TheStranger: That's politics, same tinubu that castigated buhari still aligned with him, look at Reno that called tinubu a drug lord is not with the alleged drug lord. That's politics All those instances are different. I don't know which tribe you are from, but you see for Yoruba land, there is some betraying that's unforgiven. FFK is not likely part of this government probably because of his dad's mistakes.. Aregbe is plainly an Odale. So him coming out openly to join the coalition, likely eventually, they would loose, how would he be able to work around anywhere with such shame? |

ClearFlair: Peter Obi or nothing. Everybody knows Peter Obi is the leader Nigeria needs. Peter Obi is only overrated by his supporters, amongst the politicians he's just hanging around average. If Peter Obi is really serious, he should either be neutral or support any candidate of his choice. The probably of Peter Obi getting the Presidential ticket or the vice president under the coalition is slim, at the same time, he can't win the presidency on his own |

Adexgentle005: prostitution is a thing of the mind. Like you know exactly what you are going into with you full chest. You enjoyed the sex and still get paid. The point is the regrets that follow in every sex don't worth it. Most people get into prostitution naively thinking they are leaving their life. After years and you flash back, the guilt that would follow is unnecessary. |

When I said Kanu and Ipob was used to achieve SEDC, some people don't understand.
Why was it that after SEDC was approved, the over 2 years sit at home stopped? Some politicians from South East have been claiming to be close to president Tinubu, why can't they beg on his behalf? |

Aregbesola is the least person to join any coalition against president Tinubu. Even if he's determined to do that, it should have been secretly.
What Aregbesola is doing is not only going to affect him but his generations .
Is it not the same Aregbe that president Tinubu used to send to Oyetola to collect something whenever he was broke when he was nobody. He almost denied same Oyetola his first term, but succeeded in his reelection |

The Coalition are currently the hot topic in Nigeria and every single facet of it should be open to discussion. If helinues thinks each deserves a thread, then so be it.

Politics › Re: President Tinubu Arrives In Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Ahead Of BRICS Summit by helinues: 6:50am On Jul 05, 2025 |
DeepSight: Fundamentally the precepts which advocate devaluation of currencies are designed to grant Imperialist societies cheap and easy procurement of value from you which puts such Imperialist societies in a dominant economic position over you. This is made worse once the country devaluing its currency is not a producing industrial power - in which case it could be advantageous. When the country is import dependent it is economic suicide. For the simple reason that it will have to pay more of its local currency for every single thing it needs. This furthers inflation.
Additionally the idea that subsidies are bad for such economies is a very insidious one. Western economies have always survived and been resuscitated at their worst moments by very large injections of subsidies. Go and find out how the USA came out of the Great Depression. Go and find out all the subsidies that are deployed up till today in the first world. And where necessary they do it by the creation of new money. By fiat. But these Imperialist societies will come to poor countries and tell them the lie that subsidies will kill them. In our case, our subsidy was perfectly sustainable but for the massive corruption which came into its operation. The government ought to have targeted that corruption rather than throwing the baby out with the bath water.
These policies taken together are not really different from the Structural Adjustment Program of the 80s. Its just SAP 2.0. Its nothing new. SAP 1.0 failed and this one will fail as well - do you know something? This set of policies have failed in every single third world economy where they have been deployed - bar none. If you can point out one where they ever succeeded, let me know. There is none. It is a recipe for recession, inflation and starvation and it has faithfully delivered all these everywhere it has been implemented.
PS: As regards FOREX please dont make the mistake of talking about the fraudulent dual exchange rate. That is a different matter from devaluing currency. The policies you are referring to was designed for most especially Africa countries to be accumulating debts, we have seen that and change our strategies hence able to clear off our debt. Kenya can't even borrow any money at the moment |

9jii: That ll be the end of his political career and El-rufai will forever mock his supporters when they finally find out how gullible they are. I have advised Peter Obi to join Apc, not for votes but not just to make more jokes of himself. The coalition would hardly give him either their presidential ticket or VP position while he can't win the presidency on its own. Peter Obi has nothing to loose in joining Apc, his supporters can go and support other candidates as they are not needed, their principal joining is not for votes |
Politics › Re: I Am Yet To See How The Coalition Can Defeat President Tinubu by helinues(op): 6:44am On Jul 05, 2025 |
When you have too many ambitious people in a group, decisions making would be contradictory.
Politically and religiously, majority of the leader of the coalition don't share same ideology
Atiku/Elrufai don't share same political and religious Ideology
Obi/El Rufai don't share same political and religious Ideology
Atiku/Amaechi is also the same.
When you match the leaders of the coalition together, their ideology basis are different |

9jii: Coalition is just another El-rufai 's northern Fulani agenda to deny the South second term. He only supported Tinibu in 2023 because of Muslim -muslim ticket. And he will never support Obi with ADC to be president. My only curiosity is, should Peter Obi be denied the presidential/VP ticket of the coalition, what would be the next step for him to take? Remain in the coalition or find another political party like LP to get their presidential ticket? |
Politics › Re: I Am Yet To See How The Coalition Can Defeat President Tinubu by helinues(op): 6:37am On Jul 05, 2025 |
igboarenice: Aregbesola is the interim Secretary of the coalition One call from President Tinubu and he will sabotage the coalition Besides the coalition has no momentum at all LP and Pdp might collapse their party structure for Apc as those who left the party didn't leave with good faith. Both parties have nothing to loose in doing that |
