First of all, don't compare a big population to a big market. But even at that, we are 200 million and USA is 350 million. Then their per income capital is much higher than ours, meaning that while only 50 million of our 200 million can afford China's goods, 250 million of USA's 350 million can afford China's goods.
All major US companies have factories in China, how many Nigerian company can boast of the same?
If USA wants China to back down from buying from us they will. Only the threat of removing Apple's factory from China made China jittery. Nigeria is not worth the stress of annoying USA. They will back down if US wants them to.
please join hand with me o let's educate this AllenSpencer seems the guy is high on fufu with kunu this early momo

So it's about Trump and not the US standing for a murdered journalist grin If it were to be Iran, multiple sanctions would have been raining on them now.

China can't lend but they still very much strong. That's an economy you can't toy with and can't be brought down again at this stage. All this trade war with US will be soughted out in coming months. China has strong relationships with Nigeria presently and can never boycoth our oil. That is fixed.

Trump can't even sanction us in the first place. Nigeria is a loyal Emirate country. All that will mellow Trump is a call from Saudi king.
if it isn't about trump why then did Turkey president accuse Trump of being quiet about Kashoggi murder? why dint he said US instead

A call from Saudi king? lol you never told me comedy was ur profession aside int'l political ignorance grin grin

Maduro has already evicted US diplomats days ago.

Russia that is dictating fly zones to US in Syria.
Lol I knw you did not read when US said they're not going to leave Venezuela. bro lets have some pop corn and watch Maduro suffer with Russia doing nothing to help their pity state grin

There is a difference between evicting and harming.
There are still some remaining diplomats in Venezuela, some are probably secrets agents under cover.
They are the ones America is trying to protect.

Russian no fly zone is of no effect. America will never respect it.
Even the Israelis still enter and bomb Syrian military formation.
Russia will not shoot down a US jet. The best they can do is to alert America of their presence in a region, so as not to get blown away by American missiles.
Now you're being reasonable. ....I think allenspencer really need to be lectured on international politics.

I just hope the guy could explain why US strike killed over 200 Russia machineries in Syria yet Russia couldn't do anything till date only issue threat in which they've not even acted on a bit of it

Hello, I repeat again, of not Russia warning specifically directed to the US, US would have started with Venezuela.

Have you seen any scenerio where Russia talks and US goes otherwise. Has all the sanctions reduced Russia's military prowess!? Rather they getting stronger with more stronger allieds like China and Pakistan, Iran, North Korea
Ok it's to early to argue but let Russia come and reverse this sanction US ve imposed on Venezuela or give them lots of money or force other countries to buy oil from them then we can argue about Russia

That is the same thing I suggested for Zimbabwe on another thread.

There is no point being anti western while your people are begging bread.

A good leader that knows how to compromise with sense will achieve a lot more prosperity for his people than a strong headed mad man.
anonymous1759 you need this.....Plus you dont fight people who have you in their palms. US have done the world evil than good but I repeat it's useless fighting US it's foolish cause you cant win.

Take Gadaffi for example, Assad, Saddam Hussein and sadly Maduro is touring towards same path

What economic sanction? When China is willing and ready to hug us. What do we need them for? We have nothing to lose, they have a lot. Their investments are here.

Trump won't even do it. He is a boy to Saudi Arabia which who will just tell him to keep mute.

Have you seen Trump issue warning on Jamal Kashiogi's murder or war in Yemen? He will never do. His Daddy's are the ones calling the shot.

With present Trump, Anything Saudi says or does is final.
Lol ignorance at it's peak is what is dealing with you grin grin is it same China that can no longer lend huge money to other countries dues to US sanction and tariff increment

Plus Kashoggi is a Saudi Arabia citizen who has criticised trumps administration about a few times so why fight for man who's not ur citizen and still criticise your government huh or ur thinking US would throw away billions of dollars deal because of a dead saudi man? haba bros how far

Grow some international political ideas bro

The way the US is going, this might just lead to WWW III because Russia and China won't just sit idle and allow the US destroy all their investments in Venezuela.

And those saying Russia can't stop US, they stopped the US from toppling Syrian President, so they can stop the US again.
They wount allow US destroy all their investment? now tell me what would they do? bombard US or force countries to continue trade with Venezuela?

The last time I checked only China and Russia does business with North Korea and guess what? NK president still came begging US meaning neither Russia or China can only add but a bit in improving their condition. if China or Russia even dare interfere they'll still get sanctions

Plus US got what they want that is Being the world largest oil producer overtaking Saudi so Both Assad and Putin can continue to kill Syrians how they like Trump doesn't care they've already got what they want hence why trump want his troops pulled out of Syria not a sign of weakness but their aim is achieved already

Super power that won't bark when Russia just talks.

If not Russia warning, America would have been ready to bombard Venezuela now.
Is there war in Venezuela that the US need to bomb them huh man you're not just making sense here

Russia have power right? why cant they help Venezuela now that it's economy is about crashing

This same Russia would get double sanction than they could bear if they dare cross US shore to Venezuela. they can only wail like NL zombies and you know what they've done that already at UN meeting

This is a coup through back door.

The Venezuelan President was duly elected by its people. America does not care about Venezuelans, they are only after installing a President they can control so they can access their crude oil.

Venezuela has the highest proven crude oil reserve on the planet, more than even Saudi Arabia.

All they want is to install a puppet régime.

If you know you know.
Lol is not better they've a puppet regime and the people enjoys n live a better life than have one who brings hardship and inflation on the surviving few

meanwhile, Thousands of Venezuelans filled the streets Saturday accusing embattled President Nicolas Maduro of usurping power and joining the
nation’s re-invigorated opposition movement in demanding he step down as the country reels from a crushing economic crisis forcing millions to flee or go hungry.

Large crowds of protesters gathered in Caracas waving flags and chanting “Get out Maduro!” in what was shaping up to be the largest demonstration since a wave of unrest that left more than 120
dead in 2017.

Foreign Affairs › JUST IN: US Announces Sanctions Targeting Venezuela’s Oil Industry by heendrix(op): 10:00am On Jan 29, 2019
The Trump administration on Monday escalated its efforts to force Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro from power, blocking all U.S. revenue to Venezuela’s
national oil company and calling on members of its armed forces to switch their allegiance to the man the United States now recognizes as Venezuela’s head of
state.

Any attempt to harm remaining U.S. diplomats in Venezuela, or violence against the newly recognized president, Juan Guaidó , “will be met with a significant response,” White House national security
adviser John Bolton said.

President Trump “has made it very clear all options are on the table,” said Bolton, who announced the sanctions at a white House press briefing alongside
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin
For the moment, the administration is depending on economic and diplomatic measures to squeeze Maduro, who has refused to leave and charged the United States with trying to overthrow his government. Pentagon officials have indicated they have no orders to prepare for military action toward Venezuela. But by starving Maduro of a critical source of cash, the Trump administration has dramatically increased the pressure on his government.

Bolton said that Venezuelan “official and military personnel” were already “heeding this call” to change sides, noting that the military attache at the country’s embassy in Washington has publicly recognized Guaidó’s government, as has the Venezuelan Consulate in Miami. He also said that several unnamed generals who last week publicly pledged loyalty to Maduro were already in contact with the opposition.

The measures announced Monday place sanctions on PDVSA, the Venezuelan state oil company, freezing $7 billion in U.S.- based assets and blocking more than $11 billion in revenue that would otherwise flow from oil sales over the next year, Bolton said.

At least 20 other countries, most of them in the Western Hemisphere, have joined the United States, which recognized Guaidó, 35, as the legitimate president of Venezuela on Wednesday. At a U.N. Security Council meeting Saturday, several leading
European governments threatened to recognize Guaidó, the elected president of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, unless a plan for new elections was announced by the end of this week.

Foreign Affairs › Re: China-us War: China’s Economy Slows Down Under The Weight Of Trump’s Sanctions by heendrix(m): 12:24pm On Jan 28, 2019
freakyamanda:
As the trade war between the United States and China intensifies, both countries are beginning to feel the heat. It is particularly worrisome for China as the world’s second largest economy slows down under the weight of economic tariffs on trade with the US.

According to analysts, China’s economic growth rate went down to 6.5 percent in the third quarter of last year; the lowest ever since 2009. Economist forecast for this year is even more gloomy; at 6.2percent. This is not to say that the United States is also not bearing the brunt of the conflict. Economists are less optimistic about U.S. expansion this year too, though they’re nearly unanimous in feeling a recession can be kept at bay until at least 2020.
What Donald Trump has done to hurt China is his policy of imposing high tariffs on Chinese goods, which has led to a plunge in Chinese imports into the United States. With no market to sell their goods, the Chinese are looking elsewhere, to Europe and developing economies.
All the signs on ground shows that things are not looking good in China as they did two years ago. Car purchases fell last year for the first time in more than two decades. iPhone sales also went down abnormally in China last year. Meanwhile, the stock market in Shanghai has still plunged by more than a quarter from its 2018 high.

http://www.todaysecho.com/china-us-war-chinas-economy-slows-down-under-the-weight-of-trumps-sanctions/

Moreover, reports wafting into the media space this morning indicate that Chinese banks, although not insolvent, do not have enough money to fulfil their lending obligations unless they get some money from outside. Chinese Banks simply don’t have the ability to continue lending as much as they do without additional capital

This means China cannot loan out money to other countries as it used to. This is a source of worry for third world countries like Nigeria, which is leveraging Chinese funding to execute $3.4 billion worth of projects. In September 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari was in China to secure an additional $328 million from the Asian economic powerhouse.

Furthermore, China has been shuffling its securities regulators in the past three years. Banking veteran Yi Huiman was appointed the new chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission on Saturday, January 26.

Nevertheless, the Chinese economy remain strong despite the downturns. The Yuan is strong and growth rate remains high despite the decline. Analysts believe this current crisis is a test of the endurance of the evolving Chinese economy.

The Chinese know the trade war with the US is hurting them badly, that is why they have indicated reainess to renegotiate.
The U.S. and China will hold a pivotal round of talks this week in an attempt to end their trade war. The meetings are scheduled to commence on January 30. Bloomberg predicts 3 scenarios:

The U.S. and China agree to hold more talks
China comes to table with a game-changing offer
Negotiations break down and Trump walks away
