iLegendd: In summary, these are what I learned.
A. Despite how humble you are, people must find arrogance in you — you can't escape it even if you're introverted.
B. Nobody wants you to be better than them.
C. Nobody wants you to be happier than them.
D. Nobody wants you to be more creative and intelligent than them.
E. Nobody wants you to be more exposed, popular, and experienced than them.
F. Nobody wants you to progress more than them.
G. And yes, nobody wants you to be richer or cuter than them. Whatever you do, people must find imperfection in it, but forgot noting is 100% perfect except God.
When you've got it, hide it and you'll live longer or flaunt it and invite jealousy and enemies.
Instead of being bitter with all the difficulties I faced here, I'm grateful.
One final thing, since I felt all odds were against me, I had to build my house, but do come around as a visitor. I hold no grudges against anyone. So, if you find yourself in a relationship where the man or woman is treating you unjustly, don't think twice, take a walk, but don't hold grudges. Always come back to say hi.
God bless Séun Good bless the moderators God bless Nairaland.com God bless all Nairalanders God bless www.Wetclef.com And God bless iLegend, Mr. Naughty Tiger.
And oh! I'm a stubborn child, so you all should expect some sweet troubles, but no fighting. It's all for fun!
"Don't please no man. If you do, you'll be 'caged' and your freedom of speech will be taken away." — Joe Clef, 2017. Really? All these on nairaland? Deep breath. It's well brother. I've steal your quote anyway. Wish you the best |

Business › Things I'm Learning Fast About Business by Henitan24(op): 2:31pm On Oct 07, 2017 |
1. Your client should never be your friend. And your friend should never be your client. Money wrecks Good Relationships. If you cherish the friendship, do the job for free.
2. Don't be too nice and considerate about charging your fees. The person paying you will not be nice and considerate to you if you don't do the job or if you do a bad job.
3. Completely remove emotions and religion when charging your fees. It's either they can afford you or they cannot. From my experience, clients who think you're unaffordable usually spend more money on even more useless things. It's really not about Affordability but Value.
4. Never agree to be paid later, unless the proceeds will be coming into your account FIRST. Otherwise, if the money goes directly into your client's account, he or she may no longer pick your calls.
Money reveals the worst in the best among us.
Caveat: An exception may be created for clients who once offered voluntary financial assistance. We must remember those who showed up in our darkest hour.
5. When it comes to business and money, promises means nothing to Nigerians. They'd promise anything just to get rid of you. Promises won't pay your bills.
6. Naturally, humans do not like parting with their money to someone else. But you can make it easy for them BY NOT DOING THEIR JOB OR BY WATCHING THEM SUFFER.
Survival always makes people give up money. From my experience, clients in police custody hardly negotiate fees.
7.Any man with too much conscience would forever remain poor. People (men and women without conscience) will take unfair advantage of you (with too much conscience).

EzeEbira: Lol Why should I be hurt, you didn't insult me, You only said your mind, which is not bad What I was just trying to point out is that it is because your tribe is on the favoured side that's why you said so, If you were Igbo and you love Nigeria you won't Voice it out. We Igbo's still harbour the pain of the civil war stories that our parents told us that's why we are not patriotic. The way a Yoruba man sees Nigeria is different from the way a Igbo man sees nigeria, thanks to history, But anyway we will move on till we get liberated. hmmmm...if you claimed that Yoruba's are being favoured you may be right but me as an individual dont think am directly benefiting from that. I'm where I'm today because I'm determined and the help of one of your Igbo brothers. Irrespective of what one or tribe might be going thru there is always light at the end of the tunnel. What I can deduced from the thrives between Yoruba's and Igbo's is just our ego and the story you all claimed to be told by to aged parent, Dude trust me things have change drastically, most of us are learned, knows the good and bad, and I bliv Yoruba's av moved on while you're guys are till dwelling in past. Let go of our ego and watch how things work out for us positively. God knows I love Igbo more than you think, always pray and wish you well. Wasn't happy for the lost of the innocent Igbos. And for the statement I wrote earlier 'I love my country' was not what I intended to write, wanted to used that to booked a space so that I can't antagonised what Buhari said but since is being noticed I can't change it anymore. So I'm not always in support The said Mr. President and Nigeria/Nigerians/Biafra current situation. |
