The suspension of Senator Ndume, has been described as a violation of the Nigerian constitution by The Citizens Advocacy for Social and Economic Rights (CASER).
The ED, CASER, Mr. Frank Tietie, said that Ndume’s suspension amounts to crass intolerance on the part of majority of Nigerian senators.
CASER has issued the Nigerian Senate a 48 hours ultimatum to rescind the suspension of go to court.
This statement was made by Mr Tietie, the executive director of the organisation, on Thursday, March 30 in Abuja, where he described the suspension of Ndume as a violation of Section 39 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria which guarantees the right to hold an opinion and to express same, Daily Trust reports.

The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has confirmed that The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has approved a wholesale development finance institution licence with national authorization for the Development Bank of Nigeria(DBN). The approval was made subject to meeting the minimum capital requirement of N100 billion, reconstitution of the Board of the bank and reviewing its organizational structure. This was stated in a letter to the MD/CEO of DBN dated March 28, 2017, signed by the Deputy Governor of the CBN in charge of Financial System Stability.

The National Commandant of the Peace Corps of Nigeria, Dickson Akoh has been arraigned before a Federal High Court in Abuja for money laundering.
Akoh had, through his Counsel, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN), filed a bail application, backed by 18-paragraph affidavit, on Monday, 20th March, 2017, urging that he be released from the Police cell.
Barr. John Ochogwu of Kanu Agabi Chambers who lead the debate on the motion in support of the bail application, urged the court, to grant Akoh bail on self-recognition, adding that, the defendant had earlier been granted an administrative bail by the Police.
He was alleged to have obtained huge sums of money by false pretence while laundering the proceeds of extortion from unsuspecting citizens of the country from the ITPCN account to his personal account.

Mr. Churchill reviled in an interview that he met Tonto about 2 and a half years ago at Escape Nightclub in Lagos during his brother’s birthday party. Tonto got pregnant 6 months after they met that triggered him to take the next step by going to her see her family and they got married.

Mercy Johnson is now the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Entertainment, Arts and Culture to the Governor of Kogi State
Gov. Yahaya Bello of Kogi has appointed Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson and 62 others to various offices.
A statement on Tuesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Mrs. Ayoade Folashade Arike, in Lokoja, said the appointments were effective from 1st of April, 2017.
He said that the rationale for the additional appointees at the state level is to “plug identified gaps in service delivery, fill key positions with the right people and to broaden inclusiveness in governance by bringing people from more communities on board.”
Furthermore, aside the 54 Senior Special Assistants appointed, nine Special Assistants to the Governor as Federal Constituency Supervisors for the GYB Connect Programme have also been approved.
Dr. Ayoade mentioned that the appointment is to recognise and encourage outstanding contributions to the New Direction Agenda.
According to him, the Nine Special Assistants will also act as direct liaisons between the present administration and the Local Government Ward Coordinators of the GYB Connect Programme.
The newly appointed Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and their Local Government Areas (LGAs) are as follows:
