First, a lecturer in a Polytechnic does not need a master's or a PhD.
The curriculum in the system does not demand that.
The polytechnic is a practical (hands-on) based system of education in which the classes being taught are the PRACTICAL SUPPORT, LEAST BASIC THEORY.
That is why a lecturer of a Polytechnic should NEVER be a Polytechnic graduate but a University graduate.


A Master's is for in-depth theory, which is not needed in a polytechnic
A PhD is a research-based degree that is NEVER part of the polytechnic.

So why then should it be mandatory for them to obtain any?
