How do I go about the process?

Firstly, you need an international passport.
Secondly, you need to be in good standing with MLSCN (meaning you must be up to date financially).

Thirdly, you must have no criminal record against you in Nigeria.

OK, how do I go about it?

OK, to be licensed in Ireland as a Medical Scientist, you will pass through two processes

Process one: Recognition
Process two: Registration.

LET'S BEGIN........

To work in Ireland as a Medical laboratory scientist, you must be registered and licensed by a body called CORU which is equivalent to MLSCN (in Nigeria).

When is it okay for me to start applying to work in Ireland as a Medical laboratory scientist?

Once you graduate, got your degree certificate and some experience. Your NYSC and internship are part of your experience provided you worked in a medical lab within those periods.

Do you need to make 2:1 (Second Class Honors, Upper divisions) to apply?
No, you don't need to.

Helicase:
This thread is dedicated to all well-meaning Nigerian-Trained Medical Laboratory Scientists who want to Japa to the Republic of Ireland.

Therefore, every discussion(s) and inquiry(ies) regarding this should be channeled here.

Thanks.

Where did you get that information from?
That's a fallacy.
I like the fact that you said it is hearsay.

Ebubu3:
I hear say na lab technicians them dey practise as for obodo oyibo. Equivalent as laboratory technician here

Na doctors wey specialise in haematology in their residency dey call the shots in obodo oyibo labs, not med lab

Hello fellow Scientists.

This general thread is intended for Nigerian-trained Medical Laboratory Scientists who are seeking better opportunities abroad, such as in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, and other countries.

I created this thread owing to the fact I have searched Nairaland and am yet to see a Japa thread for Nigerian medical laboratory scientists.

I only found the Medical Laboratory Scientists forum but it seems not to be active.

So, all intending migrant Scientists should meet here to discuss, rub minds and share tips cum ideas about how to migrate to different countries (Ireland, UK, Canada, Australia, USA etc,. including their respective Visa requirements, certifications, costs and exams.

Thanks.

Helicase:
Chaos unfolds at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, Odume Obosi, as an uproar engulfs the church grounds. Parishioners take action by locking up the premises, accusing the Catholic parish priest of allegedly selling a church-owned land for an astonishing N43 million and failing to remit the funds to the church's accounts.

In the early hours of Sunday, July 23rd, 2023, the infuriated parishioners barricade the church gate, ensuring that no mass was held on Sunday in protest of the purported misappropriation of parish funds.

Adding to the tension, the concerned parishioners prominently displayed a warning notice, cautioning potential buyers to refrain from engaging in any transactions involving the church property under the management of the questionable priest.

It was gathered that the Reverend Father had been expressing concerns about a decline in income this year, citing personal needs to be met. However, the exact nature of these needs remains undisclosed to the Catholic authorities.

This unfortunate event sheds light on the consequences that arise when individuals driven by greed misuse their religious position, turning their sacred pulpit and divine calling into a profit-seeking enterprise.
