At one point or another, we’ve all seen drop test videos on Youtube where people intentionally drop flagship devices just to see how durable they are. This is standard, but when phone throwing becomes some sort of sport where people win prizes, one begins to wonder what exactly is to be achieved. Well, this may not really sound new for those with temper who would smash their devices against the wall in a fit of anger, but for a lot of us, this sounds rather… crazy. According to the information on the organizers website, this sport has been around since 2000 though the first national championships took place in Norway in 2004. Unfortunately, you may not be allowed to get rid of that frustrating smartphone of yours by bringing it to the championships for smashing. You will have to use devices provided at the event. You need to pay around $11 as an individual and kids will pay half as much as that. Freestyle teams will have to pay around $30 USD each Watch clips here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v= https://m.youtube.com/watch?v= https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUsj_aqer6g |
