A lot of people here only know about jumia and konga when you talk about online shopping.

And some people are even afraid of being cheated.
It means these people cannot do oversea online shopping from Chinese and american stores.

You need to be able to develop trust in the seller before placing an order, if you can't trust the seller, then online shopping is not for you because you will need to pay for the product upfront before it is shipped to you.

And trust me, you tend to get the best deals online (I am not talking about Nigerian stores!)

I'm sure that the management didn't put 10 people in the rooms meant for just 4 people. Blame the students who accommodate squatters, floaters and others. The hostel accommodation might not be enough for students but other schools that are charging 10k, 15k, 20k are not any better than OAU in terms of maintenance and adequate rooms.

If OAU students pay that amount for accomodation, how come other schools pay much more than that?
does it mean federal universities allocation vary from school to school?

in UI, accomodation is 14k, excluding hostel dues which most times sums up to 20k.

the deputy VC of OAU even said it doesnt affect the school financially, that means they can afford the expenses.

so why are other schools like UI and UNIBEN quite different?

This was what I paid from 1995 to 2001. Maintenance fee was first introduced in my 200 level and we fought against it then and it was reverted. I sincerely thought it would have been increased by now. 2590 naira is definitely not sustainable in this day and age anymore.

If that didn't happen last year, is it this year that JAMB upgraded again that it will happen?

In as much as I wouldn't like to be rude, please don't mind this person. If the Nigeria factor did not raise its ugly head while you prepared for the exam, wrote the exam, passed, and the result released with good news, it will never, I repeat, never raise its ugly head in your getting the admission.

This is the way people discourage others on doing the right thing, but encourage them on the reverse.

Thank God you acknowledge that God is the one that made it a success for you(by blessing your efforts). Psalm 138:8(GNT) will say "You(Lord) will do everything you have promised; Lord, your love is eternal. Complete the work that you have begun". So, prepare well for the post-UTME while committing everything into God's hand, and your name is already on the admission list.

I believe the Boko Haram strategists are employing a form of Guerrilla warfare called Hit-and-run in addition with Attrition warfare. Basically they involve this:

Hit-and-run tactics is a tactical doctrine where the purpose of the combat involved is not to seize control of territory, but to inflict damage on a target and immediately exit the area to avoid the enemy's defense and/or retaliation. Such raids can also expose enemy defensive weaknesses and achieve a psychological effect on the enemy's morale

Attrition warfare is a military strategy consisting of belligerent attempts to win a war by wearing down the enemy to the point of collapse through continuous losses in personnel and material.

Now how to deal with such a guerrilla force:

When dealing with insurgents on a tactical level, the 3 F's must be followed. Find them. Fix them. Finish them.

Find them. By whatever means necessary. Use all intelligence resources to find them. Invite them to attack you. Finding them is key.

Fix them. Restrict their mobility through use of cordons, blocking forces, artillery fires, etc. The insurgents must not be allowed to escape.

Finish them. The easy part. Self explanatory. Soften with artillery fires and close air support. Use ground troops in at least a 3 on 1 ratio to mop up the rest.

Now for step 3: Finish Them to be successful you need to clear the area of civilian populace and like I explained earlier, due to the large geographic expanse of the sambisa zone you have a lot of civilian population living in various areas. This poses a problem because for the Finish Them step to be complete you need to completely wipe that region with bombs and every heavy military artillery possible. Here lies the problem
