iamawara: guy hope u enjoying sokoto state, how is harmmattan? And i know u are also enjoying the 15hrs or 20hrs light in Wamakko I think i am. I'm also enjoying the cold breeze. I dont just like the heat that Lagos brings. I'm sha grateful to be in camp now than in April or May, because when you imagine the number of bunk and corpers in a room, you're looking at a deadly heat likely to cause disease/skin infection. > Electricity here is dope. I guess u were here before. |

NwaChibuzor: Its very normal for the thread to be dull during times like this. PCM's are always busy with registration and the camp drills won't even give u the time to post anything. Compare the way the thread was bubbling before orientation to the way it is now. In the next few days, people will start showing up again. Happy camping you all and stay safe. To the guys pls play safe. I remember impregnating a girl during my own camping days. Its was one hot chick who sells stuff at mami. I gave her 5k to abort the pregnancy but incase she didn't, my child should be about 7 yrs of age wherever he is now. Aunty Chiamaka incase you are reading this, I still love you. OMG! This is savage |

It's not it. It was spelled clearly that there were 2 options. It's not as if i didnt pay though. Before i collected it, i paid 1k. I opted not to pay because i wanted to complete my clearance on campus. The only thing i didnt see coming was the certificate. Whether you paid or didnt pay, everyone still had to come to school to collect that certificate. |

No Ibadan. i came in from Lagos on Tuesday night... when i realized i couldnt get the call-up on friday, i opted not to stay on campus, so i went to I.B. > Please keep me posted here on events at your end. i just hope the call-up will come on Monday because the man at the office in charge of nysc matters was trying to be a little negative about the whole thing. He was even saying monday or tuesday. |

Camillus92: Hi, I later paid and checked it but I fall into stream 2, and you also do because they can't process your application without Your call up number, so you are in stream 2 because the system can't proceed without your call up number so have no fear but try to pay before January ending. Ok. But when i went to the school to collect on friday, they said nysc havnt brought it, and that i should check on Monday. Is there a chance i might be in stream 1 when i get it? |

cybermike: Congratulations to all all you prospective corp members Hello bro... I opted to come to my school to collect the call-up rather than paying, because i wasnt done with my clearance. When i went to collect the physical call-up (yesterday), i was told it wasnt ready, i.e. Nysc hasnt sent it...and that I have to check back on Monday. Someone has said i should pay it now and see if i'm in stream 1. Question: Is it advisable to still pay now after not paying for a long time? Or wouldnt it be just cool to wait & collect the call-up from the school directly? Thanks |

iamawara: Wow. Sorry for the lost bro. May their Soul rest in peace amen.
Ever since I was born here, we'hv never heard of curfew or what ever. Once it's 12:00 am peeps don enter house to sleep, once it's 10:30-11 you see police and other security agencies taking position to take over the night for us. It's a peaceful state bro. And the last part u mentioned 'opportunity" you know Sokoto is not an industrial State honestly, most Corpers will just come and go ni, but I don't know the kind of job u kinda want sha naaa, not job. Just to experience the North West |

NYSC › Re: Prospective NYSC 2017 Batch B Corps Members by hausadreturn(m): 9:34am On Oct 29, 2017 |
iamawara: That's a nice choice. Sokoto is the most peaceful state Nigeria. Security of life and property is guaranteed, cost of living is ok, BUT no much social activities honestly, if u are the type that like partying sokoto is not for you, not that they don't allow social activities, but not everyone have the time for that, if you have ur own spare time u can go ahead and do it , the local government areas are ok in terms of electricity, good roads, water etc, transportation fee is also good, no place in Sokoto that u will pay N200 transport fair. Very few of the local government areas are far away from the state capital, and not less than 100km drive away from d capital. We welcome everyone in respect of ur tribe, religion and culture..... What else do u want to know about Sokoto? Thank you very much. I think you've said it all. Light and water....very basic. But then, i can imagine Sokoto being a peaceful state or the most peaceful state in Nigeria. I lived in Damaturu, Yobe state, and i must say (after living in Lagos, UNN campus & staying @ Onitsha) that it was the most peaceful state in Nigeria. I walk around as late as 2am, and sometimes sef, the luxury bus from Onitsha can stop us as early as 4:15am, and despite the total darkness plus luggage being carried, i still walk straight to my house without even looking back for caution. Nobody even cares who the hell you are or where the hell you're going or coming from. Then it happened...Nov. 4, 2011. Lickety split, i lost a friend and 2 (dads) of a classmate and another friend. It was a day in Damaturu residents will never forget . I have not gone to the North ever since. Even my friends parents that have houses that 3 different people will be begging to build 3 houses in Lagos, had to sell them off and relocate. Subsequently they started all these 6am to 4pm, 6am to 6pm and 6am to 9pm curfew. These are things i dont know in my life. Going to a school like OAU didnt help matters. There you can walk around from 6am till the next morning. I didnt see myself living a curfew life...my mama go just get heart-attack. Some of my friends have returned though, back to school (Fedpodam, and Yobe State Uni.,), while others have returned to business. But it's a bye-bye to the North-East till further notice. Make i taste North-West. Seat of the Caliphate things. I hope i get that opportunity. |
