Kemo88:
Hello everyone ,
Had my baby in Maryland and the hospital bills alone were over 21k, I felt like I was being over charged compared to the estimate I was given. I started off in labor and by the next day I went in for CS… I stayed for 72hrs. Then I came back after two days on account of high BP and was observed for two days. I have been asked to write a letter saying the bills are more than expected and request that some bills be knocked off. I was also asked to fill a form. But when I looked at the form all I was seeing is financial assistance. When I called them, the man was saying it’s an in-house hospital thing to knock bills off. That it’s not financial assistance. I hope this wouldn’t affect my visa application in the future. I don’t want to have any issues … I don’t know what to do. Should I apply? Please I need advice. I just feel my bills are not fair enough compared to the estimate I was given. but he said the bills have been reviewed and the only way to knock off is it write a letter saying it’s over the estimate. But the form is titled financial assistance. Advice please ?

Hi kemo,
How did you solve this? I’m in a similar situation

For those who went to IOM, Ikeja this week, please are they following the booked time slots or do I need to get there early and queue?
I have a booked time for 12noon, I want to know if to arrive some minutes to 12 or I have to have been there early in the morning, irrespective of the booking.
Also I wasn't given a reference code when I booked as I booked via phone call, will this be an issue?
you can get there around 10

Thank you, but I don't live in Lagos, will I be able to do it same day I booked or next day? Do you think its possible so I can plan before coming please
I don’t think so.

Someone can help you book but my advice is to go there yourself and explain your circumstance.

However, impossible is nothing.

Hello house,

For manual biometrics booking in Lagos. Which is better? Ikeja or V.I

Do I have to go a day before to put down my name? and what document is required?

you can be using your account as much as you want during the 28 days, so far your balance never goes below the required amount for your maintenance and fees balance at any time within that 28days.

so your count is perfectly fine. apply with it.
thank you

I don't think you will have any problem as far as POF is concerned if the maintenance fund is intact. There's nothing wrong if the account is transactional.
thank you

28 days doesn't start counting from the date of the last transaction, 28 days starts counting from when you have your complete required amount.
Thank you

Good evening everyone, for my proof of funds, I plan to use my personal savings account. However, I have been using the account for daily expenditure as I did not take note of the fact that the 28days counts from the date of last transaction. Is there any way round this? As I already booked my flight for 9th of September. I read that a letter from my bank can stand as an evidence (could this work?) please note that the balance never dipped below the amount required for proof of funds
