Lovexme:thank u. U in calabar? |
Checked for a thread for meet up and hook ups in calabar but didnt find one so im creating one. this is just a place to network with people in calabar. Making friends etc. Nothing sinister pls. Just give details of urself like this... and lets see what happens Name: Heartibaby sex:femal from: cross river occupation: working professional looking for: friends (male n female) |
I think this is wicked to say the least. Why would u start this thread based on only a rumour? Life is precious please treat it with respect and stop practically wishing pple dead just to gain cheap publicity. Get well soon Gov. Chime. PS: No offence meant. |
I can't place this soup. I'm tempted to think its fisherman soup but if it were it wouldn't have kpomo in it as the ingredients for fisherman soup includes only sea food. It might be what the ibos call "native soup" but I'm not familiar with how to prepare it. |
OmolodMilkman93: tried out ur recipe and it wasnt a bad idea at all. I dnt knw if u re familiar with the Afang soup and the Native soup of the Rivers peopleNice! Good for u. I am very familiar with afang soup and the native soup of the calabar people as I am Cross Riverian. But I don't knw much of the native soup of rivers people. |
@ OP I respect you. Being a muslim you have the choice to simply take another wife but you are rather trying to find a solution to the problem with your wife. It really shows you love her. Ignore all the people saying she is cheating on you, I don't think she is. Just try romancing her, complimenting her and flirting with her and be patient with her, things will change. Please try to work it out. I know its not easy but Remain true to her. It is well. @MrBible do us all a favor will you? Change your username so that by your silly posts you do not give that wonderful holy book a bad name. Thank you. |
I'm all for letting hubby know where you are at all times but I don't think its necessarry to take permission for every step you want to take. The former builds trust and respect and the latter only fear. If u can't reach hubby you can just take a decision and go where you want to go but make sure to tell him about it later. Especially for harmless activities like hanging out with the girls. But as someone here has already said every marriage is personal. My viewpoint may not work for them. Even if the hubby is controlling and she is only doing this out of fear, from the Op's story she doesn't seem to mind. So they are compatible, a good match. He controls and she doesn't mind being controlled. She shouldn't listen to her friends and change because that will only cause problems in her marriage. |

chaircover: There are 2 things here.Good point. The Op's problem may not be the fear of hurting the baby but the fact that he does not find his wife attractive sexually in her pregnant state. He should ask himself what the problem truly is in order to be able to solve the problem. |
I personally never liked the waist bead cos of its negative publicity but tried wearing a couple of them out of curiosity. The effect was amazing. Since the first time my bf caught a glimpse of it by accident he won't stop talking abt hw sexy it makes me look. It accentuates the waist curves and sends an active imagination into overdrive. The fact that a chicken is used as a ritual sacrifice doesn't mean a chicken cannot be eaten at sunday dinner. Bottomline:To some it might be a fetish charm but to me its just a piece of jewellry for adornment. Some pple find it sexy, some don't. |
@ OP the garri drink has me rolling on the floor laughing. 'Drinking garri' is just an expression. When a Nigerian says he drank garri it just means he had it like you would have cereal with cold water, sugar, milk and stuff like that. It's not a meal so to say, its just a quick meal snack. Hope that helps you understand it.Now to your meal. Here's my suggestion. You can make a much easier soup like okro soup. Here's my own personal recipe (sorry im not good with measurements just manage this or google it because usually when we cook down here in Nigeria we just cook with unofficial measurements) INGREDIENTS 1. 8 medium size Pieces of beef or goat meat or chicken 2. Ground crayfish 3. Dry fish and stock fish 4. 5 table spoons of Palm oil 5. A handful of vegetable leaf (locally known as ugwu) or hot leaf 6. Fresh Pepper 7. Salt 8. Seasonin9. 9. Okro METHOD 1. Season and boil meat, dry fish and stock fish tender. 2. Chop Okro ( u may choose to pound it after chopping if you please) 3. pour the palm oil into a dry pot and put in chopped okro after the oil gets hot. 4. Stir for a little (a minute or two) 5. Pour in boiled meat, stock fish and dry fish with broth. Add crayfish and fresh pepper blended to paste. 6. season to taste 7. Cut vegetable leaf into really small pieces and add it to the soup. 8. leave to cook for five more minutes. 9. Your okro soup is ready. Now to the eba. Just pour two cups of garri into a bowl of boiling hot water and allow to sit for a minute. Turn and stir it into a mold. Now serve eba on a seperate plate with your okro soup in a bowl plate. Im sure when you go to buy these ingredients at a local Nigerian food store someone there should be able to answer any further questions you would like to ask. Also you can google the pictures of these food when prepared so that you can have a picture of what you're trying to acheive. I find it really nice and sweet that you are even trying to do this and i know he will appreciate it whether it turns out fantastic or not. Its the thought that counts. Good luck. ![]() |
obowunmi: Clarity: Use of Proper Sentence Structures. Thanks for the remix, although i think she (or he?) meant that the boyfriend who is younger than her happens to be her boss as well. @ OP i think u're male. Your profile says so and the name 'egbe' is a male name so i'm not gonna be giving u any advice on this. |
ezme: This leads to the burning question. How do you love someone you cannot/have not see(n)? Most people would love to argue that they have fallen in love with strangers on social media and the likes. If only most Christians would not take the hypocritical path, most of our relationships with God is actually a monologue. "Most nights I talk to God, but he don't say nothing back" - 50cent.Good question. I can love someone who i interact with everyday whether i have/can or havent/cannot see that person. My relationship with God is certainly not a monologue though for some it may be. Those who do not hear him are those who do not know Him. Just like Jesus said "my sheep hear my voice" Everytime i talk to God, He definitely says something back. |
When you fall in love with someone, the prospect of spending forever with them is appealing. Hence the popular love quotes such as "love you forever and alway" and the likes. As a Christian I love God and the idea of spending eternity with Him and the family of believers whom I love appeals to me. He reveals himself to me in new refreshing ways everyday right now and I expect nothing less in eternity. I don't believe that living for eternity entails giving up all pleasure here on earth. It only entails discipline and commitment which only makes you feel stronger and helps you impact your world more. The pursuit of happiness is a futile pursuit. I don't know whoever pursued happiness and found it. Pursue purpose instead and in fulfilling it you find satisfaction and fulfillment and joy which is better than happiness. |
carefreewannabe: I just love this post so much! Thanks a lot! thanks dear |
I enjoy cooking for my family. It gives me joy n happiness when they eat everything up and are appreciative of it. I look forward to cooking for my hubby. I think since men like food a lot its something intimate u can do to make him happy. But in all fairness to modern women, the responsibilities are too much. Like Chaircover said when a woman is working at a job that takes all her time its difiicult to still have time to do major cooking. And the modern woman has to work cos most times the man is not earning enough money to take care of the family so she has to supplement. |
Thank God for His faithfulness. Hope u're all recovered now. |
obi2012: Wow... I am surprised at some of the comments I am reading..exactly. |
No amount of temptaion justifies sleeping around. The OP's post is just food for thought for judgemental guys. Most of the guys crucifying the Op for this post would gladly and willingly disvirgin a girl they have no intention of marrying or even having a serious relationship with given half the chance. What does that tell you? If truly they wanted to encourage girls to be decent they would advice any virgin they meet to keep their virginity for the right guy and right time. But that's not the case. Virgins are being disvirgined every day. When Jesus saw the woman caught in adultery gave the crowd the authority to stone her to death but 'only those without sin'. And not one of them could! And neither did he. He was the only one in that crowd who was without sin and who could condemn her but he didnt! Ive read comments here were guys have said sluts should be killed before snakes. Smh. How sad. Who gave u the right to judge? I agree that there are some girls who are cheap and materialistic and sleep around. But it is the guys who are sleeping with sluts that do the slut bashing most. That's what the OP is getting at. This is pure hypocrisy and should be stopped difference in sexual makeup of men and women not withstanding. Call a slut a slut but only if you are without sin! Feeling like you have the right to pronounce judgement on a girl cos she's had multiple sex partners (one of which might have been you) is counter productive. It's only love, encouragement and understanding that can turn a loose girl around. None of this slut bashing will. Like i've said before it wouldnt hurt u guys ego too much to accept the truth once in a while. Girls are trying. Its not easy. Kudos once again to Richfella and the few dudes here who actually get this. |
pleep: lol, who told you that guys don't respect a woman who has the strenght of will to resist sex? thats why real men adore virgins....I disagree. Many men don't necessarily respect virgins. They call em frigid and uptight and bla bla bla. A guy who is dating a virgin will not put into the relationship as much as he would to a girl who has got him by his balls. If u doubt me check out all the opinions of guys on marrying virgins even here on NL. The only guys who express desire to marry virgins re the ones who don't deserve them. Men who want virgins because they know the terrible things they have done to people's daughters. Even a guy who marries a virgin will cheat on her with a non virgin. That shows u how much men value it. waiting till marriage and staying faithful after is what i recommend. I don't condone promiscuity but you can't call a person slut just because she is a woman when all she is doing is what you are doing or willing to do given the opportunity. |
The Op's post is not to encourage promiscuity in women but to open men' s eyes to their own hypocrisy. It's amazing the reasoning of some dudes. If a lady sleeps around she's a slut buh if she resists men's advances it's not a strength of will its just because she was naturally made to resist? So if you are a slut u are responsible for that but if you are decent it's no big deal you were naturally made so and u can't get credit for it. There is no excuse for sleeping around in men or women. A man doesn't have a right to call a woman a slut if he's doing (or will do given her opportunities) the same thing she's doing. A slut is simply a woman with the morals of a man. Dudes it wouldn't hurt ur egos too much to accept the bitter truth. @Richfella thanks for having the guts to post this. You get women in a way most men don't. |
