Good day everyone, I applied for my study permit with an loa of September as the resumption date but because my visa was delayed I decided to defer to January, as it wasn't more than 150 days I didn't send the new one to IRCC.
My question now is, I plan on going by December would this be an issue for me.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams:
It feels good to be able to share my ppr journey with the nairaland family. I was busy with sending my passport that is y I haven't dropped this sooner, but I'm here now.

I sincerely appreciate all the information and personal experiences shared on this thread. It has indeed helped quite a lot of people including me I owe to this forum Alot as I have profited immensely from it.

I shall be sharing my experience and timeline for my which was successful. please ignore any typographical error as I was literally trembling while typing this. Enough has been said about the preamble and now to main Koko "lol"

as I said in my previous post 1 year no be beans, The journey to Canada started for me in September 2021. But I had no idea about the how to go about it. then a cousin of mine who's also in Canada introduced me to this very informative platform.

I took an IELTS examination in December 2021 and I passed excellently well then I started building up my account "I won't go into much details on building my account cause you don't know who is who on this platform" I was determined to building it for at least 6 months. during this time I applied for an admission at York university for an undergraduate program in software engineering.it literally took a whole month before I got any update from york. then came February 10, I got an admission but to my surprise i was offered an entirely different program to what I had proposed for and the tuition fee was also too much. I was weak but I still had time to regroup my self.

I applied for another admission in March, but this time to 3 different schools including centennial college, George brown college and Humber college. i was offered admission at centennial college then shortly after George brown updated me. I waited a little bit for humber admission but it didn't come on time. I decided i had to go ahead and apply for the study permit with the centennial college LOA on may 14th, 2022. note This is my first application.

Find below the timeline:
Portal GCkey

* Eligibility I'm not really sure about this.
* bvl 12/09/2022
* ppr 20/09/2022

documents submitted include the following

1. College Unconditional Official Letter of Admission
2. Tuition deposit receipt (from the College)
3. Copy of my Birth Certificate
5. Copy of my NECO result
6. Copy of my International Passport Bio data page
7. Copy of my family picture (dad, mum,Siblings and I)
8. Statement of Purpose.
9. Landed property documents in (Deed of assignments and Survey plans)
10. medicals
11. CAC
12. sponsor statement of account (mom)
13. IELTS Examination result
14. Tax clearance certificate
15. affidavit of sponsorship
16. bank reference letter

my application took 4 months and a week, the wait wasn't easy at all. I didn't even send any emails to them.
my application wasn't even close to the best
anytime I come on naira land and see stories of refusal I usually say to my self that "these people that were refused even went extra miles in their application shey Dem go give me like dis" But God came through for me and will also come through for the ones waiting.
I owe alot to this platform, thanks to everyone who played a big role in my journey the 1 year journey has now come to an end.

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 4:58pm On Sep 02, 2022
Wow this is new, what bank is that?
Kehmy:
I initiated the application 4th of July, and it moved to the ADB disbursement reviewer stage, they debited the service charge, waited for a month but did not get debited for tuition, went to the branch, and was told that the transaction was declined from the head office, that they only process applications for bachelors, masters, and PhD. I called the customer care line and got the same response, I have a record of the call.
They did not reject the application on the TRMS portal but left it untreated.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 4:16pm On Aug 31, 2022
Was it stated that they declined it because it's an advanced diploma?
I'm genuinely asking a question here.
Kehmy:
Are you sure?

Mine was already at the disbursement stage before they declined it.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 8:46am On Aug 31, 2022

apeja2017:

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 6:03pm On Aug 28, 2022
I can't really say if you're required to make the payment before deferment, But I already paid all my fees before applying for deferral.
Correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think they will allow deferment without paying the full semester fees.
apeja2017:
Please did they require you to pay the first semester due fee before you could defer?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 5:58pm On Aug 28, 2022
I wish smiley
padie77:
Yes nah, are you already in Canada?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 6:23pm On Aug 27, 2022
I defered from September 6 to January 9, which is not up to 150 days.
So I guess I'm on a safer side
Chocs:
Hi there,

A deferral in your start date shouldn’t affect your study permit application. Although, if the new start date is 150 or more days after the start date in the initial letter of acceptance (LOA) you applied with, you are required to send IRCC the new LOA.

Cheers
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 4:24pm On Aug 27, 2022
I don't understand what you're trying to say, could you please explain better.
Fredba:
You only notify IRCC if your new intake has been more than 150 days after you receive PPR
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 22 by hayoBams: 3:49pm On Aug 27, 2022
Good day everyone,

So I applied for a deferment of my admission at centennial college from September 2022 to January 2023, of which just got approved.
My question now is, do I need to send IRCC my new admission letter or not?.
Note: I've applied for my visa since may 14th.
I'd really appreciate if I can get a response.
