OMG...I remember then at Auchi,we used to live at the GRA area which is hilly so out TV antenna was very strong and the TV receptions out of then bendel state were very good. We had NTA 11 Akure,NTA 8 Enugu and our own NTA Benin. Then at times we used to receive NTA 9 Ilorin and if you turn your pole a bit,you get NTA 8 again for Lagos TV.
But it was NTA 8 Enugu we started watching the Tortoise Club show every Saturday anchored by this lovely Nkem lady and it was a very interesting show then for kids...those days, nepa constant...we don't know what happened to this Nigeria. |

That guy seems to be the Julius Abure in my school,in primary school then in Benin city. He was very tall and way above us other kids in age and maturity. I remember one evening we were having this extra lessons class and miss Ero,our science teacher asked him to give her chalk and he threw the chalk at her to her chargrin. Then after some years,I also saw him working at Benin post office. I am sure he's the one cos he's always been a tall person.
Looks like he's from the Ishan part of Edo. |
Health › Re: My Son Looks Like 7up's Fido Dido, Help!!!! by HeightsKE: 11:16pm On Feb 28, 2024 |
blazer2018: Hi guys, please I really need your help.
I have a twelve years old son who is very lanky, he looks d*mn too malnourished for comfort. He was very robust from birth till around the age of 8, when all of a sudden he started depreciating, initially, we thought it was a normal thing, as he was growing taller too, but now, I can't even bring myself to post his pictures on my status. He looks just like 7up's Fido Dido.
Now, this is a boy who eats whatever he wants, he's well fed, and lacks nothing. But with his looks, you will doubt that he's even fed at all. Although he looks far from being healthy, but he rarely falls sick. He's so skiny that whoever sees him, asks us what's wrong with him. Another thing, he always leaves his mouth opened, something that has now affected his teeth. We tried every tricks in the book to stop this, but to no avail, he can hardly keep his lips shut for more than 30 seconds.
Now, he's is a very hyperactive boy and finds it difficult concentrating atimes, but he's well above average in school.
Kindly help with solutions to this problem, it brings tears to my eyes as we have done everything we can think of to reverse this. Recently, a doctor suggested we place him on egg regimen, he now eats 3 eggs daily, but there seems to be no changes whatsoever. Recommended medications, specialist or hospital we can take him to, preferably in the South West would be highly appreciated.
He's my only child, please help a desperate father!!!🥺 When last did you deworm him? The egg regimen is ok but try mixing alot of raw egg in the grounded beans to make moi moi. Do the first like 6 months. Don't boil the eggs and cut, just mix the raw egg in the grounded beans before steaming/ boiling. If you can afford it,give a lot of rich tea with enough milk. Then again,he's not too young to try doing some little power exercises like pushups and lifting some little weights under your guidance,o...that will make him build muscles and bones. Try these. |

healthmister01: JAMB registration has commenced for about four (4) weeks now and there have been a lot of issues so far. There have been lots of complaints about profile code. I have seen that most of the errors are really from you guys. Some of you are the ones sending your Nin incorrectly.
Please kindly take note of the following information:
1. You are to send "NIN 9787829 (Your nin number to 55019).
2. If you have registered jamb before, you are to use same profile code, your profile code cannot change it. If you have lost it, go and retrieve the sim card.
3. I always tell students - "make sure your eyes is on the system during registration to avoid complaints".
Only few students have made mistakes so far for JAMB registration, which is quite low compared to previous years.
4. Once you make mistakes on your email omo. It's a serious problem. Very serious problem.
5. You can always change course and institution in the future if you made a mistake.
6. And please check your slip if your subject combination is correct. Some >>>

Interesting15: Wisdom For Destiny Daily Devotional (4th February 2024)
by Sunday Akanni
TOPIC: The First Time He Took A Cigarette For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.I Corinthians 6:20 NKJV Message
There is someone I used to know, a man who was vehemently addicted to smoking and taking alcoholic drinks. He helplessly spent a lot of money every day just to tend to his addictions, so much so that his family (his wife and children) struggled to live a good life.
After some time, he started getting sick, and upon being diagnosed, it was obvious that his addictions had started affecting his internal organs. Unfortunately, he was so addicted that even while dying each day, he couldn't stop smoking and drinking, till he died.
Upon reflecting on the incident, I started imagining the very first time he probably took a cigarette. It would have been exciting and he would have been thrilled with his newly found adventure. Obviously, he won't have imagined that in years to come, he would become a slave to his addictions, and will slowly watch how what he loved sucks life away from his body. On the day of his death, he might have looked back to the very first day he took his first cigarette and alcohol, and wished he had turned it down when offered. But it was too late.
When you see an addict, there is always a first time he or she tried that thing. There is always a first time. The first time, they won't have imagined the extent of the damage they will wreak on their bodies shortly.
The first time you are introduced to something sinful, it always seems pleasurable and enjoyable. It might be sexual immorality, taking what's not yours, telling a lie, injecting harmful substances into your body, etc. Your fallen flesh craves for more, and the pleasures deaden your senses of reasoning and conscience. You soon gravitate into a state of addiction, and you become a slave to what gives you sinful pleasure.
Unfortunately, the wicked devil utilizes your sinful addictions to actualize his cruel aims - to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). He steals a person's identity, strength, peace and wellbeing, etc. He kills the person by causing a separation between them and God (who is our Creator and Source) before dumping such into their premature grave (since such a person has given him the access to spoil their life by slipping away from under God's hedge of protection). He destroys such an individual by getting them ruined eternally in hell.
The first time you do something sinful and you enjoy the pleasure, know that this could only be the beginning of a journey into a nasty addiction that you will regret eventually. Whenever you have the choice to do something sinful and wrong, let the thoughts of the terrible implications advise you to ignore such.
And if you are currently addicted to anything bad and harmful, run to Jesus today and ask for His help.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me to not embrace a lifestyle that leads to destruction.

https://www.instagram.com/p/C26q3BnoNg8/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== God bless you richly for this soul touching piece. A lot of people especially Christians are held captive by these satanic and sinful habits. Please do not stop passing this message of hope,a lot of people need it and i wish you could put it in tracts and spread. May the lord continue to strengthen you. |
