant means that you fight against any kind of stupidity.

"I can personally assure you that I will do everything I can to help those who seek to explain what tolerance is, and the need to respect other cultures and traditions.

"The team has gathered players from different countries and ethnic groups who work together to achieve a common goal. Their combined efforts bring tangible results."

In 2008 former manager Dick Advocaat admitted that signing black players was an option not available to him due to the fierce opposition he would face from Zenit fans.

"I would be happy to sign anyone, but the fans don't like black players," said the former Holland coach. "Quite honestly, I do not understand how they could pay so much attention to skin colour."
