Paris Saint-Germain president Sheikh Nasser Al-Khelaifi will try to sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi if the La Liga giants continue their interest in Thiago Silva, according to reports in France. Barcelona have been linked with the Brazil international in recent weeks with the Catalan giants rumoured to be prepared to meet the 28-year-old’s buy-out clause. When Arab Money speaks u listen cos money no b problem just name ur price SOURCE-ESPN But PSG’s president warned that should a bid materialise from the Spanish champions, then the French club will attempt to lure reigning Ballon d’Or winner Messi to Paris, a feat which would cost the club €250 million. "If Barca pay the buy-out clause of Thiago Silva then I will meet Messi's buy-out clause," he told ActuSports.fr. And Al-Khelaifi continued his attempts to dissuade his European rivals by admitting PSG would stay tracking a number of Barcelona players. |

At the beginning of the Nigerian Proffesional Football League 2012/2013 season, a call was made for volunteers to feed us with live updates and scores of matches from varous match centres. Each match centre had atleast 2 volunteers that made a promise to keep this great forum abreast on happenings. And started on a perfect note, but to our greatest suprise this great innovation died within weeks. Let's patronize our own league cos d Nigerian league you know 3 years back is not the same Nigerian league today, it has improved drastically with standard of play and away teams getting fair results. I beckon with all volunteers to fulfil d promise they made to all nairaland members to always give live score when they are chanced. Thanks! |
Kudos to d young lads but These boys should thank their stars that the policemen were not trained in Nigeria, they would have arrested him first and accused him of conspiring with the kidnappers. CFCfan: Why on Earth will Bayelsa be indebted to the tune of over $1 billion, despite its huge allocations with regards to 13% derivation? Also, keep in mind that the state is one of the least populated in Nigeria. The current debt status of d state was incurred by the former Governor(sylva), the guy murdered d state with pen and paper. |
I wonder why people keep running their mouths over this issue, dis man has accepted he messed up and also volunteered in making sure Amnesty was a success, we have all forgotten that just now because the Crude oil production has gone up again. If to say Militants still dey blow up oil facilities I 4 see if una 4 no call him name make e talk to Militants to accept Amnesty. In as much as am concerned, He is a victim of circumstance cos we still have a lot of Governors that did worse than him are still working freely today. |
I can assure Nairalanders to cover Bayelsa United and Nembe city home games. |

Reuters) - South African Olympic and Paralympic track star Oscar Pistorius, known as the "Blade Runner" for his racing prosthetics, was arrested on Thursday after his girlfriend was shot dead at his home in Pretoria. Police said they had opened a murder case after a 30-year-old woman was found dead at the scene in the upmarket Silverlakes gated community on the outskirts of the capital. "We found a 9 mm pistol at the scene. A 26-year-old man was taken into custody," police spokeswoman Katlego Mogale said. In South Africa police do not identify suspects until they are charged in court. Johannesburg's Talk Radio 702 said Pistorius was believed to have shot his girlfriend, a model, in the head and arm, although the circumstances were unclear. He may have mistaken her for a burglar, the radio report said. Reeva Steenkamp was reported to have been dating Pistorius for a year. In the social pages of last weekend's Sunday Independent, she described Pistorius as having "impeccable" taste. "His gifts are always thoughtful," she was quoted as saying. Pistorius, who races wearing carbon fiber prosthetic blades after he was born without a fibula in both legs, was the first double amputee to run in the Olympics and reached the 400 meter semi-finals in London 2012. In last year's Paralympics he suffered his first loss over 200 meters in nine years. After the race he sullied his media darling persona somewhat by questioning the legitimacy of Brazilian winner Alan Oliveira's prosthetic blades. The comments sparked controversy though Pistorius was quick to express his regret. South Africa has some of the world's highest rates of violent crime and many home owners have weapons to defend themselves against intruders. In 2004, Springbok rugby player Rudi Visagie shot dead his 19-year-old daughter after he mistakenly thought she was a robber trying to steal his car in the middle of the night. Pistorius did not answer his mobile phone on Thursday. His agent told Reuters he had not spoken to Pistorius but his lawyers were with him. Pistorius is sponsored by British telecoms firm BT, sunglasses maker Oakley, sports apparel maker Nike and French designer Thierry Mugler. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/14/us-safrica-pistorius-idUSBRE91D0AE20130214 |
He needs not to be blamed, that dude was extremely tired and if he complains it night sound disrespectful to the club. We shouln't forget that if he had stayed behind 4 the victory party with MR President he would be given a fine by the club. |
