PoliticsRe: Why Lagos Needs To Break Free From The APC by helinues: 5:58am On May 03
WizardOfNG:
Even his talk of Lagos is myopic and unwise. Everyone knows the coded reality of Nigeria whereby 'one Nigeria' is anything but that.

Get the leadership of Lagos wrong, doing yeye democracy the system isnt ready for, and that will open the door to rapacious and covetous enemies-within, with parochial agendas, messing up Lagos for good.

I shudder thinking of a character like GRV becoming Lagos Governor. God forbid.
Abi, in my case, I have issue with Yayi but not with Yewa people, I have issue with Adelabu and reasonable of those showing face as Guber aspirants in Oyo state but my issue never get to Oyo people. Infact, I have issue with both OGD and DA representing their senatorial district but not with my Ogun East people

We all want the best for our respective states but we should be sensitive in discussing it without disrespecting others that shouldn't have been involved
Foreign AffairsRe: Acting South African High Commissioner Summoned Over Attacks On Nigerians by helinues:
Funnily, this should be my first response to the Xenophobic attacks going on in South Africa for quite some time now

I just deliberately not put mouth because severally on this forum, I talked about how the South Africans are getting carried away by not controlling their emotions towards other African people. Even when you are engaging with some of them on this forum, they have this tone of being disrespectful while at the same time lack comprehension in discussing issue

Since after Apartheid government was sent packing in SA, can the blacks who have been ruling the country point out to major achievements they have done to develop South Africa or South Africans? or how many jobs opportunity they have created?

South Africa supposed to even be a visa free to reasonable number of Africa countries due to the role they played during apartheid regime. They claimed immigrants are taking their jobs, which jobs have they South Africans created for themselves? 70% of South Africa wealth is being controlled by less than 10% white South Africans, infact there are some areas in SA that blacks are not allowed to enter.

Mandela Tax was introduced in Nigeria, I mean Nigerians are being taxed in order to raise funds for the politicians in South Africa to fight the white regime, Ghanaians school children from primary to secondary to tertiary went on protest in support of the same black South Africans.

Tanzania, Angola, Zimbabwe all sacrificed a lot for sacking the apartheid government.

Should we say some South Africans have a short memory or they are just ungrateful for treating those who stood by them during trying time. Without their input, the apartheid government would have ruled for reasonable years.

Abi OO. OP is hard to work out. One of those who does not understand the adage "if it ain't broke don't fix it".

Nigeria is a complex and abnormal nation hosting ethnic groups who view themselves adversaries with some constantly seeking to use insidious expansionism to penetrate the homeland and interest of others.

Lagos politics, that throws up her Governor, is simply pragmatic, dynamic and ameoba-like with shape adjusting to fit reality on ground.

Incoherent experimentation, championed by those who seek change for the sake of that alone, is why some States are messed up, failed and even terrorised in Nigeria today while Lagos keeps moving in the right direction yeat in and year out.
My issue with the op is trying to disrespect other states with his epistle. He should face Lagos state that he's having issue with and leave other states irrespective of the region

Did Atiku put rope on people's neck forcing them to join ADC?

CrimeRe: Why We Killed 17-Year-Old Jambite After #₦200,000 Ransom - Suspects by helinues:
Any business or deal that will make you or others vulnerable physically, it doesn't worth doing. There is no justification for the nonsense those kidnappers are saying.

I was almost robbed just on Thursday. So I decided to take a walk, there is a train track not too far from me, I normally hear the train passing. So taking a walk on the lonely train track with bushes around is always refreshing.

It's over a year I have been taking my one or 2 times a walk in a week which the whole walk is less than an hour to and fro. So I saw 3 guys ahead of me, my initial thoughts was they are smoking, but when I moved closer, I couldn't perceived any smell, as I was just at where they sat, I noticed one of them had this cheapish smiles but I didn't read a thing.

The guy stood up and move closer to me, before I knew it, he already hold my trouser, then the likely boss block me from the front. I initially thought they were police because robbery at somewhere I have been passing for over a year, around 3 pm for that matter, but when I looked at them properly ( instant brain processing) , I was like , those are robbers.

I was very calm( Street OT) , gave them this wicked smile, Sorry you can't get anything from me apart from my house key, my instincts told me to drop my phone at home even though, 90% of the time I have passed through the same track, I am always with my phone.

I was left alone without being rough handled as I didn't struggle with them.

fergie001:
It is relevant .
Kachikwu is still in Court
Kachikwu backed the State Chairmen that got a favourable judgement this week.

It is politics......simple!
That's how it's played.... morally not good but it is what it is.
But we didn't hear about ADC internal party issue before the likes of Atiku joined. There is no political party without one or 2 internal crisis but they manage it within themselves..

If Atiku who is claiming to be aspiring to be Nigeria president, same as Obi can't manage ordinary internal crisis in a small party like ADC, how on this crust can they manage the complicated Nigeria and Nigerians . What even pursued them from their previous more popular party than ADC?

The genesis of this recent dragging is those who lately joined ADC couldn't manage the already internal issue and still created their own to complicate issue
PoliticsRe: Genesis Of ADC Leadership Crisis( Atiku's joining) by helinues(op): 8:00am On May 02
fergie001:
That's not the genesis.

Ralph Nwosu formed the ADC in 2005 and has been National Chairman. After Kachikiwu defeated Moghalu much to the consternation of everyone, there were issues so in late 2022, Justice Binta Nyako of the FHC sacked Nwosu and his team, that their tenure had expired.

However, after the 2023 Presidential election, the Appeal Court voided that decision that leadership disputes are out of bounds for the Courts. Nwosu returned held a Convention and expelled Kachikiwu, that matter has been in the Supreme Court since Jan 2024.

To this now, Mark & co were pre-coronated on July 2, and the NEC held.... Bala was present and signed the attendance register. He can't win the Court case for anything but politically I think it is bad for Babachir Lawal & ADC.

You call Atiku people.... Babachir is answerable to nobody, including Atiku. Even in the present Adamawa ADC leadership, Atiku was given 10%, Binani & Babachir 25 or 30% each, can't remember. Atiku even said he doesn't want, that they should share amongst themselves. Babachir hijacked all, the reason Binani left. That grasscutter man is a menace!
Your analysis is about pre Atiku in ADC, I am not interested in that as it won't be relevant why the back and forth court arguments. I have adjusted the topic.

Why should Bala be stripped from his position without any renegotiation from the Atiku's camp and they expected him to let go like that

For him to have accepted a lower position from the National position, the Atiku's camp shouldn't have treated Bala's that way. Someone holding deputy national position, after stripping him to Deputy regional position, you then realized he's not old enough in politics. Like seriously
PoliticsRe: Nafiu Bala Gombe Will Not Win His Case At The Nigerian Courts by helinues: 7:57am On May 02
BluntCrazeMan:
Even though politicians are well known for telling lies back-to-back, Bala going to court was not the best option for him.
But since he is already in court, only a highly respected elder statesman can call him back to the negotiation table, and urge him to withdraw the case from the court
The question is, should Bala have been stripped from his old and new position without any renegotiation and expect him to let go like that. Those who broke the agreement could have considered the consequences of their own selfish decisions

Kwankwaso no is no longer a Sharia leader.

Atiku and his co-travellers were no longer structure of criminality. They befriended Dino, Bala Mohamed, David Mark, Aregbe for the same delusional cause. They almost befriended Wike, who later became a 40-year old whisker drinker - according to them.

Soon, they will switch on Atiku and other top ADC chieftains, now that ADC no longer serve their ambition. The same fate await Kwankwaso if that OK proposal fails.

For Kwankwaso, I just dey look that one with side eye. I'm still failing to believe he will make the move it is being rumoured he will make soon.
Bro, do you really believe Kwankwanso can vice Obi? How?

Is it about Political sagacity, bridge extending building, achievements as governors for 8 years, empowerment and generosity, where do you want to place Obi near Kwankwanso is?
PoliticsGenesis Of ADC Leadership Crisis( Atiku's joining) by helinues(op):
Before the likes of Atiku joined ADC, Nafiu Bala was the National deputy chairman, when Atiku came with his own people to take over the party, they initially negotiated with all those who are currently holding the party position and reshuffling their position or compensate them

Bala in particular was promised Deputy Chairman of ADC in North East. It didn't take ( Atiku's camp ) before shifting the same position to Babachir who is the current Deputy Chairman of ADC in North East. They never had their Congress at all. That was the genesis of ADC internal party issue.

If you are in Bala's position, what would you have done after they initially stripped you from the position you have been enjoying before them, promised you with another lower position and still eventually left you with nothing

Whenever I reason about those opposition and their self inflicted drama, I just dey laugh..Even if they unite together and get serious, it's too late for them to win the election in 2027 because election campaign funds will still be issue. Only Atiku is financially strong in the coalition, they are yet to have any governor.

Meanwhile, there are 2 Africa countries on standby ready to fund president Tinubu's reelection. Gambia and Senegal ( Why, story not for now)

Like I have been consistently saying, should Obi or Kwankwanso leave ADC, they are definitely working for president Tinubu

A supporter advising a principal?

If you look at the main players in the new ADC, they all seem to come with their baggages.
It even made me to understand what the problem with the bigger Nigeria is.

Every man is secretly plotting and smiling, and watching carefully to see what other people are trying to plot.

So, who will actually advise who, without the person advised not thinking that the person advising him is plotting something sinister behind his back?

Let everybody continue to play.

We have not really learnt enough.

If not for the decaying security situation and the increased hunger in the land while trillions are being looted away and yet unaccounted for and nobody is giving us the right answers to lots of questions being asked -- I wouldn't have had problems with the current Tinubu Era.

Nevertheless, whatever that happens, it is still a going to be great lessons for everybody.

I never liked the idea of joining the ADC, and I still do not like it up till now.
Whatever that is happening in the ADC now, I foresaw it long ago.
Why are they blaming president Tinubu for their own self inflicted conflicts?

Wasn't that a deliberate mischievousness?

That will change whatever happens in 2027. In the South, it's mostly those who follow politics on social media that know who Mr Kwankwaso is. He's not well known amongst the Southern population.

However, if he becomes Mr Obi's VP candidate, his profile in the South will rise exponentially.

Going into 2031, Mr Obi's supporters will find it easier to adopt him as their preferred Northern candidate, particularly if he chooses an 'obidient' put foward as his VP.

Unless there’s an intractable reason which we dont know as to why he won't be able to spread his popularity beyond Kano between now and 2031, then your point about his lack of broad-based support will fall apart.

Any, as a British politician said, a week is a long time in politics. So a lot can change between now and 2031.
Your epistle didn't cover the other part of my comments which wasn't considered

Nigeria political dynamics would change after the 2027 election . I have written about how Apc might likely collapse before the 2031 election
