Too many dumb jocks & furkUp idi0ts have lost their lives and given their blood to further the cause of these misguided "NFA" groups.

Dey are not even like U.S unis frat societies, which are so flawed on their own, so riddance to good rubbish.
The US cults are worse....Cribs! Bloods! Vicelords! Latin King Disciples! Ese!

skitcentral:
This is exactly my thought on the new season. Absolute crap. The two Manchester clubs, both title favorites, have so far failed to excite the league. Man City played the most boring football ever. Today, Man U is driving us insane with their total boring style.

Damn it, is this what they paid millions in signing for?
Premiership has always and will always be boring!!! They just hype it to keep it afloat.

2- Ruth first(South African killed by apartheid ) barrel of a gun.

Good reads in bold. I found those very expository.

Read the 5 majors also.

And I think it was Ademulegun not Ademoyega
Major Ademoyega boss!

Etinosajay:
Wikipedia is not the best search engine or an authority on anything, that is why they provide references to materials, so that you can do your independent verification, and also that they are not liable for any misinformation.

I have also read the account by one Dr Omoigui and another by one Ben Obi in the 5 majors. That's how to read history.

History is a very subtle and complex area to foray into, because if you weren't there when it happened, you can't say which is true or which isn't. You will have to read different accounts to make your own judgments.

A history lesson or lecture will never give an account of an event from one source only. Otherwise it would be pegged with lies and misconstrued to represent the views of a group.

So read The 5 Majors, and read DR Omoiguis version as well, and any other version you find.
Since we are talking bout books let me tell you how many I have read pertaining the coup!

1 -why we struck - by one of the cult plotist himself Major Ademoyega(yoruba)
2-The Nigerian/biafrian war -Alex Madiebo
3- Dr Nowa Omoiguis articles
4-Gen Obasanjo's book 'an intimate portrait of Major Nzeogwu.
5-Ruth first- barrel of a gun
And my dad fought this same war for complete 2years before he was injured in benin after an air strike....so am no novice to this topic my brother, history is always told by the Victors to suit them, it's left for us having an 'inquisitive mind' to go deeper and get information...for example America wasn't winning the war against Japan before they used 'little boy' (atomic weapon) Infact they were been slaughtered at midway, but americans at home felt they were winning the war. The heriocs of the japanese won't be heard cause they couldn't write the history themselves.

While I agree with you in substance, the execution was very poor and casualities lopsided. In such circumstances, it's difficult not to read meanings to it and thats exactly what happened. No matter what you had in mind to do, what matter most at the end is what you are seen to have done. The escape of Okpara for instance was too convenient not to raise an eyebrow.
My Broda I understand where you are coming from, but the truth remains they were many northerners/middle beltans that participated in that Jan 15 coup, but because of their affiliation, they were spared and many went ahead to become known and respected in the nigeria army, but what about the igboshuh

When it comes to history, you don't read one particular book and claim you have read the truth.

Different authorities have different accounts of how it happened. So reading all or most of these books will give you a slight agreement on what really or may have transpired that night in January and the night on July
My Broda! I tried reading about the nigerian counter coup again via wikipedia, on its 50years anniversary, I was shocked when Max Siollun's book was used as a reference of the coup....so bro am not the one really hyping it, but the best search engine called wikipedia. Thanks

Thanks for the reference.
Just finished devouring the master piece.

Cured my ignorance largely.

The causative factors that drove the imprisonment of Awolowo.
The division of the west--by 1964 called the wild west.

The botched first coup planned by Awolowo, the first real plan to get us to safety.

Never new that the first parliamentary fight was in the west, by the western premiere.

The real reason why Azikiwe "betrayed" the Yoruba, by forming alliance with Nigerian National Alliance to form a government in 1965.

How is Azikiwe's love for power made him a sellout to the Eastern premiere and the western premiere and why there was a mutual suspicion till today.

The counter punitive plan by his ally who felt betrayed in the civil war.

The origin of Igbo far out indiscretion and arrogance.

This book is a must read, to clear all grey areas of our history and to straighten all attempts to re-write history by these self serving fathers Azikiwe, Awolowo, Sardauna and Tafewa Balewa to claim heroes of our shared history.....

In fact am glad I read the book and thanks.

Fajuyi was a soldier's soldier. You can only follow someone to death if you love him to his/her soul or you are professionally loyal to death.

He was the later and yes he is a Soldier's soldier.
You so on point boss! I see things differently now about our tumultuous history.

Even BABANGIDA has said this. He said it was not an igbo coup just that it was made to look like that. If the greates coup plotter the country has ever produced can say that. Who are the yoruba's to say otherwise. Freaking cowards
Yes truly Babangida agreed on it.
PoliticsRe: July 1966 Counter-coup: Fajuyi’s Aides Knew About The Coup But Betrayed Him –sis by Henrodah(m): 7:38am On Jul 30, 2016
Am no igbo or yoruba, but I commend you all to try and read Max Siollun's book 'Nigeria's Military Coup Culture' and get clear information about nigeria's history on 'violence'.....contrary to most people's belief, Jan 15th coup wasn't an ibo coup, it was the most nigerianistic coup since this country's inception. But trust the Victors way of narrating stories, it must suit them....please let's read more and Avoid tribalism in any simple historic news we read bout nigeria.

From the day that beast Oshiomole stepped into power in 2008, it has been one increment or the other, little did we know he was using 'it' in building his own semi-private university somewhere in etsako! And he's always the first to open his mouth to accuse other politicians....since my days in aau, I was never a fan of him.

The west is dead. Consumed upon by a heap of liberal bribe taking politicians and fagg0ts.

The Muslims will overrun Europe and from there head south and east.

The grand plan is already in place.

Nigeria will be a major front in the soon
religious world war .

This is one of many reasons I sincerely believe that we in the better south stand more chanced of surviving the coming apocalyptic world war if we hav our own separate state.
Mehn I dey Kaduna oooo! and a full blown christian till death....your write up dey scare me oooo....but we the Christians here give them piece of their cake, they can't over run us here talk less of south..i pray for peace but Islam is what I even call the Anti-christ in disguise.
