Whether you work or not in Canada, you're entitled to free housing, free healthcare, cars and monthly payments from government. These things are not available in Nigeria. A billionaire in Nigeria can't be compared to a professional banker in Canada

It is accurately rewarding to relocate to Canada and work menial jobs collecting dollars than to be a business man in Nigeria with billions of naira networth.

There are reasons

(1) The quality of life, even if you're packing snows in Canada, far better than what anyone can get in Nigeria jungle. And when you convert your wages to naira, you'll see that you're richer than all of your mates in Nigeria.

And trust me, if the fiancée had not done her homework well, and it happens that the man's mother doesn't like what she sees in the lady, the mother can easily talk her son out of it, and the fiancée's opinion cannot do much at this point because the man's father will support his own wife (the man's mother), and the man in question wouldn't want to be against his father.
