godofuck231:You're actually talking nonsense. Do you even understand the reason for the flooding happening all over Nigeria? Na wa oh, Some of you just thrive in throwing insults around. One would think you know what you're talking about. It's a shame. |
Faber:There's no need listing these things or comparing these states. Ebony is catching up and growing, soon it'll join the rest of them. Hopefully everyone of these states would be getting good governors that would develop our states the more. By the way, I don't know the obsession with flyovers in Nigeria. If I was a governor I would not build any, I would only build flyover in areas where it'll help reduce traffic. I was in Ebony not too long ago, saw some very nice flyovers(and excellent roads) but some of these flyovers ate just for ornamental purposes as there isn't much traffic in those areas to warrant one. They should instead delegate these funds to things that would improve the lives of residents. Education, healthcare, good roads(Ebony seems to be doing well based on what I saw going to Okposi, I even passed afikpo, still reall good roads), investment in agriculture, businesses and manufacturing where possible. Flyovers in my opinion are a waste of funds, I saw some flyovers in Kano states too that didn't solve any traffic issues. Our governors just do things anyhow sha Finally, Aba is not a town, it is a city with a collection of many towns. Same thing applies to Owerri. |
Arda1000:Oga go rest. If you have comprehension issue, firstly indicate before trying to pick an unnecessary fight. Go have a nice day |
Arda1000:'ifesi' and 'ify' are not independent names on their own and they don't hold any real meaning on their own that way. They're shortened form of different names that starts with 'ife-', mostly in Igbo language, there are some Yoruba names too that start like that but I don't know if they're ever shortened to 'ify'. Amanda is a complete name on its own, it is not a shortened name, it is not an Igbo name. It is totally different. Calling someone whose name is Chimamanda, Amanda, is not shortening their names it is essentially giving them a totally different name because both do not relate to each other, do not have similar origin nor similar meanings. That's all thr explanation I have, everything is self explanatory. I don't know why anyone is even thinking in that direction. And finally, my correction is not meant to show that I'm Igbo or that I'm more Igbo than others. There's no need mentioning you are Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. None of these ethnic groups are averse to knowledge and understanding. |
SmartPolician:When you are corrected, learn to take correction and not just dismiss it with an excuse that makes little sense. It's the problem with young people today, they always want to feel correct no matter whatever it is. Even when it is glaring that they're wrong. If our young people do not learn to take corrections and adjustments we would face problems in the future. |
SmartPolician:Amanda is a name on its own, Chimamanda is an Igbo name on its own and not an elongated form of Amanda. Don't butcher people's names just to serve whatever purpose you have. Chimamanda is actually a better name than the Amanda you're trying to pin on her. Her name is not Amanda, there are lots of people who bear Chimamanda. Chimamanda means 'My God would not fall' or 'My God would not fail' Changing it to Amanda totally changes the meaning and the significance of the name. |
Nosayer:Teni did not exhibit any gutter behavior. I watched the video over and over. At a point I start to feel some of you were sponsored to attack her for unjustifiable reason. She didn't exhibit any gutter behavior, you guys should leave the girl alone. |
SmartPolician:Her name is not Amanda. |
Rozross:Pastor ke. You couldn't even read to confirm who is the Eneche, you just rushed in because you've been programmed to hate pastors w=even when they've done nothing wrong. |
Tutuna:Peter Obi is building his race on tribalism. Do you genuinely believe what you say or you just want to say it to spite some people. Hmmm |
Offpointng:WTF is this ![]() Are you even serious with this yeye talk. I don't think osinbajo is more better looking than him sha. So you don't want to vote someone because they're supposedly ugly? If it was about beauty, Buhari would have been a fantastic president since he's not ugly. But alas! |
oyebanji44:Since he's not popular, allow him campaign in peace and prove to him he's not popular at the polls by not voting for him. Simple. But what you are doing instead is to attack either people campaigning for him or destroy properties used for the campaign. It does show one thing, he's not just popular, you are scared of his emergence and his growing popularity and acceptance through out Nigeria. It's a shame what those of you who claim to love Nigeria do to the Nigeria you claim to love. A big shame. |
LongManAfrica:I don't think Reno's sudden disdain for Obi has anything to do with Obi's tribe. Though Reno takes the whole thing to a new level, it still has little to with his tribe but more to do with pocket or stomach infrastructure. Pay attention to Reno very well you would understand. The funny thing is, Reno is not going to vote in the election but he is trying to make himself a loud voice. If Reno is not a sycophant, why was he singing Peter Obi's praises weeks prior to his decamp to Labour Party? It's all about the source of his meal. |
akwabassey:You are not from any of the two cities so how does that concern you? We know very well what you aim to achieve with this thread and nobody would give what you so yearn for |
pocohantas:They're actually not as ignorant as many people try to make them seem including some of their men. They're very well aware of these things, they just want to swindle money out of people's pockets. Feigning ignorance is a way to make it seem like they're innocent, these people are criminals that's been sanctioned and empowered by thr government. |
ImperialYoruba:Last time I heard anything, his daughter is a teacher in a government school in Anambra state. So tell me how he packed his family? Una too foolish and no body around una dey willing to tell una. Shameful lots. |
ruggedtimi:make una dey calm down. No be for ground them dey pick money, aahn aaahn. Na $420k you dey call like 400 naira. Na wa oh |
mrvitalis:These cretins you're trying to explain to already know these things because Obi has repeatedly talked about this, but they would keep making silly noise. They're not genuinely asking because they're curious they're asking because they have nothing else to say. They thought every single politician made their money from drugs or looting. They don't know there are lots of people who either made their money legitimately or inherited from parents or relatives. |
I knew it'll be APAMs omo! I don't know why I don't like anything about the business and how glamorizing they try to make it seem. |
ImperialYoruba:please go ahead and open the box. At least tell or show us something we don't know |
ForumNL:You have gone from Igbos hating those that married outside Igbo and narrowed it down to Yorubas. Need I bring another example just like the Peter Obi example? Dumbo! I think I made mistake by engaging an irredeemable animal in a conversation. |
ForumNL:You and those you know who told you that bullshit and both silly, stupid and foolish. It's only on Nairaland that I keep learning crazy and outlandish things that never happen. Why is Peter Obi not an outcast abi you don't know he's not married to an Igbo woman? You need help from hatred and tribalism that lives permanently in you. |
rusher14:your understanding is poor unfortunately. |
ForumNL:Una go just open mouth dey talk nonsense. Nonsense wey una no fit defend. |
Aderewah:I don't know if this is even a genuine question or not. You said if Igbo don't marry themselves they marry Yorubas or outside Nigeria, this shows you don't even understand the eastern part of Nigeria, probably because you haven't left the western part of Nigeria. Nigeria doesn't start and end in Lagos state. Igbo inter marry with people from Akwa Ibom and Cross river than they marry Yorubas. This is obviously due to the closeness of the regions and maybe a little bit of similarities and understanding socially. Finally, the reason Igbo don't marry Hausas is the same reason Hausas don't marry Igbo. Hausas are predominantly Muslims, Igbos are predominantly Christians. There's very little conversion from either religion to the other. So this creates a hurdle that prevents either from marrying the other. |
Christistruth00:I agree with most things in your post but not this ones. You don't even know what is truly destroying your economy. No country on this planet makes everything they consume. I'll stop it there. |
maureensylvia:these ones are trying to market access bank as a good bank. |
A clown. That's why the criminally but smary took away your victory from you. |
emmaodet:Yes, wise people always do. But majority of people aren't so wise. Another thing you should know is that we all come from different backgrounds, it's easier for someone who doesn't have debts of any kinds to repay and little to no other responsibilities asides oneself, to save. Than for one with all that baggages. Other things are cities were they reside. Some cities are crazy expensive such that the only cheap parts of the cities are crime infested. There's a lot to consider sha. |
emmaodet:Pre tax. People who earn such amount typically don't pay tax. I think they run a progressive taxing system. Where the more you earn the more tax(in percentage) you pay. There's a minimum amount before you start paying tax, I don't know the exact figure but $31k might be below those getting taxed. |
Emyogalanya:In everyone of my post on this thread I've not done any kind of conversion to the naira. My interactions has been 100% based on the value of the dollar right there in the USA. $1800 is not a small amount of money. Social media, celebrities, fraudsters and people with questionable sources of wealth would have you believe otherwise. It is not a small amount of money. Also know that I'm not saying $1800 is worth anything more than what it is. |
Emyogalanya:You couldn't even bring a solid opposing opinion to support your claim that my point holds water, isn't that funny? Bro, anybody that tells you $1800 is not a huge amount of money anywhere in the world is lying to you bro. They're lying to you. The average income in the US is $31k per year. That would be broken down to $2580+ per month. So, you mean to tell me that ~70% of the average income earner's salary in the US is a little amount of money . Omo sha!Remember average income is not the least income. The fact that you use celebrity lifestyle to gauge what is big or little doesn't help your argument. Just so you know, people who some people don't earn upto $1800 in the US per month. |
