Whether or not we choose to admit it, either due to the changing times or Western influence, a womans "first office" is "the kitchen". Am not saying a woman is a slave or a work tool but some certain "sensitive" positions are meant for men, before you feminists come for my head, take a minute and ponder why even Jesus did not appoint a "woman" as one of the "twelve" official and important disciples??

continue to tell yourself whatever lies makes you feel like a man. Its allowed. High your morale. But as much as i belive that every gender has its role and place no man should send a woman solely to the kitchen office. In an ideal world a woman ought not to work but care for the home and theman ought to provide and protect. How many men make enough money for their families to be financially okay? Just a few. So women now take on the role of a man going out there to make money to provide and still care for children and the home alone. Many men dont know the meaning of protection. Running into the ceiling when armed robbers show up. Do you know that a protector is one who is willing to give his life for those he is protecting. How many men can give their liver or kidney sef to their wives or children? Talkless of life because i know only Chriet can do that. Then a man after selling his birthright and shamelessly benefitting from what his wife provides will now come and say some positions are meant for men. Abeg men if you want to be men do your job so we can get back to doing ours. Being a man is not by shouting im a man. Show working.
P. S my epistle is not targeted at you personally. Just my general thoughts to men generally.

Romance / Re: 10 Types Of Assistant Boyfriends by Heartibaby(f): 4:37pm On Oct 10, 2016
Bekwarra:
There is a set of guys we popularly call assistant boyfriends. Just like the name suggests they are assistants to the real boyfriends. Some people might mistake it for a friend zoned guy but they are different. An assistant boyfriend is the mid-point between the real bobo and the one who has a duplex in friend zone avenue. The type of assistant boyfriend a guy is and the level of smartness will determine whether he becomes the main bobo or the friend-zoned one.
Assistant boyfriends are important to most ladies because they play active and decisive roles to them and like I opined earlier, an assistant boyfriend has a good chance of upgrading to the main guy or downgrading to a friend-zoning. ABF as I will refer to it subsequently is not as good as being the main bobo but it's definitely better than being in friend zone. One thing I want us to note is that many of us have been ABFs at different times. While some of us have ended up as main guys some among us also have become BOT chairmen as friend zone corporation. For others in multiple relationships, you might be a main guy in one and ABF in another.

Here are the 10 types of ABFs from my observations.
1. ABF Finance
He is the Dangote and Bill Gate rolled into one. The real money bag so to say. He's in charge of all her finances. The wicked ladies might want to refer to him as "maga" or "mugu" but that's unfair because bros is only being generous. Whenever she wants to pay her school fees, rent a new apartment, pay her rent that's due or go on a shopping spree, his name is the one that pops up in her head. He's the financier and caters for her financial needs. If he's smart enough he might get more than the hugs and kisses and get to visit Aso Rock Villa but you can never tell with some guys. Dear lady are you feeling broke? Please look for an ABF Finance.

2. ABF Emotional Affairs
He's in charge of emotional matters. He's most susceptible to ending up in a friend zone. He's very close to the lady and also a confidante but that's also his albatross. He's knows everything that goes up in her relationship and acts as the chief adviser. He also advises her on who to date and who not to. You'll always hear things like "Wristbangle see David has started again o, he's no longer picking my calls" or "Tosyne2much can you believe Akin used another girl's picture as his dp?" Or "smellymouth do you know that cute guy in our department? He just asked me out, should I tell him yes? Whenever she has issues with her bf or gets heartbroken, it's the work of the ABF Emotional Affairs to provide emotional support; a shoulder to cry on. In fact some go the extent of having the contact of the main nigga and act as mediators whenever there's a conflict. I was once in this category with a girl but in my own case a shoulder to cry on became a deek to ride on.

3. ABF Religious Affairs
He's the brother in the lord. They are mostly Bro David, Bro Samuel and Bro Joshua. Bros sees her as the one whom God might have chosen for him but she sees him as just her brother in the lord. On campus, he's always coming to share tracts and devotionals with her. They read and study the bible together. They pray together. In fact if she has problems, bros sometimes to join her in fasting or even fast on her behalf. But because of his religious creed, he cannot even ask her out straight up. They are both workers in the fellowship and while Bro John hopes and pray God opens her eyes to see him as her dream husband, sister Rebecca continues going off campus to spend the weekend with Lalasticlal.a the main guy. At home, they know him in her house as the brother who comes every evening to do voice training with sister Hannah and discuss biblical issues with her. They know that every Sunday morning Bro Rasaq must come to their house to remind Sister Balqiz that they will be going for Nasfat prayers that morning.

4. ABF Stomach Infrastructure
Like the name suggests, he's responsible for stomach affairs. She remembers him whenever she goes hungry. He's the one that takes her out for meals, buys her snacks and drinks. Whenever she feels like taking peppersoup and malt on a friday night, his name comes into remembrance. You'll hear things like "and I feel like eating Shawarma oooo. Ok let me call kinglekan" I know many of these guys back on campus then. They are always ready to take the girls out to Tantalizers, Spices to take peppersoup and sminrnoff or to eat Amala Skye bank in Bodija with assorted meat yet they can't buy even one bottle of Satzenbrau for their guys. At the end of it all na ordinary hug u go collect as thank you while she uses the energy given to her buy the food you bought to ride the main nigga to heaven.

5. ABF Repairs and Maintenance
Baba is always the one responsible for repairs and maintenance of household items. If you fall under this category, you know yourself. You are always remembered when her wall socket gets burnt, she wants to change the bulb, her wristwatch suddenly stops working, her laptop needs to be reformatted, her small tiger gen is refusing to start or her extension bo blew off, then you fall under this category. Well December is almost here and she wants to repaint her room, bro go and get some of your clothes you no longer wear, change into them and grab the goddamn paint container and brush abeg.

This is hilarious. As i read through i realized i had an ABF for all the categories u mentioned. No be me send them message o, na dem carry theirself give theirself work. Hahahahahahaha

Btw are u from Bekwarra?

TonyeBarcanista:
PDP ran for election itself in the eyes of the law because our laws don't recognize independent candidacy. The winner of primary is legally assumed to be the candidate/nominee of PDP that is to hold the mandate freely given to the party at the poll. If Supreme Court rules in favor of the challenger, he automatically assume office to complete PDP's mandate.

Again, I cited Abang's ruling on Uche Ogah Vs Ikpeazu.

Uche vs. Ikpeazu is a politically motivated decision delivered by the controversial Justice Abang who thrives on bringing confusion into law. The provision of Section 141 of the Electoral Act is unambiguos. A candidate must have participated in ALL stages of the electoral process in order to be declared the winner. The primaries alone is not all stages. Where the court finds that the candidate who won was not qualified to contest the election, the court will order fresh elections. Uche vs. Ikpeazu is a Fed. High Court decision and does not form binding precedent for the Supreme Court. Where there is inconsistency between persuasive precedent of a lower court and express provision of statute, the provision of statute will prevail.

Ma'am Agi participated in all stages especially the primary. Read the Ogah Vs Ikpeazu....

As long as the court pronounce him the legitimate winner, he will be sworn in.

All stages excluding the election itself? Primaries does not constitute all

TonyeBarcanista:

Not true. PDP won the election, Agi will be declared as legal PDP candidate and Governor of the state. There won't be any election.
The Electoral Act states so. The unfortunate precedent set by the Omehia vs. Amechi's case has since been corrected by the amended electoral act and the supreme court has over ruled itself on it. The law states that for a candidate to be returned as the winner he must go through all the stages of the electikn from primaries to the main election. Agi having not participated in all stages of the election cannot be declared the winner.

There is a court case between Ayade and Joe Agi
Both of them are in PDP
The final verdict is for December 9th and the ruling might go either way,Ayade is ousted and Joe Agi becomes the new governor.
Joe Agi becomes the new govenor? Not at all. The court can only declare Joe Agi the winner of the PDP primaries by disqualifying Ayade. That means fresh elections will take place in CRS with Agi as PDP's candidate.

Dear op, I do exactly what you mean. Like you, I finished school early @21 yrs. I'm 25, working and live alone. I am not rich but I can take care of the few needs I have (as long as I don't get greedy, I'm fine). I didn't play games in school for fear they'd come back to haunt me later. Now, I think I'm ready but I have not been fortunate to be 'toasted '. Only guys who want side chicks. I have this uncanny ability to fall for people who don't want me. I also seem to be a great friend, so I'm told, just not exactly the kind that inspires romance. I have friends both males and females, married and single. Just not that one special person. I get sad about it sometimes. Now, mostly I just ask God to turn it off, to turn this need/craving for something I might never have. I just ask for the meekness to learn to be content.

My dear the timetable of everyone's life is different. Ur post is like the story of my life. I admire young, focused and accomlished women. The man who knows ur worth will come and u will be happy. My dear i understand perfectly how you feel. Ur post sounds like the story of my life. But NL is not the place to get meaningful advice AT ALL. There is a group on facebook called Female In Nigeria (FIN) that will really be helpful to u. I found a particular post there where thousands of Nigerian ladies were advising the younger ones on things they wished they had known before they got married. It was really refreshing to me. If u are interested u can email me ur fb ID so that can add u. U can only be added by a member. But im sure u have hundreds of fb contacts who are members
Many of the ladies there who had married early said they wished they had waited till thier late twenties or early thirties. I was quite surprised and their reasons opened my eyes.

Forget most of the comments people are writing here. They just dont get it. I dont think u are choosy, unserious or a former runs girl as someone here insinuated. I just beleive that everyone's life timetable is different. I too was done with university before i was 21, got a veey good job at 23. I am not perfect but i am not that bad. Have been in only 2 relationships before now, serious church girl, people say im pretty, by God's grace im intelligent, speak well and from a good family. But did marriage come immediately? No. At a point i felt there was something wrong with me. I even had a suitor who seemed perfect but i couldnt love at gun point. It was so bad that my mind will tune out 5 mins into our conversations. I found him that boring. I began to feel guilty, thinking i was passing up a great suitor. But i stood my ground, i cant be bored the rest of my life. I doubled my service to God and refused to be anxious abt marriage. And it happened when i wasnt even thinking abt it or looking for love. Softly someone i had known for a long time (secondary school) came back into my life. We clicked and connected and we are planning marriage. I am same age as u. So my dear i will advise u to get out there, meet people, be nice, be active on social media, pray, trust God and take ur mind off it. It will happen when ure not bothering abt it. I know its hard but force ur mind off it and no matter what dont settle. Its better to marry late than to marry wrong. Pray for God's guidance. There is nothing wrong with u. God bless u.

I don't even know where to start or how to explain what my problem is, hopefully i get lucky for the 'problem' to be 'diagnosed'. I'm a 27yrs old lady, finished university very very early and i've been extremely lucky with almost everything in life, but to get a suitor and settle down na palava. Friends/family members keep saying I'm too choosy or not serious.

Honestly, I AM NOT choosy. When the one thing i fast/pray for is for God to link me with the bone of my bone very soon, I even gave up my travelling plans in order to increase my chances of finding a future patner (i know you can meet ur patner anywhere, but na just to shut up people wey don tink say i no dey serious), a close friend even suggested i pend my 'work-from-home business', look for job so i can be leaving the house, and i got lucky within a month or two of dusting my CV i got a fantastic high paid job with no connection (honestly i've always been so lucky when i ask God for anything but i have no idea why he is delaying this). I just dont know how to explain it, the ones i like doesnt like me and the ones i dont have single feelings for will do anything to wife me. I'm not desperate or something, i just want to reach out if I'm the only one having this problem.

There was even a time i made up my mind to accept an ex proposal even tho i have no single feeling for him, i kept hoping/fasting/praying for a miracle to happen so i can at least like him (even if its 20%) bcus hes just too PERFECT, but it didn't just happen. My type of man doesnt need to be extremely rich, tall, handsome like most ladies dream man. He should just be neat, God fearing and have something upstairs biko (i love intelligent guys). Back to the main reason why i created this post; Married women/mature lady out there, has this ever happen to you? I really envy people that love their partners and they are loved back equally. Married women, please, I'm waiting to hear from you.

And for most people that will think I'm looking for a rich guy, believe me i once met a guy that was willing to sponsor my M.Sc in UK if i can be his Mrs, but i will never engage in anything that will bring curse on my head. So my problem is not even money. I'm so sick and tired

My research was factual and correct.
Anaang people employ fattening rooms. It's even on Anaang wiki page.

The Efiks also have this too. However, I didn't write the title of the photo. The original photographer did. I have no right to tamper with that.

http://www.bubblews.com/posts/fattening-room-used-by-a-nigerian-group-to-gain-weight
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anaang_people#Anaang_fattening_Room

As much as wikipedia tries to be, it isnt always correct. We are telling you the history of these people based on EXPERIENCE and you are talking based on internet RESEARCH. Who do you honestly think is more accurate?

U talked about fattening room in annang and then posted a picture a photographer took of a calabar girl and u are saying u didnt label the picture so its not ur fault? Ah don gerrit. The reason why u cant find an actual picture of an annang girl being fattenend is because the annang people do not have that culture.

U did a good job. Please dont spoil it by refusing to correct these errors. U are misleading people

Nice attempt at history but some of your post are factually incorrect. The Annang people don't have a culture of fattening a lady b4 marriage, the Efiks do.
Also the masqurade shown and tagged Akwa cross isn't correct.
The Annang occupy ikot ekpene part of akwa ibom state.
There is nothing like efik/ibibio. Efik is the purest form of the language, though spoken by minority group; others are variant form of efik.

Thank u. Was going to point that out to the Op but u already have. The picture she tagged as an annang maiden getting fattened is even boldly labelled "Calabar Girl".

And these same ladies are studying Law huh? Do they learn anything aside wearing white and black AND skimpy skirts? Aint they litigation conscious? Atimes i'm worried about courses and people who study them. Its time Nigerian students keyed into what they study and put to practise what they are being taught.

Do you have any idea how much it would cost and how long it would take to see a case like this through to the end?

Do you know that the Nigerian police must be financially mobilized to make an arrest after a complaint has been laid and that financial mobilisation must continue throughout the investigation?

Do you know that UNICAL is a federal university which means most students are from poor and middle class homes who find it difficult to pay fees of about 20k per anum talk less of funding litigation.

Do you know that Prof. Ndifon is a feared cultist? Who the V. C and even the police are afraid of touching? He has been reported countless times to different V. Cs, Ekpke, Asuquo, Ivara Esu and nothing was done.

Do you know that the law and its enforcement are two distinct things? In a judicial system as defective and corrupt as ours we the legal practirioners more than anyone else know how hard it is to get justice.

Please find the answers to these questions and only then can u make an informed comment in this issue.

Ive said it before and i'll say it again. People should refrain from commenting on issues they know nothing about. Ndifon is a very high ranking seadog abi pirate. He gets reported to the school autorities and the police and nothing gets done to him, this is why students are so afraid of him they dont report him. Believe me its easy for you to say cant the students do something bla bla bla becuase you were not there. All the hundreds of students who were his victims are they all stupid and dumb? No! this man had powers protecting him but i thank God power has finally pass power.

To those saying how did they get to his office in the first place, are you kidding me? He would see a girl in the car park and dump his books into your hands and say bring it to my office. he would tear a girl's paper in exam or test and you would have to go sort out the issue. he would paste his exams score and yours will be missing. How will u sort it out? I know that there are a lot of loose girls on campus giving sex for grades but believe me this man's own case is on a higher level.

He is a pervert. so many female students have abandoned their years in school because they could not get out of this man's net. it is infuriating to read insensitive comments here on NL about the issue. Abeg my celebration and jubilation for this monster's downfall will not be cut short by ignorant comments online.

I was in that school on the 24th of August and left on the 26th back to Lagos. Two things I noticed, one, the law students dress decently (generally speaking) with below the knee black skirts and white tops; I met with the said Dean as i needed a favour from him. His body language betrayed a few things that i may not be able to put in writing here.

Interestingly I went back to Calabar this week (Sunday) and came back yesterday. I heard this man had some issues so could not address my request. I managed to see him, but again, his body language still appeared deceptive. I don't trust him a lot now and i see no reason why this girl will be lying against him.

Unfortunately, the girl will lose both ways. She may not be able to prove this rape (circumstantial evidence appears to be strongly against her), She did not shout prior to, in the course of or even after the supposed act (from what the lawyer said), and no other person appeared to have heard this struggle or her screams. When the dust is settled, she will come and face the wrath of the Dean and the other lecturers (those guys act like a cult and protect each other).

Its a pity that this is happening in my alma mata......I am still a malabite for life

You are completely right and i applaud your skills of observation. The man tries to give the impression that he is very upright, above board and nice. He talks well and sounds intelligent and open. But there is a devil lurking inside of him. Only when you have had an enounter with him that you will know this.

One bad thing abt cases like this, even if d Dean is later proved innocent, d accusation alone has permanently dented his image. He might probably loose his job n not get it back even after proved innocent. From what I read, I guess d Dean initiated d sex, but d girl consented n enjoyed herself, THAT'S Y SHE DIDN'T SHOUT WEN SOMEONE KNOCKED. All these Calabar girls sef, she wants to eat her cake n hv it.

I am an alumnus of the faculty of law Unical. Prof. Cyril Osim Ndifon is notorious for this act. Go on facebook and Stella Dimi Kokoko Korkus blog and you will read how everyone is jubilant that he has finally been caught. It was looooooong overdue. Unical Law students dress decently. you cant enter class if you are not wearing a shirt and a skirt below your knees. As a matter of fact Ndifon makes it mandatory for students to wear suits to his class. How indecent can a girl wearing a suit, shirt and Knee length skirt be? Ndifon is a pervert. He takes pride in sleeping with all sorts of women, young, innocent, old, mature, married, unmarried etc. Please disregard what Innocent Ovat is saying. He is just an upcomimg lecturer in the faculty who has failed countless times at elections and is Ndifon's boy.

I watched a movie where a couple was attacked by armed robbers in their home. They put a gun to her husband's head and told the wife that if she doesnt sleep with them, they would put a bullet in his brain. Now even though the woman cried and begged and pleaded with the armed robbers she didnt fight them off phyiscally untill they were each done with her. Why? Because she was faced with loosing something very valuable to her, SHE DID NOT SHOUT. Does that make it any less a rape because she did not shout? In law this is called DURESS and UNDUE INFLUENCE. The presence of these factors vitiate any consent given in a contract. This is unwilling and forced consent. When a lecturer as powerful as this man who even the university senate is afraid of (he has been reported times without number and no action has been taken against him), a feared cultist. a self acslaimed sadist, a well known rapist tells you ' you wont graduate if i dont sleep with you' and you are in your fourth year after all your stress in school, you are in his locked office on a saturday when they are not many people in school, the man physically overpowers you and you say its not a rape cos she didnt shout?

Do you have any idea the feelings of shame, worthlessness, filthiness, guilt, regret, dirtiness a rape victim has after the act that you expact her to call attention to herself at that time? Please i dont need any physical evidence. Anyone who knows this man knows that he is guilty of what he is accused of. He deserves to be debarred and sacked, castrated even.

Please be more careful and less insensitive with your comments if you know nothing about the issue. What you posted is hurtful to the countless victims of this pervert across the world. And FYI the girl he is accused of raping is not a calabar girl, she is from Akwa Ibom so ur Calabar girl comment is uninformed at best and ignorant at worst. No offence
