Owfa hassan, did you do an online application as well? And did they also write AA on your collection slip when you went to check?

Hello Guys,

I am having an issue with UK Skilled Worker visa application.

Biometric was done 21st April 2022

Decision made on 10th May 2022.

Decision letter has been sent.

British Resident Permit is already sent to the desired UK address.

But passport is not yet available for collection. I have visited the UK embassy and TLS contact at VI severally but nothing has changed. They keep saying the passport is not with them.

Ive used paid mails and calls too but to no avail.

Has anyone faced anything like this? WHat else can i do?

Hello everyone,

I've gone through a good number of pages here and i find that in terms of processing speed in Lagos, it seems Festac and Alausa a little bit faster than ikoyi. Please correct me if im wrong.

I would like to renew my passport in the shortest time possible (max one month), from what i've read so far it seems DIY could take a little bit more than a more or less if lucky and in a way im willing to just try it and save cost on doing express but i am not sure whether to go to the Alausa or Festac center.

Can anyone please advise on this, especially if you just did a passport recently (whether DIY or not), I would really appreciate.

Thanks.

Hello people, I want to know if it is better to select Ontario while doing your EE application since I have a sister there or I can still select that I'm interested in all provinces.

Does selecting just one province during your application improve your chances of getting and ITA from a province?

I school in NCI...BE ready to read oooo....as in read!!!!!!!! Cos u will work sooo hard for your marks...I think it because of the standard...

If u are doing MSc in finance and u Even have 2 years finance experience... You will be Grand. There are jobs for u...

While studying....u will get many part time jobs... plenty... Also depending on where you live. .am not sure of part-time finance jobs...but u have to start from somewhere bro.. . from the scratch...

Hope I tried...

Hey Segun, thanks for the heads up! Your reply gave me a wave of optimism!

Chiggsglover:

NCI is beautiful and cool,
The rep is good.
It has better infrastructure than DBS.
Finance is good and vibrant but you'll need your professional certification.

Racism is everywhere in various forms.
For jobs, not that I have experienced this, an Irish stands a better chance than you gunning for the same jobs, this is the major reason we go for courses the typical Irishman cant handle. Irish folks dont also like care jobs, security too. These odd jobs pay better, less stressful. Though they require certification and training to do them
Care jobs provides an opportunity for other full time positions on it's own once you have QQ5
Where will I start career from if I washing plates and cleaning floor.

Thanks for the information. It is much appreciated

This is a nice thread and I've gotten vital information from it. Thanks for creating this thread @chiggsglover

I have a few questions. I dont know if you had talked about it earlier ..I may have missed the page (please refer me to the page if any)

I wanted to know what about the reputation of National college of ireland. What do you think about getting a job in finance field in Ireland after MSC finance at NCI (or Dublin City University) and 2 years work experience in financial services in Nigeria.

What can you say about racism generally as it relates to job seeking etc.

Thanks.

Also, what are the prospects of getting a pet time job while studying ...are there any finance related part time jobs?

Please anyone in Ireland can help paint more colour to this.

Do you think its advisable to use Duolingo or IELTS test indicator (the one you can take at home) for your visa application?

@faithzy @dammydurst

Truth is I am in a dilemma now I probably have a million questions but it's not something I want to bother anyone with. I MAY get a 50% off my tuition fees so I'm just trying to find out if I can hustle this thing out given that I also applied for GOI scholarship.

Dont know if I should just wait for GOI outcome or run this one. Running this one will be difficult for me but i think it's possible sha .. I need 7500eur for fee completion and 10000eur for visa application. All I have is about 4000eur
