He had the highest in pume, but he didn't get admited cos of subject combination shit.. That was in 2012, ... So those that had abv 300 no jubilate yet o, just pray cos devil na badoo.... .... ehmmmm, i dont think so. I think d reason he wasnt given admission was b'cos he put oau as 2nd choice. It happens that if your combination is wrong, u'll be given admission but given another course. It happened to so many people.

wow, thats great. I have been seeing a lot of people getting low scores in their maths results - 32, 27, 41, 30, 28, etc.
Thank goodness, it's not time to generalise that majority failed mathematics.

what happened to d science students this year? A lot of horrendous scores i've seen - 116, 144, 187, etc. Not withstanding sha i saw a medical student having 323.
Also, in general, why did people do so badly in ''english''? I guess u guys answered it so in a haste

Pls check yourself well...if u know u want to study engineering & u're not grounded in physics/maths...please dont waste your time (or rather start preparing harder now. Afterall u have 5 months).
Same goes for medicine. If u're not grounded in physics/chemistry, it will just be a lost course.

I will like to correct something sir! Concerning the issue of two sitting, no school would accept two different result from different examination bodies.

His two sittings has to been in this form ------>WAEC(may&June) +WAEC(Nov&Dec), or maybe in this form----->NECO (june&july) +Neco(nov&Dec)

It would be satanic If any one believes that the combination of NECO and Waec is a good stand.

prince CEE: admission in Nigeria is somehow creepy, imagine my friend got admission with 188 and 182 in Jamb and putme respectively whereas I that got 242 and 48/100(192) in Jamb and putme did not get admission!

Odunhana: There is what we call a game of luck. You may think it doesn't matter, but i would tell you it matters a lot. How do you say in a situation where a candidate from the west selects a University from the east whose aggregate is 240. But as luck would have it, 244 was the merit cutoff. Whereas some other candidates may just have an aggregate of 238 and get admitted all because of catchment area. Anyone can select a Federal University from any region. But, Let everyone who wants to participate at the UTME 2014 be wise when choosing their choice of institution. Thank GOD some people are putting them through on this thread.

But if for example that candidate had made 244 & above, he/she would have been admitted on merit, irrespective of where he/she comes from.
Thats why a lot of people trust themselves so well that they can put any university & still get admitted.
Its a question of how well can u work.

Well, if NDU is your choice I have to say you got a chance and only God knows how big or small the chance is.

Once u can meet d school cutoffs, catchment or no catchment, u'll get admitted.
Just beat it.

for those going for psychology - remember, u must have biology in your ssce.
some schools also require u choose it for jamb.

u can choose any of them. What is more important is working hard to make d merit list.
Another thing is all those schools....their medicince student's brain dey always dey hot.
Thats where d top scores usually come from.

...and also those who intend writing the same subjects they wrote in jamb for postume should be very careful of d institutions they are choosing.

davidiee: Though this Only one choice of Degree institution may sound uncomfortable to most of us, let's also look at the positive side of it. do to the high number of Jamb applicants yearly. this will reduce much completion of admission spaces in the universities a bit. and will also eliminate the possibility of someone having two admission spaces in the name of double admission. but this only one choice can be tricky especially to the impatient ones. it's better to research the universities you intend to study very well before selecting and also monitor the stats. cos some uni's may not have competition as such this year. one Luv
