Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Almighty 'can We Meet You?' Question. by hemartins(m):
When an interviewer asks the question ‘Can we meet you’, you should take it up as a real opportunity to wow them with your answer. Wow-ing does not mean you being to speak in too candid or animated a fashion, but rather just speaking very lucidly and speaking in good English. After glancing through your CV they probably want to meet you in person to see if you fit the bill, so you should try your best to impress them

Crime › Why We Should Stop Jungle Justice by hemartins(op): 7:54am On Jul 08, 2017
Rather let the crime of the guilty go unpunished than let the innocent Suffer.

The recent menace of the notorious group popularly called Baddo has left
Some people into taking laws into their hands.

Why We Should Stop Jungle Justice

The Innocent Are Involved.

Take it or take it, not all those that are been lynched even with glaring evidence are guilty. Some might just be a victim of circumstance and others might be scared that they couldn't explain themselves.
Rather let the crime of the guilty go unpunished than let the innocent Suffer.

Blood On Your Hands

When you join an angry mob in killing a suspected criminal, you have been linked with murder. That's a record you don't want to be involved with. Thou shall not kill.

Chaos And Tension

We never can tell who the next victim could be. The tension is high and everyone needs to be on guard. A man with dreadlocks was almost lynched just because he offered to help a pregnant woman carry her child. He was almost mistaken for a kidnapper.

You Are Not The Police.

If you ever feel you need to enforce the law, join the police but if not, you can help out in giving useful information on their arrest. Whatever happens to a criminal after arrest should not be your consign.

Remember it is called JUNGLE JUSTICE and a not CIVILIZED JUSTICE.
Anyone could be caught up in it.
Report any suspicious event to the police and say NO TO JUNGLE JUSTICE.

I am Emmanuel Martins Udu and I say NO to jungle justice.

Politics › Re: PHOTOS: Lekki Main Gate Flooded by hemartins(m): 7:58am On Jun 26, 2017
laudate:
The problem with that particular section of Victoria Garden City Estate (VGC), Lekki (as shown in that photo), is nothing but poor drainage. angry This flooding occurs each time there is a little rain in that axis, and the stagnant water remains in place for days on end, before it dries up. The drains are too shallow, and are often blocked with silt, sand etc. They were poorly constructed, right from day one. This is why the floodwater cannot flow out. undecided

There are cities below sea level in the Western world, that have solved the problem of perennial flooding. sad The only time you see massive floods in those places, is when there is a hurricane or a typhoon. Here in Nigeria, we are just too lazy to do something about our drainage infrastructure. undecided

Lagos state has an office for drainage services, which was active during Fashola's tenure. Their brief was to unblock the canals, de-silt the drainage channels, and remove illegal structures that blocked the free flow of floodwater. They seem to have gone to sleep since Ambode took over. And to think that VGC residents pay one of the highest land use charges in the whole of Lagos state...shame! shocked

God bless you for this submission, bro'. cheesy
I almost read your post when I saw "the stagnant water stays for days"
You lied through your teeth. The water drain I'm less than a day.
Ponder on this principle if you are intelligent, if you don't understand this then you ain't worth my time.

Water maintain the same level at all horizontal plain and would always flow towards a lower level. Eat that.
